This morning I took a tour of my favorite prepper blogs via news aggregator Survival Pulse and came across this scary news at The Organic Prepper:

It is about a potential supply chain crisis generally and specifically about a military supply chain problem.

But, before you write this off as nutty news from the prepper world, see that the story about a major impediment to our supposed military might is actually a warning from Forbes earlier this week:

” Contrary to what you may have heard, Republicans and Democrats do not disagree on everything. When it comes to the growing economic challenge posed by China, they seem to share similar anxieties.

Exhibit A in this emerging bipartisan consensus is President Biden’s February 24 executive order concerning the security of U.S. supply chains. The order expresses worry about recent industrial trends in terms almost identical to those set forth by a Trump executive order on July 21, 2017.

Trump’s directive signaled an embrace of industrial policy, and Biden’s portends that the new administration will stay on that path.

The concern, in a nutshell, is that deindustrialization has led to a hemorrhaging of U.S. manufacturing skills, with China emerging as the main beneficiary.

The moment is fast approaching when America’s military will be unable to equip itself for modern warfare without relying on Chinese suppliers.

So if the war is with China, there’s a good chance the U.S. military would be defeated.

The industrial decline of what was once called the “arsenal of democracy” is much more advanced than many Americans realize.”

Tough times ahead on many fronts I’m afraid, but at least you can be sensible and be somewhat prepared (or LOL! create the illusion for yourself that you are prepared)!
