From reports earlier in the week it looks like the 30-something Miles Taylor is the leader of the breakaway group that includes many of the Never-Trumpers involved in the disgraced Lincoln Project.
Here is their press release from yesterday. Seems they have backed off from earlier declarations that they were going to announce the formation of their own party—darn!
Instead they plan to bully the GOP for awhile and if that doesn’t work, then they will think about a new party.
Looks like the plan is a redux of pot shots from the wings using the Lincoln Project model.
Keep in mind that likely most of these “prominent Republicans” voted for Joe Biden (many have admitted doing so).

When people mention to me that they are looking for country property there is another major consideration. You must find out if the federal government adjoins your prospective property.
I found that out the hard way in the late 1980s, but it’s been quiet lately. Ryan Girdusky: Lincoln Project Is Part Grift, Part Grooming Operation for John Weaver
“The Lincoln Project has always been just two things: a grift for people to make money and a grooming organization for John Weaver to meet young men to try to get them in bed,” said Ryan Girdusky, journalist and author of They’re Not Listening: How The Elites Created the National Populist Revolution, on Tuesday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow.
Girdusky broke the news that John Weaver, a co-founder of the Lincoln Project, allegedly sought sexual contact with young men in exchange for jobs in politics.
Girdusky began investigating accusations of Weaver’s sexual solicitations from young men after being followed by Weaver on Twitter.
“Within a day [of Weaver following me on Twitter], young men started coming forward and saying to me that I should be on the lookout,” Girdusky stated.
“They said, ‘This is what John Weaver does. He reached out to young men like me and he says I can give you a job opportunity if you promise me sex in the end.’ It’s three young guys who reached out to me very early on.”
Girdusky added, “I was trying to find out how many people possibly know about John Weaver, and it became very abundantly clear very early on that everyone knew. If you worked politics, there was no way you did not know about John Weaver and his actions towards young men, preying on young men.”
Republican strategist and political pundit Karl Rove saidon Monday that he knew of Weaver’s “pattern of behavior” since 1988.
So Karl Rove knew in 1988 that a top Republican strategist was using his position to seduce young men and never outed him?
The Lincoln Project raised over $87 million since its launch at the end of 2019.
One person enjoying a little schadenfreude today is Sarah Palin who knew all the rats surrounding RepublicanJohn McCain.
Endnote: I got my first appeal for money from the Republican Party yesterday and I am happily returning a note to them in their prepaid envelope, sans money of course!
I no longer care about the argument about siphoning votes from the establishment Republicans and thus allowing the Dems to win everything.

President Trump has talked in recent days with associates about forming a new political party, according to people familiar with the matter, an effort to exert continued influence after he leaves the White House.
Mr. Trump discussed the matter with several aides and other people close to him last week, the people said. The president said he would want to call the new party the “Patriot Party,” the people said.
Mr. Trump has feuded in recent days with several Republican leaders including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.), who on Tuesday said Mr. Trump deserved blame for provoking the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol. Polls show Mr. Trump retains strong support among rank-and-file GOP voters.

Third parties have typically failed to draw enough support to play a major role in national elections. Any effort to start a new party would likely face intense opposition from Republican party officials, who would chafe at the thought of Mr. Trump peeling off support from GOP candidates. [That is what they always say to keep us in line.—ed]
“Chafe!” They would be raging because frankly the Trump base (which he expanded!) is the base of the Republican Party.
A Trump-led party will kill the Republican Party and I am ready for that! Are you?
The next time you get a fund raising letter from the RNC, or any Republican fundraising campaign for a candidate who turned on us, use the prepaid envelope and drop in one of these.
But, don’t ask to be removed from their list, just do it every time they send you an appeal for money. Add a note if you feel inspired.

For those of you who were shocked, dismayed, stunned, depressed yesterday when you began hearing about what was in a bill passed by both Houses of Congress that was supposedly a COVID relief package, you got some solace later in the evening when President Trump went before the American people to say he would not sign the bill in its present form.
He stopped short of using the word “veto,” but said he won’t sign this monstrosity.
By the way, only six brave Republican Senators voted against the 5,000 plus page bill that NO one has read:

The $900bn bill includes one-off $600 payments to most Americans, but Mr Trump said the figure should be $2,000.

The president questioned why the Kennedy Center, a performing arts complex in Washington DC, was set to receive $40m when it is not open, and more than $1bn has been allocated to museums and galleries in the capital. [Which are also mostly not open!—ed]
The President has nothing to lose now if he vetoes the monster that will put the US in even greater debt (to China?) for generations to come. It will reaffirm his strong leadership that will be needed for the years ahead.
Yeah, they can override his veto, but then we will all know who puts Americans First and who puts us last. After all, the midterm elections are not far off.
