You might remember the story from June 2017, when a Muslim teen was beaten to death and the local Muslim community and its media mouthpieces were absolutely sure her death was the result of rampant Islamophobia, but as I said here at the time:
…there is no Islamophobic Rightwing redneck American to blame here.
Babubhai Bhurabhai Rathod — a New American who brought cultural diversity and an entrepreneurial spirit to Michigan!
And, one of the most stunning things about this case, where Rathod has been sentenced to twelve years, is that he had already served prison time for the same theft from a similar Medicare and Medicaid fraud scheme.
The Judge on sentencing him this time said this,
Judge Neff described Rathod as both “a man for whom the truth is a stranger” and a naturalized citizen who has “taken advantage of opportunities available in this country to steal from it.”
Of course there isn’t much to cheer about as you know tens of thousands of migrants are streaming across our southern border, most claiming they are refugees seeking asylum.
The flow that has definitely slowed is the US Refugee Admissions Programrefugees that are selected initially by the United Nations, followed by US State Department approval and resettlement by one of nine federal resettlement contractors who distribute them to most states. (One of many posts on the contractors at RRW is here.) The work of the contractors is almost completely funded by you.
Office closures reported this week are the result of the federal slowdown in admissions (slowdown in money to the contractors) and because these resettlement offices could not find enough local financial support to keep their doors open, a fact that demonstrates one vital point:
There is not enough support by the public generally for refugee resettlement!
So he funded the earliest version of a “hate crime” database, but according to Richard Tofel, the president of ProPublica, a founding partner and a recipient of the largess of Soros foundation grants, the database is not an effort to collect statistical data, but instead they are simply “soliciting people’s stories.”
One thing is for sure—new American entrepreneurs are clever, so clever that I am sure many are escaping unnoticed in every immigrant community in America.
This is a story from Rochester, NY where an Asian owner of a nail salon was able to set up a scam that allowed his customers to use their food stamps (our money!) to get their nails done.
Is this what the cabal behind the New American Economyis talking about when they proudly proclaim that immigrant-run businesses are propping up dying cities?
I have maintained for years that money might be flowing into dying cities when immigrants (aka NEW Americans) arrive largely because the money comes via Washington and federal programs set up to benefit the poor, but it isn’t new money! It is money from federal tax payers recycled to places like Utica, Buffalo or, as in this case, Rochester, NY. Continue reading “New Twist on Food Stamp Fraud: Redeem your Benefits at a Nail Salon”→
