Nightmare!
Imagine settling your mother into a senior living facility and learning that she was murdered for her jewelry by an African man who was living here illegally.
Some families are now suing the facilities! But, first the news about what is happening in a case that could become one of the largest serial murder cases in Texas history.
By the way, at least the AP story mentions in its headline Billy Chemirmir’s immigration status while other news accounts call him a “Texas resident.”

New American from Kenya Convicted in Medicaid Fraud Scheme
Editor: I have a huge backlog of stories to post here at Frauds and Crooks and hope to do a news round-up post to catch up in the coming days. A reader recently suggested that I should consider just sending out straight news without my editorial comment. I think I’ll try to do a little bit of both going forward and the news round-up will help with that by giving you more information with less words!
However, this story from Massachusetts caught my eye for a couple of reasons and is worth posting in greater detail.
It might not have been worth posting at all if it weren’t for the revelation that the convicted home health care provider was able to send $1.5 million of ill-gotten gains out of the country just before her arrest.
And, the story is important because home health care ‘businesses’ are rife with fraud and keep turning up in my searches for medicare and medicaid scam stories.

A Refugee Issue to Watch! Somalis Staying Put in Kenya, Wait for Resettlement
As I mentioned last month, the Kenyan government wants the United Nations to close the massive camp—Dadaab—soon!
The UN is between a rock and a hard place after trying and failing to get large numbers of Somalis to go home to an increasingly stable country (well, stable for Somalia!), while Europe and the US have wearied of moving Somalis to the West.
As you know President Trump has nearly stopped the resettlement of Somalis to your towns and cities (a few are still trickling in!).
If Trump is no longer in office come January 2021, you know a future Democrat President will open the Somali spigot wide to make up for the ‘Trump lost years.’
So keep an eye on Kenya!

Shock! Fraud and Corruption Rampant in UN Refugee Resettlement Program
And, an even bigger shock is that NBC is featuring this lengthy investigation into charges of corruption, fraud and bribery in the agency that selects refugees for your American towns and cities.
Featured in what is billed as a first installment of a seven-month-long investigation is Africa and specifically Somali resettlement from the huge camp, Dadaab, run by the UNHCR, that I mentioned in a post here recently.
It is a huge story both in impact and in its length, so I’ve snipped a bit here for you to get the gist of it.
Money, and lots of money, helps ‘refugees’ move to the head of the line and in this opening segment we learn that a likely crook is living in Minnesota (I know don’t laugh!).

Alert: Kenya to Close One of the Largest Refugee Camps in the World
That would be Dadaab—home to hundreds of thousands of Somalis and a place where the US government has gone to select Somalis to bring to America.
Although, under President Trump very few Somalis are getting into the US these days, this is a story worth watching because you know that the United Nations will be pressuring our State Department to up the Somali numbers using the closing of a significant camp as the excuse.
If Trump doesn’t win reelection in 2020 the trickle could be a flood from Dadaab to your town.
The Kenyan government has long maintained that the camp is a breeding ground for Islamic extremists and it points to recent terror attacks in Kenya linked to Dadaab residents.
