Are You Writing a Blog Where You Live?

Two weeks in to this new blog—Frauds, Crooks and Criminals—I’m reminded of all the great work many of you do researching issues where you live, national issues too!
But, are you getting that important information out on a local or state website? If not, why not!
You know that information is power, right! However, it has little value if it doesn’t reach outside your front door or go much farther than your facebook friends’ computers.

Believe me, it is not rocket science to set up a wordpress website, or some other hosting site. I do think facebook is a good way to get your research/ideas out more widely, but facebook has limitations and will increasingly give you problems.
And, besides, on facebook, I don’t think there is any way to categorize and make available the information you have unearthed for someone to find months or years later (correct me if I am wrong).
Which brings me to the issue of comments here at Frauds and Crooks. Believe me! Most people will not read comments longer than my original posts! Heck, I hardly have time to read them! (See my comment on commenting under the header.)
Budding investigators! Please, please, please, set up a website/blog of your own!
Give your blog a theme, it could be on the vast issue of immigration (obviously my passion), or focus on your geographic location. Write a blog about what is going on in your city or state (LOL! compete with your Left leaning local paper that won’t even publish your Letters to the Editor!).
Plug away at it a little bit every day and you will be surprised at the body of information you will have compiled in a few short months.

The speech police will have a much harder time silencing us if all of you are writing!

Child Brides! When Legal Immigration Must be Fixed

Did you know that our LEGAL immigration system allows children, mostly girls, to be exploited through a form of immigration that allows old men to import child brides?
And, it allows children in the US to bring in ‘husbands’ much older than themselves.
Frankly, I don’t see any defense for this flaw in our immigration system, and it seems it could easily be fixed through administrative action immediately, and ultimately by Congress when those do-nothings get around to doing something.
From the AP (emphasis is mine):

WASHINGTON — Thousands of requests by men to bring in child and adolescent brides to live in the United States were approved over the past decade, according to government data obtained by The Associated Press.
In one case, a 49-year-old man applied for admission for a 15-year-old girl.
The approvals are legal: The Immigration and Nationality Act does not set minimum age requirements. And in weighing petitions for spouses or fiancees, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services goes by whether the marriage is legal in the home country and then whether the marriage would be legal in the state where the petitioner lives. [What the heck! Why should we consider the legality of the arrangement in their home country! Whiff of creeping sharia here?—ed]

There were more than 5,000 cases of adults petitioning on behalf of minors and nearly 3,000 examples of minors seeking to bring in older spouses or fiances, according to the data requested by the Senate Homeland Security Committee in 2017 and compiled into a report.
Some victims of forced marriage say the lure of a U.S. passport combined with lax U.S. marriage laws are partly fueling the petitions.

The data was requested in 2017 by Johnson and then-Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill, the committee’s top Democrat. Johnson said it took a year to get the information, showing there needs to be a better system to track and vet the petitions.
“Our immigration system may unintentionally shield the abuse of women and children,” the senators said in the letter.

The head of USCIS, L. Francis Cissna, said in a letter to the committee that its request had raised questions and discussion within the agency on what it can do to prevent forced minor marriages.
The agency noticed some issues in how the data was collected and has resolved them. Officials also created a flagging system that requires verification of the birthdate whenever a minor is detected.
The country where most requests came from was Mexico, followed by Pakistan, Jordan, the Dominican Republic and Yemen. Middle Eastern nationals had the highest percentage of overall approved petitions.

Remittances: The "R" Word No One Talks About

The next time you see a gushing news story where you live about how “new Americans” are causing your city’s economy to blossom, check the study and see if the “Welcoming” gang has factored in the amount of money LEAVING your community!

Remittances are the dollars, US dollars, leaving the US economy and are the primary reason countries like Mexico, El Salvador, India, countries in Africa (e.g. Somalia!) and so forth want their migrants to get to the US where they can find employment and welfare (and fraud/crime) in order to send money back ‘home.’
I’ll bet you will never find any figure in any glowing economic study written by the likes of Welcoming America and the New American Economy globalists that shows how much money is leaving your city or state for a foreign country.
The Federation for American Immigration Reform and other immigration restriction groups see those huge outflows as a source of funding for border security and the wall.
From FAIR’s Bob Dane,

Legal and illegal migrants sent $53.4 billion in remittances back to Mexico and Central America in 2018. That’s $53.4 billion – with a “B” – and more than double the projected cost of building a border barrier.
Remittances to Mexico alone reached $33.7 billion in 2018, up 21 percent from roughly $27.8 billion in 2016, the World Bank reported.
Remittances to Central America are spiking with a growing inflow of asylum seekers benefiting from U.S. catch-and-release laws. Wire transfers to Central America hit $19.7 billion last year, up from $15.8 billion in 2016. The southbound windfall includes payments to human-trafficking cartels.
With an estimated 83 percent of Mexicans who enter the U.S. illegally sending money home, a surcharge on remittances is one sure way for President Trump to make good on his promise to make Mexico pay for the wall.

For a few cents on the dollar it wouldn’t take long for Mexico to pay for the wall! Dane continues,

At the current (and rising) rate of remittances, a nominal 2 percent surcharge on Mexico-bound funds would raise $674 million for a border wall in the first year. Slap a fee on all foreign remittances — $150 billion last year — and the 2,000-mile barrier is fully paid off within eight years.

See the World Bank study. There is big money for global banks in this migration business, while those billions leaving the US are no longer available for circulation in your local economy!
Looking for something to do?

The next time you see any mention in local news about how your city is booming because of “new Americans,” call the reporter, ask him/her for the study the news is based upon and look to see if any mention is made of money leaving your city or state for a third world country. If it’s not there, write a letter to the editor to tell the public that the study is bogus.

And, hey, I will bet there is no mention of costs for the criminal justice system in the glowing economic report either. There might not even be the costs for your local school system!

Is Obama's Task Force on New Americans still a working plan?

A reader just reminded me of Obama’s propaganda initiative to plant the idea that refugees and immigrants bring the joys of diversity and economic good times to cities welcoming migrants of all stripes.

You might want to dismiss this as old news and not worth remembering, but if you recall at the time, Obama’s Task Force on New Americans was a government-wide plan that they wanted to place into the DNA of federal, state, and local governments presumably by setting policies, electing officials and planting employees who would carry out the agenda long after Obama was gone from the White House.
Here they are bragging about their successes in 2015:

On November 21, 2014, the President established the White House Task Force on New Americans—a government-wide effort tasked with better integrating immigrants and refugees into American communities. Want to get more details about the Task Force’s recommendations? Read the strategic action plan here.

In 2015, the Task Force has been busy implementing recommended actions and highlighting local models of success.

(Don’t miss the action plan! You might want to download it before it disappears!)
Continue here and you will see that they had (have!) some key initiatives. One was to tell the stories (via their media friends) of successful refugees and immigrants—they love stories—to bring the general public to their point of view that all immigration is a net positive for America.
Another was (is!) to spearhead a citizenship drive to get as many immigrants voting as they possibly could (can!). All, of course, under the rubric that this was all about “integration.”
As was intended, these initiatives continue to be promoted and it is much of the reason I wanted to write this blog as my small attempt to balance the news you read—-heck we can tell stories too!
Problem is that we don’t do it often enough—tell the not-so-sweet stories about what diversity often brings to America!
I’m posting this information from the ‘Welcoming Communities’ plan below for your future reference (and in case it is scrubbed!).

Raleigh's Rich Russians Arrested, Charged with Multiple Crimes

This was hot news in North Carolina last month, but I suspect it never made it to cable news fixated every day, all day, on Donald Trump!
Here is the headline of a Department of Justice press release in December.

Five Foreign Nationals Indicted on Murder-For-Hire, Money Laundering, and Immigration Charges

The story of the Russian nationals, led by Leonid Teyf, 57, who lived in a mansion estimated to be worth $4 million in a posh section of Raleigh reads like a made-for-TV movie.

As the DOJ’s press release tells us, the Russians got rich by ripping off the Russian military. Teyf was a contractor hired to supply goods and services to the Russian military, but had devised a kickback scheme that netted him over $150 million over a two year period.

The DOJ alleges that he, and his fellow Russians in the US, set up various businesses through which they laundered what amounts to Putin’s money.
The gang, including Teyf’s wife Tatyana, 41, are also charged with immigration fraud as they tried to get another of their Russian pals in to the US.

Murder-for-hire plot!

But, the story got even juicier when Teyf allegedly believed his wife was having an affair with his housekeeper’s son (remember made-for-TV potential here!).
Local news reports were buzzing about that tidbit. According to the DOJ,

During the course of the investigation into the money laundering charges, a Confidential Source utilized by the Federal Bureau of Investigation learned that Leonid Teyf came to believe that his wife, Tatyana Teyf, was having an affair with another man. Leonid Teyf recruited the Confidential Source to assist in planning for the man’s murder. The murder was to take place here in the United States or in Russia after they conspired to have the man deported.

If found guilty, Leonid Teyf could get 20 years and Tatyana and their other accomplices could get 10 each.
The feds will seek to recover $39 million and then here is the clincher for them, “Each defendant will likely face the prospect of removal from the United States after their terms of imprisonment.”
Why not just deport them after they are convicted and save us the expense of keeping them behind bars?

Let Putin take care of them!

Of course the first question that came to my mind when I read the news, widely reported in North Carolina, was: how did this bunch of Russian mobsters get in here in the first place? We hear mumbo-jumbo all the time about coming to America the right way? What is that? If they hadn’t made some dumb mistakes, would these mobsters just have wormed their way to US citizenship?
