Bail Denied in Professor on Professor Attack in Massachusetts

Another story the national media is avoiding like the plague!

Why? My guess is that because it involves a ‘new American’ committing crimes against Americans (on a lesser scale of course than our Kenyan Killer) and that is not a good look for the Lefties running the media in Donald Trump’s America.

This is an update of that very weird news we reported here and here about the December attack on a female Mt. Holyoke professor by a fellow female Mt. Holyoke professor who attempted to kill her colleague in a case of (supposedly) unrequited love.

Here is the latest news from a couple of weeks ago at the Daily Hampshire Gazette about the strange event at the elite (“inclusive”!) Mt. Holyoke. Thanks to reader Cathy for finding it.

Mount Holyoke professor accused of assault denied bail

GREENFIELD — Judge Mark D. Mason on Wednesday morning withheld the right to bail of a Mount Holyoke College professor accused of using a rock, fire poker and garden shears to attack a colleague in the alleged victim’s home late last year.

Rie Hachiyanagi, 48, of South Hadley, pleaded not guilty in Franklin County Superior Court last week to three counts of armed assault to murder a person age 60 or older, three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person age 60 or older, and single counts of mayhem, home invasion and entering a dwelling at night for a felony.

According to a report from Massachusetts State Trooper Geraldine L. Bresnahan, the alleged victim told police Hachiyanagi arrived at her Leverett home unannounced late at night on Dec. 23 and said she “wanted to talk about her feelings.” After being invited inside, Hachiyanagi allegedly attacked the victim, striking her with multiple implements including “fists, rocks, garden clippers and a fire poker.” All objects were recovered by investigators.

The alleged victim, who was present with supporters in court Wednesday, told authorities she believed Hachiyanagi was going to kill her. According to the report, when the victim asked why Hachiyanagi was attacking her, the assailant allegedly said “that she loved her for many years and (she) should have known.” Bresnahan’s report also states the victim convinced Hachiyanagi to stop the attack and call 911 by “playing along” and lying about having reciprocating feelings.

UK Daily Mail Reports on Texas Kenyan Killer Case; Most US Media Continue Blackout

Last Wednesday I reported the latest news in the dreadful serial killer case in Texas where Kenyan Billy Chemirmir is now charged in 14 murders of vulnerable senior women and where another 8 indictments could soon follow (possibly more as the investigation (we hope) is continuing).

I have noticed that whenever the US mainstream media is chicken to report news that they know is explosive involving a ‘new American’ who wasn’t here for a better life, but is here to commit heinous crimes, the UK Daily Mail steps into the breach.

You can read the Daily Mail story yourself. I’m not sure where they get the 1000 number.

And, I don’t know why they reference Nigeria in the summary, but do mention his Kenyan roots in the story itself.

The story prompted me to have a look this morning to see which major news outlets in the US have even mentioned the story that first broke in May 2019.

There couldn’t be a more appropriately titled or timely book than this one about Minnesota Rep. Ilhan Omar.

Ohio Somalis Charged in $10 Million Food Stamp Fraud Bust

I haven’t seen a substantial food stamp fraud bust in awhile. Glad to see that the feds are still going after the ‘new American’ entrepreneurs Michael Bloomberg is always touting.

Feds charge Columbus market owners with food stamp fraud totaling more than $10 million

COLUMBUS (WCMH) — The former owners of a Somali specialty market have been charged with food stamp fraud.

A federal grand jury has charged Hassan and Abdurahim Nuriso, former owners of Towfiq Market on Sullivant Avenue, with conspiring fraudulently to redeem more than $10 million in SNAP and WIC benefits between 2010 and 2019.

“It’s very clear in all the regulations what you can and can’t do,” said Asst. U.S. Attorney David Bosley. “You can’t give food stamps for cash, you can’t buy items that are not allowed under the food stamp program, you can’t buy things that aren’t food, and you can’t give credit.”

As part of the alleged conspiracy, the Nuriso brothers are accused of converting illegally obtained food stamp benefits, WIC coupons, and WIC electronic benefits into money, in order to use the money for other purposes.

The five-count indictment also alleges the Nuriso’s allowed SNAP and WIC beneficiaries to purchase items that were not redeemable through the food stamp or WIC programs.

This is hilarious! So the SNAP benefit card is just like a bank card?

Yahya Mohammed owns a barbershop in the same west side plaza. He says Abdurahim Noriso was well-intentioned.

“I know it’s wrong, but he’s really just helping his community out,” Mohammed said. “People are just trying to survive. They get food stamps, but they can’t buy a lot of things with food stamps.”

If you followed this case to its conclusion, I assure you the pair will get very little prison time, maybe will be ordered to pay some of the money back to the taxpayers, but will never be deported.

I’ve followed food stamp fraud stories for over ten years, first at Refugee Resettlement Watch and now here at ‘Frauds and Crooks.’ The number of busts seem to have slowed. Maybe some ‘new American’ wannabe fraudsters are getting the message. Who knows.

UK Daily Mail: Former Refugee and US Rep. Ilhan Omar Committed Immigration Fraud

Surely you know that this news, about Ilhan Omar, has been percolating for years and that Minnesota media has helped bury the sordid tale.

Now comes a blockbuster story from the UK Daily Mail reporting on pretty overwhelming evidence, plus a first hand account from a former friend of the controversial Congresswoman and member of the so-called “Squad,” that there must be an investigation launched to get to the truth.

Although the Daily Mail is leading the international news on the story, it was a Minnesota blog, Power Line, which deserves the credit for doggedly digging through the evidence readily available in Minnesota.

As of this morning [Feb 21], I can’t find a story in the Minnesota media that follows up on the Daily Mail’s report that Rep. Ilhan Omar married her brother in 2009 for fraudulent purposes. It’s not breaking news. We — Preya Samsundar, David Steinberg, and I — have been telling the story over the past three and a half years. The underlying story is Omar’s reign of terror seeking to suppress the story. The reign of terror extended beyond the Somali community to scoop up David Steinberg in Omar enforcer Guhaad Hashi’s terroristic threats last month. I reported on those threats here.

By the way, it is my belief that there is possibly additional immigration fraud that was perpetrated on America when she and her family were first admitted as refugees.

The entire family reunification program from Somalia was halted for years beginning in 2008 when the US State Department found widespread fraud with Somalis lying about who was family and who wasn’t.
