Number of Victims of Texas Kenyan Killer Reaches 22, Additional Lawsuits Filed

“We made an assumption that it was safe. These ladies, these widows are the most vulnerable part of society. I feel like they were sitting ducks.”

(Cliff Harris, former Dallas Cowboy and son-in-law of one of the latest victims to be identified)

This is an update of my posts that extend back to May of last year when Kenyan Billy Chemirmir was arrested and charged with the murders of 12 vulnerable senior women mostly living in upscale retirement facilities in and around Dallas.

The number of victims is now at 22, and could still rise higher.

***Update*** Daniel Horowitz at Conservative Review does a deeper look into the fact that Chemirmir should never have been in the country and our sanctuary mentality is responsible for the deaths of these women just as much as Chemirmir is!

Alleged serial killer, Billy Chemirmir, is said to have arrived in the US two decades ago, overstayed a visa, and remained here after marrying an American. I have never seen any definitive information on his immigration status, but he had run-ins with the law and should have been removed from the country. https://www.standardmedia.co.ke/ureport/article/2001274445/kenyan-family-shocked-over-reports-that-their-son-killed-an-81-year-old-at-a-texas-elderly-home

Most of the women were allegedly smothered with a pillow apparently for their jewelry and other valuables.  The killing spree went on for years before the police unraveled the case and then only because one woman survived and was able to give a description of the African man who tried to kill her.

Charles Scudder, a reporter at the Dallas Morning News has been doing work that deserves a Pulitzer Prize for his dogged investigative work on a case that you know the mainstream media is failing to notice.

Here is Scudder’s latest report on two new deaths now linked to the Kenyan Killer.

This story should be on national news!  Where is CNN, MSNBC and Fox News?

New suits in Billy Chemirmir case identify two more alleged victims, offer new details

Two days before she died in March 2018, Miriam Nelson told staff at her Plano senior living complex that an intruder had been in her apartment.

Now, after police and prosecutors say she was smothered by serial murder suspect Billy Chemirmir, her family says that the complex where Nelson lived — Preston Place Retirement Community — should have done more to protect her.

Lawsuits filed in the 4th County Court at Law in Dallas on Tuesday by three families, including Nelson’s, detail what one of their attorneys, Trey Crawford, says is a pattern of “woefully deficient security measures” at Preston Place. The suits also provide greater insight into Chemirmir’s alleged actions as he visited North Texas senior living homes.

The suits list two new alleged victims who were not publicly linked to Chemirmir previously. One, who was not named in the suits, died Dec. 10, 2017, the documents state. The other is 93-year-old Mamie Dell Miya, who died Dec. 8, 2017.

Chemirmir has not been indicted in either death, but the suits include Plano police reports that state Miya’s death is a suspected capital murder case.

Miriam Nelson was the mother-in-law of former Dallas Cowboys Hall of Famer Cliff Harris.

Chemirmir is accused of murdering nearly two dozen elderly people, mostly women, throughout North Texas. Seven of the alleged slayings occurred at Preston Place.

In all, that makes 22 deaths that have been publicly linked to Chemirmir. It could make him one of Texas’ most prolific serial killers.

Among the family members wanting improved security at Preston Place and other senior living facilities is former Dallas Cowboys safety and 2020 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Cliff Harris, whose mother-in-law was Miriam Nelson.

[….]

According to the suits filed Tuesday, the daughter of another resident posted fliers warning residents about the intruder a few days after Nelson’s body was found. The flier noted that Preston Place had no black male maintenance employees and said that residents should call police if such a stranger came to their doors.

The suit claims that Preston Place management removed the fliers the next day.

“We made an assumption that it was safe,” Harris told The Dallas Morning News on Tuesday. “These ladies, these widows are the most vulnerable part of society. I feel like they were sitting ducks.

There is much more, read it all and forward to your social media lists.

I repeat! This story should be on national news!  Where is CNN, MSNBC and Fox News?

Please visit my December post where I told you about how some of the daughters of the Kenyan Killer’s victims have joined together to take action in hopes of avoiding the same dreadful fate that befell their mothers.

Texas: Their Mothers Were Murdered!

Texas: 20th Murder of a Senior Citizen Linked to the Kenyan Killer

The national media might be hiding when it comes to the serial killer case evolving in Texas, but the Dallas Morning News isn’t!

On Monday another victim was revealed by a reporter who is not letting the horrific story be swept under the rug.

Here is what investigative reporter Charles Scudder wrote:

Another family claims serial murder suspect Billy Chemirmir killed their loved one, the 20th in North Texas

Another family fears their mother was killed by Billy Chemirmir, the serial murder suspect who is accused of smothering older women before stealing jewelry and other items in Dallas and Collin counties.

Imagine the horror if this was your mother or beloved grandmother killed allegedly for a few rings.

Diane Delahunty, 79, died Dec. 3, 2017, at Preston Place Senior Living Apartments in Plano. At the time, though three rings were missing from her fingers, police told her family she had died of natural causes.

But the medical examiner changed her cause of death to “undetermined” in July, and her daughter, Lori Delahunty, said Monday police have told her Chemirmir killed her mother.

Her death is the 20th that has been linked publicly to Chemirmir. Two other women survived attacks in Frisco and Plano.

Chemirmir has been indicted on 12 counts of capital murder in Dallas and Collin counties, and two counts of attempted capital murder. Including Delahunty, eight more North Texas families have said police believe Chemirmir killed their loved ones.

There is much much more in this article (not behind a paywall), but I want you all to go read it and thus let the Dallas Morning News know that there are hundreds, hopefully thousands, of people all across the country following the case.

The article contains a great interactive timeline.  This is a screenshot of one date on the line.  You need to go to the article for the active version.

And, don’t miss this!  Station WFAA says the Kenyan Killer (of course they don’t call him that, I do) story is one of their top stories of the year:

This is a screenshot. You will have to open the link to see their report. https://www.wfaa.com/video/news/local/dallas-county/2019-in-review-billy-chemirmir/287-be1f35bd-7752-437d-a1f0-0e03c1f422ee

Why is the case being kept so hush-hush?

I think it is because the police and medical examiners may have really screwed-up by missing signs in early cases that might have saved many vulnerable seniors from a horrible death at the hands of a man who should not have been in the country in the first place.

See my previous post on the case, here.  In it I have linked all of my many posts on the case since it was made public in the spring.

Please help spread this story far and wide.

And, please keep a close eye on your loved ones that you think are safe in assisted living or nursing homes.

Texas: Their Mothers Were Murdered!

Imagine thinking that your elderly mother died of natural causes in a senior living facility where you thought she was safe and well-cared-for only to receive a call two years later from the police telling you she didn’t die peacefully, but was likely murdered by Billy Chemirmir, a man who should have been removed from the US years before!

This is an update on my series of posts about the man I simply call the Kenyan Killer.

And, this is a story the national news is not touching!

Imagine the pain of knowing that this is the last face your dear mother saw on this earth.

As we left off back in July the Kenyan Killer was behind bars in Texas awaiting trial for the murder of the last in a string of murders (more under investigation) that could make him the most prolific serial killer in Texas.

Why did these vulnerable senior women and one elderly gentleman die?  He wanted to steal their valuables, especially their jewelry.

Most were allegedly suffocated to death with a pillow.  He was a clever killer.

Reporter Charles Scudder at The Dallas Morning News has penned a two-part series on the case featuring some of the daughters who today suffer from enormous grief and anger over the deaths of their mothers—many of whom might not have died if the police and medical examiners had been sharp enough to see a pattern that might have emerged if, at least in some cases, the assisted living facilities had not been quick to assume death by natural causes.

The tip-off to some family members that something didn’t add-up was that their mothers’ jewelry was missing—one guardian angel necklace in particular.

The fabulous two-part series is behind a paywall.  It is an important paywall because it funds indepth journalism like this story.  Part 1 is here and Part II here

The two part series is entitled:

Guardians

Nearly two years after her mother died in a Dallas senior living apartment, Shannon Gleason Dion got a shocking call from a Plano
detective.

Her mother had likely been murdered, he told her, by a man who could be among the most prolific serial killers in Texas history.

Here is a bit of how reporter Scudder sets the scene in his opening paragraphs of Part II.  Shannon got that call:

Her 92-year-old mother, Doris Gleason, had died nearly two years earlier at The Tradition-Prestonwood, a luxury senior living facility in Far North Dallas. “Old age,” the death certificate had said.

No one could explain why jewelry was missing from the apartment. No one knew why Doris wasn’t wearing the guardian angel necklace she never took off. But Shannon had done her own sleuthing.

She’d learned that jewelry had been stolen from the apartments of other residents who had died.

Scudder’s story is riveting….

Wanting something good to come out of their suffering, five daughters have launched a new group!

SOSS stands for Secure our Senior’s Safety

And, this is what they say about their initiative:

Some of us are wives. Some of us are mothers and grandmothers. Some of us are sisters.

We were daughters.

Now we are friends. Joined together by a shared tragedy.

We lost our mothers to a knock on a door.

To repeat – a knock on a door. He shouldn’t have been able to walk down their hall and knock on their door.

We thought they were safe. We paid for oversight. We thought they were safe. They were not.

We are daughters who have lost their mothers. We are working so you don’t have to live our tragedy. We don’t want this to happen to another family.

Many of us have been in the situation of having to place a loved one in a care facility, and if you haven’t,  then you may very well be burdened with that decision in the future.

Where is the national news media?

Their story must get out nationally, please send to your social media networks and if you have any contacts with any national news outlet, please send it there too!

For more background, here below are my posts from earlier this year.  (I had a formatting problem, but the links work—click on the title!)

Margery Magill, International Agricultural Development Alumna, Passes Away Unexpectedly

Last night I wanted to see if there was anything new on the murder of Margery Magill.

She was the young woman stabbed to death by a stranger while walking a dog in Washington last week.

Magill
Margery Magill raised Seeing Eye puppies while in 4-H http://guidedogs.blogspot.com/2010/07/puppy-raising-youth-scholarship-winners.html

By all accounts Margery had a lot to give to the world as you can see by the death announcement at UC Davis where she had been an outstanding student.  My headline is their headline—-passes away unexpectedly!

No mention of how she passed away!

No mention of the creep who allegedly murdered her—a refugee from Ethiopia!  Is it because he was African? A refugee? Someone we ‘welcomed’ to America? Black while she was white?

Just like the Texas story about alleged mass murderer, Kenyan Billy Chemirmir, the politically correct powers that be will sweep the uncomfortable news from public view.

Maybe if their weapons weren’t pillows in Chemirmir’s case or knives in the brutal murder of Margery Magill, but they had used guns, the stories might live for a few additional days.

Another vulnerable American woman murdered, another African ‘new American,’ but weapon unknown…

I was checking my list of murders last night and in addition to Margery, we have the case still on-going in Noel, Missouri where law enforcement is searching for a Somali man for questioning in the murder of Jessica McCormack whose daughters he initially kidnapped.

He is apparently still on the loose.  Learn more about Jessica, here.

I’ll do my best to report any news on these cases going forward even as the national media moves on to what? Gun control? Hurricanes? Trump’s evil border polices!

So Why is No One Taking Notice of Another Texas Killer?

That is what Daniel Horowitz asked at Conservative Review yesterday.
And, I am sure most of you who have been following my posts on alleged serial killer, Billy Chemirmir were thinking the same thing as we are subjected to every day, all day, coverage of the El Paso Walmart shooting.
But, of course, here is why the same attention hasn’t been given to the Kenyan Killer—he killed (mostly) old white ladies and his weapon was a pillow.   That, and the fact that he is an African in the US illegally and if he had been deported when he had his first run-in with the law, 18 grandmothers and one grandfather would not have died such a frightening and horrible death.  (Imagine that face looming over you as a pillow was pressed to your nose!)
When investigations are complete, Chemirmir’s kill list will likely far surpass the number killed in that dreadful murder spree at the El Paso Walmart.
Will Presidential candidates be yapping that something must be done—ban pillows?

Kenyan chemirmir
Kenyan media is following the case of one of their own. https://fraudscrookscriminals.com/2019/05/22/texas-alleged-serial-killer-targeted-women-living-alone-family-in-kenya-hears-the-news/

Here is what Horowitz said (hat tip: Richard):

This criminal alien is accused of smothering 19 elderly victims to death. He should have been deported long ago

Nobody in the GOP Senate or the White House is taking notice of what might be the worst and most heinous criminal alien crime committed in American history. We must discuss closing the multiple criminal alien loopholes that violate laws duly passed Congress.
At least 19 Texans were allegedly killed by someone who should never have been in the country, who had been in jail for other crimes and should have been deported.
What if I told you that if we merely enforced and tightened existing laws, unvetted foreign nationals like this would never be able to commit subsequent crimes? “Do something!!,” you would say, right?
Well, not a single major elected official is even talking about this case, much less calling for emergency congressional action to deal with the loopholes. And unlike with El Paso, this crime was actually 100 percent avoidable through public policy, and the course of action would not implicate a fundamental right. After all, there is no right to immigrate, as there is a right for Americans to bear arms.
Billy Chemirmir, like many people who gamed out our immigration system, came to the United States on a tourist visa in 2003, only to indefinitely overstay his visa, according to Breitbart.com’s John Binder. That should have rendered him an illegal alien, and had our government fulfilled its promise in 1996 to construct a visa tracking exit-entry system, as later recommended by the 9/11 Commission, he would have been out of the country. Not only was he not deported, he wound up using a loophole to get a green card in 2007 by marrying an American citizen, according to Binder’s sources. He then racked up a significant criminal history, including two DWIs in 2011 and an assault on a girlfriend resulting in bodily injury in 2012.

Screenshot (1066)
Horowitz prepared a nice timeline of what we know so far about Chemirmir’s run-ins with the law and his killing spree.  But, I bet we will find he began killing before 2016 (assuming Texas authorities do their jobs this time!).

Yet this criminal from another country, whose presence here was originally illegal and who should have been deported, continued to remain in the country.
That brings us to the present. Chemirmir is now charged with the murder of 12 senior citizens whom he is alleged to have killed by smothering them with pillows over the course of three years – 2016-2018 – long after he should have been deported.

Much more here.
I’m very grateful to Daniel Horowitz for helping to spread the word about a horrific case being purposefully ignored by the media and by elected officials of all stripes!

Justice for the vulnerable!
Help keep the horrible case of the Kenyan Killer alive. Send the Conservative Review story out far and wide.
The Chemirmir case is emblematic of everything wrong with our immigration system, with lax law enforcement, and with media bias.
