I don’t know if you can call him an Ohio man (or a Michigan man either), looks like another ‘New American’ doctor taking advantage of women and America!
This sicko is in big trouble! Complaint filed with the medical board said he “had been drugging and raping women for years.”
Is he one of those immigrant entrepreneurs that Michael Bloomberg’s New American Economyis always raving about?
Here (below) is the sanitized Fox News version of the story involving Dr. Manish Gupta and the charges against him. (I am assuming he is of Indian origin.)
And if you want the R-rated story (this comes with a warning) see it at ClickonDetroit.
Ohio plastic surgeon charged with drugging, raping women on camera
A plastic surgeon primarily based in Ohio was arrested Friday by the FBI for allegedly drugging multiple women to the point of unconsciousness and raping them on camera.
Dr. Manish Gupta, 49, is charged with illegally dispensing controlled substances, aggravated sexual abuse and sex trafficking, Toledo’s WTVG reported. He was booked into Lucas County Corrections Center in Toledo Friday afternoon after a federal search warrant on his phone, residence, personal vehicle and two offices in Lucas County uncovered sex toys, camera equipment, SD cards and vials of Diazepam and Ketamine, which are controlled substances not used in his medical practice, according to WTVG.
While visiting Los Angeles in 2016 to attend a plastic surgery convention, Gupta allegedly arranged for sex with a high-end escort, drugged her to the point of unconsciousness and raped her, according to a court filing in the U.S. District Court in Toledo.
The woman did not file a police report at the time. She took an at-home drug test that showed she had signs of benzodiazepine, a type of medication known as a tranquilizer, in her system, Toledo’s WTOL reported, citing the court filing. She later visited the Rape Treatment Center at the UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, where she had a rape kit exam performed, WTVG reported.
The woman researched Gupta in an online database used by sex workers to make others aware of possibly dangerous individuals, according to the filing. She said she found multiple other women had reported a man either matching Gupta’s name or description, claiming he drugged, raped and possibly recorded them without their consent, WTOL reported.
Gupta is a board-certified plastic surgeon and medical doctor licensed in both Ohio and Michigan. He owns Artisan Cosmetic Surgery, which has two offices in Ohio and one in Michigan, WTVG reported.
The FBI launched an investigation into the claims against Gupta in January 2019. The investigation revealed that in 2014, an employee working for Gupta found multiple SDs with videos showing the plastic surgeon performing sex acts on motionless women who appeared to be unconscious. In February of this year, the State of Ohio Medical Board received a complaint claiming Gupta had been drugging and raping women for years.
BTW, I found a photo on line of Gupta and his female staffers although his social media accounts have been removed from on-line. I was going to post the photo, but chose not to because when you read more about the case you will see that some of his staff participated in bringing him to justice. I wouldn’t want there to be any reprisals against them.
I have dozens and dozens of posts at Refugee Resettlement Watch about the transformation of Lewiston, Mainethat has occurred over a few decades as Somali refugees have ‘found their way’ to the Maine city.
I also have a couple of poststhere that mention Safiya Khalid who won a seat on the Lewiston city council last fall to cheers from the Council on American Islamic Relations.
But, I missed the back story on how the twenty-something Somali won that seat as the darling of the local Democrat party, that is until I had an e-mail from a resident of the city who told me this horrifying tale.
This could happen to your town too!
Here is a bit of the e-mail to me from Mainer Maura Murphy:
As a resident of Lewiston, Maine who lived abroad for almost 30 years then came back to my hometown, I was horrified to see the decline and degradation. Part of it was post-industrial malaise and consequent multi-generational poverty for sure; part of it was the thriving drug trade started by dealers from other states who found central Maine’s drug capital to be an easy place to do what they could no longer get away with to the same degree in NY, MA, PA, D.C., etc.; and part of it was the abysmal way the addition of thousands of refugees and asylum seekers has been handled.
After returning to Lewiston several years ago, I was shocked to hear firsthand account after firsthand account of violence, theft, destruction of property, etc. committed by roving gangs of immigrant boys, gang bullying episodes–swept under the carpet by administrations–in all pubic schools to the point that parents have taken their kids out of schools, and much more.
I would not have believed it had I not heard directly from people who had experienced these episodes, including teacher friends who *quit* due to the double standard of permissiveness for immigrant students and other friends who have had rocks or chunks of ice thrown at their cars when driving through downtown.
Donald Guisti’s murder by a gang of refugee/asylum seeker youth–and the unbelievable way the investigation was mishandled–was not only the culmination of simmering violence committed by immigrants, but opened the way for a new wave of immigrant entitlement and bitter resentment of the community they supposedly came to to escape the brutality of their home countries.
You may have read about a Somali immigrant, Safiya Khalid, running for city council in Lewiston? While numerous media reports celebrated her victory, they declined to mention that her campaign had ruthlessly bullied her opponent under cover of darkness at his own home, in an effort to intimidate him into withdrawing from the race.
Even though there are *audio tapes* of the harassment, Khalid’s campaign *got away with it*, thanks to extensive media manipulation and a smear campaign to try to transform outcry against the bullying into an act of “racism”.
The bullies, and Safiya herself, were and still are the top officers of the Lewiston Democratic Party, as well as local elected officials. When I found out about this bullying, my first action was to ask the victim–who was then in the hospital–if it was true. He told me it was, and gave me the recordings. When I raised the alarm to my fellow local Democrats and Khalid herself–giving them the benefit of the doubt that they didn’t know–they personally attacked *me* for telling them. This is when I knew there was a wider campaign to be sure Khalid was elected at any cost, and a friend and I did our own investigation.
I wrote the article below initially to let people know that Walter “Ed” Hill was indeed running for Ward One Representative, and to alert them to what had happened.
“I Was Afraid They Were Going to Break Down My Door.” (Walter Hill)
On the evening of August 28th, 2019, longtime community volunteer and public servant Walter Hill made his way back to his suburban Lewiston home after having had hip surgery. A few blocks away from his house, he noted the familiar figures of Lewiston Democratic Party Chair, Kiernan Majerus-Collins, and his opponent in the upcoming election for Ward One City Council, Safiya Khalid, who served as party Vice Chair. Because Hill’s close-knit neighborhood was isolated — not a place where people usually spent time unless they lived there — their frequent presence canvassing there had been noticeable for some time.
Members of the Lewiston Democratic Party: Alicia Rea, Christopher Hodgkins, Owen Cardwell-Copenhefer, Jared Golden, Kiernan Majerus-Collins, Safiya Khalid and Jim Lysen
As much as Hill was looking forward to campaigning himself, he was completely spent from his medical procedure, and just wanted to get back to the place he had called home for more than 25 years. “I really wanted to get out there and let people know I was running and have conversations about Lewiston, but I literally couldn’t move,” said Hill. “The timing just couldn’t have been worse.”
As a new wave of pain swept over Hill upon arrival at home, he took his medication, settled in as comfortably as possible on the couch and fell asleep. About 20 minutes after returning, he was jolted out of a deep sleep by the sound of pounding at his door. It got louder. He realized there was more than one person on his property. The banging and kicking got louder, and was coming from multiple directions. Both doorbells were ringing. Under cover of darkness, Hill’s house had been surrounded and was being relentlessly pummeled.
From his position on the couch and in a daze, Hill recognized the voices of two people, both officials in the Democratic Party holding multiple local and county leadership positions, Kiernan Majerus-Collins and Owen Cardwell-Copenhefer.

Paul Bedard writing a few days ago at the Washington Examiner reported that the Trump Administration’s policy known as Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP)has allowed the DHS to force foreign nationals claiming they want asylum to wait on the Mexican side of the border, but that won’t last if the ACLU gets its way.
And, so far, they are making legal headway in thwarting the President’s efforts to keep Americans safe.
328 Chinese nationals caught entering US illegally
At least 328 Chinese nationals trying to enter the United States illegally since January have been intercepted by U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials as part of heightened awareness on the borders to block the coronavirus from slipping into the nation.
Officials told Secrets Wednesday that since January, 328 Chinese were “apprehended” and sent back across the border or repatriated consistent with existing policy and procedure. Another three from South Korea, where the virus is also spreading, were also caught.
Some 227 foreign nationals from other nations who tried to enter through legal border points from Feb. 2 through March 3 have been turned away due to the travel restriction ordered by the president and implemented by the Department of Homeland Security, officials said.
[….]
Senior administration officials said that the president’s three-year focus on the border, the new wall, and the policy of keeping illegal immigrants in Mexico while awaiting permission to enter the U.S., have gone a long way to keep the virus away, especially at the southern border.
But acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf on Tuesday raised concerns about a court challenge to the Migrant Protection Protocols policy of keeping migrants in Mexico, where the coronavirus has also landed.
“MPP has an uncertain future. We know from experience that the journey to the U.S. border puts migrants in poor conditions — and they often arrive with no passports, medical histories, or travel manifests. The administration will continue to closely monitor the virus globally, as well as in our hemisphere, and will adjust our proactive measures as necessary,” he said.
Added a senior administration official:
“We have a unique public health threat posed by individuals arriving unlawfully at the border. Any halting of MPP would exacerbate that threat.”
Who cares says the ACLU!
[Court:] “the MPP is causing extreme and irreversible harm to plaintiffs” (to the Chinese trying to get into the US).
Court Blocks Trump’s ‘Remain In Mexico’ Policy Along Part Of The Border
A federal appeals court has decided to block the Trump administration’s “Remain in Mexico” plan in two states along the U.S. border, following back-and-forth rulings over the program.
In its order late Wednesday, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco said that next week the administration will have to stop making asylum-seekers wait in Mexico for the U.S. to process their claims, but that the court ban applies only to areas in its jurisdiction, Arizona and California.
The decision comes less than a week after the appeals court briefly blocked the program, then quickly suspended that order.
On Wednesday, the court said it remains “very clear” that a lower court was correct in ruling that the Trump administration program — technically called the Migrant Protection Protocols, or MPP — may violate the law. “It is equally clear,” the court added, “that the MPP is causing extreme and irreversible harm to plaintiffs,” many of whom are asylum-seekers themselves.
Read about the twists and turns of the case in the court system. Then see here what the ACLU says.
“If the administration had any respect for the law or any sense of decency, it would end this program immediately,”Judy Rabinovitz, special counsel in the ACLU’s Immigrants’ Rights Project, which has challenged the program, said in a statement released after the court order.
“We will continue working to permanently end this illegal and inhumane policy.”
The Tahirih Justice Center, another nonprofit group fighting the policy, expressed frustration at the limited scope of the court’s injunction.

AG Bill Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray announced this week that an unprecedented number of cases of fraud against senior Americans have been charged or prosecuted and announced a hotline where you can report suspected fraud and help them catch more of the crooks, often foreign crooks, stealing from older Americans.
From CBS News (good for them because I have seen very little elsewhere about this story from Tuesday):
Barr announces more than 400 charged for defrauding seniors over past year
Washington — More than 400 people have been charged with defrauding seniors out of more than $1 billion over the past year, the Justice Department revealed Tuesday. Attorney General William Barr announced the charges in Tampa on Tuesday at the Sun City Center Community Hall for seniors.
Barr explained why this issue has personal meaning for him. “I myself was used as a lure in a scam,” the attorney general told retirees. Before he became the nation’s 85th attorney general, the 1991 official photograph of Barr from his first stint in in the job in George H.W. Bush’s administration was used by scammers offering phony federal grants in exchange for money. “It was really heart-wrenching. People called in desperate hope that this was real,” Barr explained. “That crystalized the issue for me, and when I got to the department I wanted to make sure that this was one of our highest priorities to go after this.”
Barr has made elder fraud one of his top priorities as attorney general, and Tuesday’s announcement nearly doubles last year’s prosecutions.
Every U.S. attorney’s office across the country participated in either prosecuting or conducting proactive community outreach as part of the department’s sweep.
[….]
Scams targeting the elderly are usually foreign-based, like the “Nigerian prince” scheme or robocalls involving the impersonation of a U.S. government official who demands money from targets.
“The charges announced today demonstrate the great success of the Transnational Elder Fraud Strike Forceto identify and stop those who are targeting our senior communities from overseas,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray in a statement. “We’re committed to continuing our efforts to keep our elderly citizens safe, whether they’re being targeted door-to-door, over the phone, or online.”
And, see theFBI Press Releaseon the announcement which includes a link to an interactive US map so you can see where some of the 400 cases are being prosecuted.
As I have said on innumerable occasions the President should be highlighting this fraud-busting work of his Justice Department, like this Transnational Elder Fraud Strike Force, at every one of his rallies.

This is an update of a story we have followed from its outset when a gang of African ‘new American’ teens attacked some white Lewiston, Maine residents at a local park in June 2018.
Donald G. Giusti
The gang attack resulted in thedeath of Don Giusti. It took months for authorities, who viewed videos of the fight, to determine just which local immigrant teens were responsible and who exactly threw the projectile that resulted in Giusti’s death.
Now we see that Emmanuel Nkurunziza, who has been charged, is free to go to school and now wants his ankle monitor removed, that despite the fact that he has on several occasions failed to show up for meetings with his court-designated supervisor.
Bail in question for teen charged in Lewiston slaying
AUBURN — Prosecutors are seeking to have bail revoked for a former Lewiston man charged with manslaughter in the 2018 death of 38-year-old Donald Giusti near Kennedy Park in Lewiston.
My guess is that Emmanuel Nkurunziza, 18, is a flight risk. No ethnicity is reported, but he is very likely from a refugee family placed in Maine in recent years and may have family members still in Africa.
Meanwhile, lawyers for Emmanuel Nkurunziza, 18, of Biddeford are hoping to persuade a judge that his bail conditions are too restrictive and should be loosened.
A bail hearing is scheduled for next week in Augusta.
While awaiting trial, Nkurunziza was allowed by a judge to move from Lewiston to Biddeford to live with his parents and attend the public school there. He was ordered in September to wear an electronic ankle bracelet monitor and be supervised by Maine Pretrial Services.
According to court papers, a case manager for that organization wrote that Nkurunziza had failed to report to his supervisor’s office three times since September, most recently on Jan. 7.The terms of his agreement dictate that he report to his supervisor’s office every Tuesday between 3:20 and 3:45 p.m. or as directed.
Last month, he emailed his supervisor roughly an hour after he was due to report to her office to tell her he had forgotten to check in at the designated time and asked whether he could check in the next day instead, a case manager wrote in an affidavit. According to that document, Nkurunziza also had failed to report to his supervisor on Nov. 26, and Oct. 9 last year.
Cry me a river!
Nkurunziza filed a motion seeking to allow him more flexibility in coordinating his reporting to his supervisor with his school schedule.
He also is hoping that the judge will lift the electronic monitoring requirement to better accommodate Nkurunziza’s school schedule that makes it difficult to keep the device charged. The conspicuous device also has made it difficult for him to apply for jobs, his lawyers have argued. [Imagine that!—ed]
Lewiston, Maine has been embroiled in controversy ever since the Somali migration to Maine (generous welfare!) began almost two decades ago. I have alarge archive on the city at RRW.
