This morning I spent hours over atRefugee Resettlement Watch writing my weekly refugee news round-up. Here is how that post begins….
I’ll begin this week with high praise for Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene who introduced legislation in the House of Representatives that calls for a moratorium on immigration.
It will go nowhere, but she deserves much praise for doing something the Republicans rarely do—she went on the offense!
The foolish GOP chickens, time and again, simply react to what the Dems are pushing and virtually never stake out a position that forces the Socialists to counter them.
Trump did it brilliantly and they all hated him for it. And, that is why they want to get rid of Marjorie as well!
I heard Greene interviewed by Greg Kelly on Newsmax and Kelly seemed a bit nervous when he asked her if she meant a moratorium on all immigration and she said, no, just illegal immigration.
Kelly looked relieved. Although it is simply a guess on my part, I figure that he has swallowed this line and has been repeating it everywhere:
ILLEGAL immigration is bad, but LEGAL is good!
When I hear someone say that, usually a politician, I know that they don’t know what the hell they are talking about (or they think you are too dumb and uninformed to counter them!).
Maybe I can entice you to the post by saying there is a link in it to data on where the Unaccompanied Alien Children (Teenagers!) have been placed—in which states and in which counties.
P.S. For all of you who have asked, see that I now have easy to use share buttons at the end of each post!
The International Rescue Committee “[engaged] in collusive behavior and misconduct….”
(US Department of Justice)
The International Rescue Committee(IRC for short), one of nine refugee resettlement contractors*** that do business with the US State Department, has agreed to repay US taxpayers nearly $7 million to settle a fraud case.
The fraud, which occurred during the Obama administration, was discovered in its USAID program to supposedly help Syrian refugees in Turkey.
Seven million is peanuts for the IRC!
If you follow my other blog Refugee Resettlement Watch you know that this contractor, a fake non-profit refugee agency, is financially the richest of the nine contractors having received $440 million in one recent year from American taxpayers. See 2018 IRS Form 990.
Note on that IRS Form 990 that (moneybags) Miliband pulls down an annual salary and benefits package of nearly $1 million.
And, the IRC is a politically active refugee agency (as are all of the nine) having worked against the Trump administration and advocated for the election of Joe Biden.
The International Rescue Committee (“IRC”) Agrees to Pay $6.9 Million To Settle Allegations That It Performed Procurement Fraud by Engaging in Collusive Behavior and Misconduct on Programs Funded by the United States Agency for International Development
WASHINGTON – The Justice Department announced today that the International Rescue Committee (“IRC”) has agreed to pay $6.9 million to settle allegations under the False Claims Act related to United States Agency for International Development (“USAID”)-funded programming for beneficiaries affected by the conflict in Syria.
The settlement announced on March 16, 2021, is part of a civil resolution involving the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia, USAID, and the USAID Office of Inspector General (OIG).
IRC is a global humanitarian aid, relief and development nongovernmental organization that provides emergency aid and long-term assistance to refugees. It is headquartered in New York, New York. In the early years of the conflict in Syria, IRC received USAID funding for humanitarian assistance programming, specifically to provide emergency cross-border humanitarian assistance to internally displaced persons located within Syria.
USAID’s OIG conducted investigations in Turkey into allegations that IRC staff participated in a collusion and kickback scheme with a Turkish supply ring, which included bid-rigging activities in the selection of goods and services contracts for cross-border humanitarian relief into Syria. USAID OIG and the USAO-DC Civil Division also investigated allegations that IRC staff received kickbacks, steered bid procurement tenders, and allowed conflicts of interest between staff and suspect vendors. The investigation revealed that conduct by IRC staff resulted in the procurement of goods at unreasonably high prices, which were subsequently invoiced to USAID from October 2012 to December 2015.
USAO-DC Civil Division and USAID OIG thoroughly examined all source documents including contracts, proposals, contract terms, and invoices, in the lead-up to IRC’s agreement to pay the United States $6,934,500 to settle the False Claims Act allegations.
We are happy to bring this case to resolution and will continue to work with Offices of Inspectors General to ensure that humanitarian aid dollars that are targeted for humanitarian assistance for displaced persons are not compromised by lax oversight controls but are used appropriately to help those in dire need,” said Acting United States Attorney Channing D. Phillips.
Acting USAID Inspector General Thomas J. Ullom stated, “This settlement sends a strong message that USAID-funded implementers must have systems in place to detect, deter, and prevent fraud in humanitarian assistance programming. Aid organizations that lack proper monitoring and oversight controls over their procurement processes put taxpayer dollars at risk and compromise the delivery of critical assistance to those in need. USAID OIG’s global investigative operations will continue to shine a light on and drive consequences for fraud affecting USAID programming.”
Fraud is not rare in the refugee resettlement industry as we noted here last month.
***For New Readersthese are the nine federal refugee contractors who worked to put Biden and Harris in the White House; are lobbying for millions of illegal aliens to be transformed into legal voting citizens; and they have succeeded in getting the new administration to promise to raise the ceiling for refugee admissions to 125,000 for next year FY2022—that is the highest cap in 29 years.
The 62,500 cap you may have been hearing about is for the remainder of FY21. FY21 ends in less than 7 months. So far Biden is dragging his feeton signing necessary documents to open the spigot.
The contractors are in my opinion fake charities because they are largely paid by you, the taxpayer, for their work of changing America by changing the people, and in so doing, are putting struggling Americans last!
“How many of you knew that an alleged serial killer recently operated for years in Dallas and Collin counties, targeting elderly residents?”
(State Rep. Jared Patterson, R-Frisco introducing his bill, one of three bills to assure the horrific murders of vulnerable seniors bring some protection for others.)
The question Patterson asks is one I pose to friends when they ask me about topics I write about on this blog.
Invariably the answer is no, they hadn’t heard, and that is because a story that should be known across America is no where to be found in the mainstream media.
Oh yes, it was covered briefly when Billy Chemirmir was initially arrested, but very little news since then has escaped beyond the state of Texas.
If this is the first you are hearing about it, know that a Kenyan immigrant spent several years getting into the apartments and homes of elderly women in the Dallas area, allegedly smothering them with pillows and stealing their valuables.
Investigators and medical examiners missed the murderous pattern and two dozen died before Chemirmir was arrested.
(There could be more victims. The extent of his murder spree is still not fully known.)
Although some were suspicious, the victims’ families were led to believe their loved one died of natural causes.
Tragically, when the case began to unravel, some family members learned through social media that their mother was the victim of a serial killer.
But, not letting their personal tragedies cause them to mourn in silence, some of the daughters came together to form an organization whose mission is to make sure their horror isn’t visited upon others in Texas.
That is where we pick up this story that has been covered extensively by reporter Charles Scudder at the Dallas Morning News.
‘It is overwhelming’: Daughters testify in support of Texas bill filed in response to Chemirmir case
Police say the women’s mothers were probably victims of the serial-murder suspect. Now, families are urging Texas legislators to pass measures to improve safety in senior-living homes.
AUSTIN — Arm in arm, heels clicking down the marble floors of the Texas Capitol as they walked toward a hearing of the House Committee on Public Health, Shannon Dion and Cheryl Pangburn worried that the legislators wouldn’t hear their message.
For years, they’ve tried to raise an alarm. For years, they said, no one has listened.
Dion was always suspicious about how her mother, Doris Gleason, died in October 2016, but she was brushed off by police, property managers and news reporters alike. Pangburn also had lingering questions after her mother, Marilyn Bixler, died in September 2017, but for months after she learned the truth through Facebook, she couldn’t get police to give her a straight answer.
Investigators now say both women’s mothers were killed by Billy Chemirmir, who is charged with 18 counts of capital murder and two counts of attempted capital murder in Dallas and Collin counties.
Police say he targeted women in independent-living communities and their own homes, smothering them with pillows and stealing jewelry, cash and other valuables to sell.
“You don’t wake up in the mornings without thinking of it,” Dion said.
“It’s with us every day, and you get used to that flow,” Pangburn said. “Then you’re in Austin testifying and it hits you.”
Within days of learning what had happened, Dion and Pangburn say, both wanted to find a silver lining — something good to come from their horror, something to make sure no one else would go through it, too. They and other relatives of the dead founded the nonprofit Secure Our Seniors’ Safety to raise awareness about the slayings and pressure lawmakers to pass laws aimed at improving security at senior-living communities.
Now, after countless late-night calls with each other and Zoom meetings with lawmakers, Pangburn and Dion were finally in Austin, talking to legislators, asking them to listen.
More here. It might be behind a paywall (I am a subscriber), but you should be able to read the story here.
Please visit the website Secure our Senior’s Safety (sign up for their newsletter) and see how these women have come together to assure that their personal tragedy results in changes in the law so that maybe your family, at least in Texas, doesn’t suffer the same fate.

Here is the headline at the Daily Wireon Tuesday. This will make you sick!
Teachers Compile List Of Parents Who Question Racial Curriculum, Plot War On Them
A group of current and former teachers and others in Loudoun County, Virginia, compiled a lengthy list of parents suspected of disagreeing with school system actions, including its teaching of controversial racial concepts — with a stated purpose in part to “infiltrate,” use “hackers” to silence parents’ communications, and “expose these people publicly.”
Members of a 624-member private Facebook group called “Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County” named parents and plotted fundraising and other offline work. Some used pseudonyms, but The Daily Wire has identified them as a who’s who of the affluent jurisdiction outside D.C., including school staff and elected officials.
The sheriff’s criminal investigations division is reviewing the matter — but the group’s activities might be no surprise to top law enforcement because the county’s prosecutor, narrowly elected with the help of $845,000 in cash from George Soros, appears to be a member of the Facebook group.
Secret communications reviewed by The Daily Wire do not offer any evidence of racism by the group’s targets. Their opponents were apparently those who objected to, sought to debate, or were even simply “neutral” about “critical race theory,” a radical philosophy opposed by many liberals and conservatives but increasingly embraced by governments.
Continue here for all the gory details and incredible reporting! The Daily Wire names names too!
Virginia parents, teachers group accused of ‘racketeering,’ intimidating conservative parents
Teachers, parents and other members of a private Facebook group in Loudoun County, Virginia have been accused of compiling a list of names of district parents who oppose “critical race theory” and other progressive, raced-based classroom programs, according to the director of a local Republican political action committee.
Members of a Facebook group called the “Anti-Racist Parents of Loudoun County” have been accused of compiling a list of outspoken conservatives in order to track, hack and “doxx” them – or even intimidate them into self-censorship.
The group also contains teachers, school board members, elected officials and other “prominent members of the left-wing elite in Loudoun County,” according to David Gordon, director of the Virginia Project, a Republican PAC.
And, don’t miss Tucker Carlson’s interviewwith one of the parents who has been targeted by the mean/rich people he calls the ‘Cancel Culture Commandos.’
I love it! One of his admonitions to fight their kind is to use mockery (ridicule) something I mentioned here in my Fight Back series.
Virginia parent on ‘hit list’ for questioning critical race theory in school
It was earlier this month when we saw that the destruction of a Black Lives Matter sign at a church in Missouri turned out to have been the work of— wait for it—a black man.
Sorry move along, nothing to see! No White supremacists lurking there.
Let’s see what happens with this latest gasp! shocker. In the increasingly diverse Howard County, Maryland someone had the audacity to paint over the world BLACK on a Black Lives Matter sign at a Middle School.
***Update*** A reader found a photo of the defaced sign!
The “disturbing crime” left only the words LIVES MATTER, a racist phrase if there ever was one!
Of course my first question is why is there a BLM sign at any public school?
And, that brings me back to my post of a couple of days ago when I wondered out loud why anyone is sending their kids back into public school when parents have just been given the opportunity to make the break!
Here is CAIR’s press release as the hunt intensifies for those wily White supremacists!
CAIR Condemns Racist Graffiti at Md. School, Welcomes Hate Crime Probe
(BALTIMORE, MD, 3/16/21) – The Maryland office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today welcomed a hate crime investigation into racist graffiti reportedly discovered at Glenwood Middle School in Howard County, Md.The incident took place Saturday when the word “Black” in a Black Lives Matter marquee was spray-painted over.
[….]
Howard County Public Schools’ Superintendent Michael Martirano issued a statement condemning the incident and confirming that the graffiti was quickly removed. He added that the incident was being investigated by police as a hate crime. It read in part: “We believe the lives of our black and brown students and staff should not be diminished and devalued in this way. We reiterate our support for the fact that Black lives matter.”
“As schools resume in-person instruction after a long and difficult year, students deserve to know that they will be returning to a safe, inclusive learning environment in which hate won’t be tolerated,” said CAIR’s Director in Maryland Zainab Chaudry. “We look forward to learning the outcome of the investigation, and appropriate consequences for the perpetrators of this disturbing crime.”
Taking a trip down Memory Lane…
Back in 2013, several Maryland conservative Tea Party activists, me included, put on a conference in Annapolis and our featured speaker was the legendary Pamela Geller.
Of course CAIR busied itself trying to kill our gathering and our FREE Speech by intimidating the hotel where we had a contract. Fortunately the hotel stood firm and our conference went on.
They also attempted to intimidate other speakers planning to speak at the event.
I wrote about it here at my blog Potomac Tea Party Report, which I am delighted to see is still there! Chaudry had just appeared on the scene at that time.
CAIR-MD intimidating speakers at MD CAN (again!); boosts registrations!
