Did You Forget About Pipe Bomber from January 5th? I Did!

Yes, whatever happened to that investigation?  Why is it taking so long to find the person on camera dropping pipe bombs off at two different locations near the US Capitol on January 5th.

Here is what a blogger called Techno Fog is saying (hat tip: Cathy):

The DC Pipe Bomb Suspect

What is the FBI hiding from the public?

It has been over five months and the FBI still has not apprehended the hooded suspect who placed pipe bombs near the RNC and DNC headquarters in Washington, D.C. on the evening of January 5, 2021.

The FBI’s latest wanted poster provides photographs and few identifying characteristics of the suspect:

There are, however, some curious omissions in the FBI’s description. By now, we assume the FBI (if it has done a thorough investigation) has the suspect’s height, approximate weight, and shoe size.

Why not disclose that information to the public?

Continue reading and see the informative photos where Techno Fog describes how to get more information on the suspect. Then this:

Why keep the suspect’s identifying information under wraps?

A couple possibilities. First, the FBI’s investigation is probably further along than any of us know. They’re collecting data on purchases of the suspect’s Nike Air Max Speed Turf and the timers, etc. used to make the pipe bombs. From that data they cross-reference travel, locations on 1/5/2021, height, shoe size, etc.

Second, maybe there’s something else to this story. The FBI has always been sensitive to its public perception and controls information to serve that purpose. For example, the FBI has never been forthcoming about its agents’ involvement with terror suspects.

Or, consider whether the pipe bomb investigation would cut against the politics of January 6. I take no pleasure in skepticism of the FBI, but this is a reputation the FBI has earned.

Either way, this outside observer can’t help but notice that one group of targets – those who entered the Capitol Building on January 6 – are pursued in the public sphere more aggressively than the person who set out pipe bombs the night before.

It could take YEARS to find the perp!

Oh great, a former FBI bomb specialist told NPR back in April, the most recent report I’m seeing, that it could take 10, 15, 20 years to get an indictment in a bombing case.

NPR reports that the FBI is doing “gait analysis.”

Check out the video here.  What do you think?  Does it look like a woman to you?

What We Know About The Suspect Who Planted Bombs Before The Capitol Riot

More than three months after the U.S. Capitol riot, a bomb-maker remains on the loose.

A majority of the public’s attention has been focused on the hundreds of people who have been charged for their role on Jan. 6. But the night before, someone committed a different crime: The person placed two explosive devices near the Capitol in Washington, D.C., and that person is still at large.

The FBI released a substantial amount of information [not enough for Techno Fog—ed] in an attempt to drum up leads from the public, and the reward for information about the suspect is now $100,000.

Here’s what is known: The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a COVID-19 mask and expensive sneakers — Nike Air Max Speed Turf with a distinctive yellow logo. Sometime between 7:30 and 8:30 p.m., the suspect placed one pipe bomb on a park bench near the headquarters of the Democratic National Committee and another behind the Republican National Committee headquarters.

Doug Kouns spent 22 years in the FBI and focused on counterterrorism after the Sept. 11 attacks, and he said that the suspect made a concerted effort to hide their identity. “You can see the person’s wearing gloves. They seem to be familiar with the area. They probably know there’s cameras here and there and have really just covered their tracks,” Kouns said.

[….]

While the suspect’s motive is unknown, former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven Sund testified before Congress that he believes that the devices were planted as a possible diversion ahead of the events the following day. “We were dealing with two pipe bombs that were specifically set right off the edge of our perimeter to, what I suspect, draw resources away,” he said in a congressional hearing. “I think there was a significant coordination with this attack.”

Despite all the resources that federal law enforcement has at its disposal, it has not yet been able to make an arrest in this case. “I would say it just takes time,” Black told NPR. “You know we’ve had investigations, bombing investigations … where it would be 10, 15, 20 years before someone was indicted.”

Continue here.

I’m in the camp with Techno Fog.  Why is this taking so long?

Finding the potential bomber would go a long way to show that it was either a diversionary tactic that was coordinated with events that unfolded the next day, or that the bombs were the work of an isolated nut (anarchist!) who wanted to create more chaos and further taint Trump patriots.

Just more evidence that the FBI isn’t doing its job, or worse, its investigation into the events surrounding January 6th is politically driven.

Pair Arrested and Charged in California Road Rage Murder of Little Boy

Surely you have seen the news.

Aiden Leos was murdered while being driven to school on May 21st

But, I decided it needed to be mentioned here as I have seen several stories in the last few months about deadly road rage incidents (not just in California) and I want you to be careful on the highways as we have newfound freedom to travel.

It was difficult to find a report that included photos of the pair arrested and included a mention of the fact that the boy’s mother had flipped a middle finger at the driver of the car in which Marcus Anthony Eriz, 24, and Wynne Lee, 23 were allegedly riding in a lane change dispute of some sort.

Eriz was charged with murder, Lee as an accessory. Arraignment set for June 18th. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/crime/marcus-eriz-charged-with-murder-in-road-rage-killing-of-6-year-old-aiden-leos-girlfriend-wynne-lee-charged-with-accessory-after-the-fact/ar-AAKPPfz

That is no excuse for Eriz to fire on the car, but I just want everyone to stay calm out there on the highways as there are some evil and insane people possibly in a car near you.

Don’t do anything that might provoke them!

As usual the UK Daily Mail has a lengthy account.  See it here.

Here is another road rage murder case from back in March that I never got a chance to post.  This one from North Carolina:

Is Your City Following the Path of “Model” Democrat-run City Rochester, NY?

It surely hasn’t escaped your notice that cities roiled by rioting and violent crime in drug-filled neighborhoods and with (of course!) declining populations are run, and have been run, by Democrats for decades.

It has been 50 years since Rochester had a Republican mayor.

But, alas, it would be impossible today to turn the “model city” of Rochester into someplace people chose to live.

And, due to its shrinking population, you watch, the next thing will be to fill it with third world refugees (with Catholic help) as Biden promises that starting in October the first of 125,000 Africans, Middle Easterners and Asians will be landing in America.

Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren commented last summer on how the city is going after gun violence. https://www.whec.com/rochester-new-york-news/mayor-lovely-warren-comments-on-string-of-violence-in-rochester/5840859/?cat=12713

Daniel Greenfield has a piece at Frontpage magazine this week that you should read as a cautionary tale, that is, if you haven’t been sufficiently cautioned already about Democrat governing principles.

The Democrat Model for the Future is the Worst City in America

I’ve only snipped a bit to whet your appetitive beginning with this you-can’t- make-this-up news worthy of a Saturday Night Live skit (if SNL wasn’t so PC).

As murders rose 56% and shootings shot up 90%, Rochester decided to offer iPads in exchange for “working handguns and assault rifles”. No questions asked. A week after the “largest gun buyback in Rochester history”, four people were shot in just one day.

Five months after announcing that she wanted to reimagine the police, Mayor Lovely Warren was indicted on campaign fraud charges.

You can’t make this up!

Last month, her husband was busted in the takedown of a drug ring. The cops found a semi-automatic rifle in her home. Warren, who had allied with Bloomberg’s Everytown gun control group, claimed that she knew nothing about the weapon.

It couldn’t have been too shocking since her husband had already been convicted of armed robbery.

Mayor Lovely Warren blamed the whole thing on racism….

Greenfield goes on….

Rochester isn’t suffering from excessive criminalization, but decriminalization. And the last thing a city overrun with drugs needs is more drugs, or police defunding, EV chargers, demolishing highways, or any of the other “progressive” gimmicks that Democrats keep jumping on.

The media is right. Rochester is a model. And a cautionary tale.

The former booming industrial city is a model for what the Democrats want to do to America, gutting industrial bases, replacing work with welfare, and then using black people as lab rats for radical social experiments like drug legalization and police defunding with deadly results.

Being a “model city” now means having every toxic leftist policy idea tested on you.

Democrats have failed at the most basic elements of governance in Rochester. And yet they keep rolling out exciting new ideas to fight global warming or transform society when they can’t even handle their existing responsibilities.

Rochester is the 5th poorest city in the country. It’s also one of the dirtiest, it has the worst schools in the state and some of the lowest literacy rates. The graduation rate hovers between 40 and 50 percent. 75% of Rochester’s children are being raised by single parents.

If Mayor Lovely Warren really wants to “close the wealth gap between Black and Brown people and our White neighbors”, then she might want to start there, instead of writing checks for black people from drug money while turning Rochester streets into war zones with police defunding.

And, it is all the fault of “systemic racism.”

And then they blame the corrupt, violent, and impoverished hellholes their economic and social policies created on “systemic racism”.

There is much more.

And, in case you have forgotten, Black Lives Matter went on a wrecking spree there, in a city run by blacks, last year.

Changing the subject!  See my post yesterday at RRW about how the number of mosques in America is mushrooming.

Biden has a Problem: As Violent Crime Rises, BLM Anti-Police Message Tanking

Watch for the Biden Administration to begin weaving and dodging on issues involving defunding the police and “reimagining” policing as Americans now feel safer about the Chinese Virus, but are feeling increasingly less safe from violence especially in large Democrat run cities.

The George Floyd rioting has finally sunk into the American psyche and many are realizing that they need the police after all.

The Republicans just got some news that they can use!

Tie every Dem running in 2022 to the anti-police message of the faltering Black Lives Matter movement.

From Yahoo News:

You can bet the real numbers are even worse for BLM and others pushing their racist message because those polled by Yahoo News likely already leaned to the Left.

Poll: More Americans now say violent crime is a ‘very big problem’ than say the same about COVID-19

In stark contrast to last summer, more Americans now say violent crime is a “very big problem” in the U.S. than say the same about COVID-19, according to a new Yahoo News/YouGov poll — a shift that suggests policing and public safety could come to dominate U.S. politics as the pandemic subsides, potentially putting the Biden administration and Democratic leaders on the defensive.

The survey of 1,588 U.S. adults, which was conducted from May 24 to May 26, found that just 32 percent of them now describe COVID-19 as a very big problem, down from 61 percent last July.

[….]

In a certain sense, this isn’t surprising. While mass vaccination has driven COVID-19 cases, deaths and hospitalizations to their lowest levels in many months, violent crime has been rising (even though it’s still occurring at a far lower rate than it was for much of the 1990s and before).

[….]

Nearly two-thirds of Americans (65 percent) now believe violent crime is increasing, including 76 percent of Republicans, 68 percent of independents and 63 percent of Democrats, according to the Yahoo News/YouGov poll. It’s the rare issue that elicits bipartisan agreement.

The scandal swirling around BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors sure doesn’t help the image of the racial justice movement. https://nypost.com/2021/05/27/black-lives-matter-co-founder-patrisse-cullors-resigns-amid-controversy/

What is striking, however, is that while anxiety about violent crime has held steady across the political spectrum since last summer, concerns about race relations and sympathy with racial justice reformers have fallen sharply in the wake of the protests that followed the murder of George Floyd one year ago.

Overall, the share of Americans who see race as a “very big problem” in the U.S. is now 13 percentage points lower than it was last July.

As a result, the political scales seem to be tilting away from racial justice reform…

[….]

Last June, for instance, 60 percent of Americans told Yahoo News and YouGov that there was a problem with systemic racism in policing; 63 percent said there was a problem with systemic racism in America. Today, both numbers are significantly lower: 51 percent and 55 percent, respectively. And while 57 percent of Americans had a favorable view of Black Lives Matter last June (compared with 33 percent unfavorable), today more Americans view BLM unfavorably (45 percent) than favorably (43 percent) — a net shift of 26 points against the movement.

In fact, when Americans who believe violent crime is increasing are asked why, far more now blame “the racial justice movement” itself (57 percent) than blame joblessness (44 percent), systemic racism (40 percent) or the pandemic (35 percent).

Then this made me laugh….”Experts debate…”   There is no debate. Anyone with half a brain could see that the Progressives’ rhetoric was encouraging violence.

Yahoo News continues:

Experts debate whether progressive reforms and critical rhetoric have played any role in encouraging violence; they tend to cite the pandemic and record gun sales  [Duh! up because people are trying to protect themselves—ed] as likelier factors.

Either way, the issue could vex Democrats going forward.

Asked who has done a better job handling crime, more Americans (34 percent vs. 32 percent) and independents (39 percent vs. 23 percent) say Trump than Biden.

More here.

Quick!  Find every Democrat (or weeny Republican) you can find who snuggled up to BLM (or Antifa) in the last year and capture their laudatory words and images before they are scrubbed.

Iowa: Illegal Alien on Trial for Brutal Murder Drops Bombshell, Takes Back His Confession

The man on trial for the murder of college student Mollie Tibbets in 2018 took the stand in the final portion of the defense’s case and told the court that two masked and armed men were responsible.

The case makes me so sick that I hadn’t been following it as closely as you likely have, so I was stunned to see the headlines this morning.

Clearly the plan is to sow seeds of doubt among the jurors.

Here is the Des Moines Register:

Mollie Tibbetts case: Cristhian Bahena Rivera says two armed men put Tibbetts into his trunk, threatened him

The man charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of Mollie Tibbetts testified Wednesday that he didn’t kill Tibbetts. Instead, he pointed blame at two unknown masked men — one armed with a gun, another with a knife — who surprised him at his home on the Yarrabee Farms property in rural Poweshiek County the night Tibbetts disappeared.

The Des Moines Register shows Bahena Rivera speaking with a court interpreter. I reported here that a massive cost to state and local tax payers is the cost of these interpreters when illegal aliens and refugees are in the criminal justice system. Thank Bill Clinton for that. https://fraudscrookscriminals.com/2019/07/31/illegal-alien-mexican-on-trial-for-gruesome-murder-costs-iowa-taxpayers-a-bundle/

The men, according to Cristhian Bahena Rivera, forced him to get into his car July 18, 2018, and drive around near Brooklyn, Iowa, before spotting Tibbetts jogging toward town. Bahena Rivera said the men — one named “Jack” — made him circle around several times before stopping along a gravel road near where Tibbetts was last seen.

They drove out of Tibbetts’ sight, Bahena Rivera testified. The man armed with the knife got out of the car for 10 to 12 minutes, while the other sat in the back seat.

Bahena Rivera told the jury he heard the man in the back seat mutter to himself while they awaited the other man’s return to the car, including the phrase “come on, Jack.” The man with the knife then returned, Bahena Rivera said, put something heavy in the trunk and told Bahena Rivera to drive them away.

The men, whom he’d never seen before that night, he testified, then threatened the safety of Bahena Rivera’s family if he dared speak up, including his girlfriend and then-3-year-old daughter, and then allegedly ran off toward a gravel road.

Frightened, Bahena Rivera testified through an interpreter, he went to the car’s trunk, found Tibbetts barely alive — but in such a state that he couldn’t save her — then carried her into a cornfield where he laid her body down.

Stop right there!  I sure hope the prosecutors cross-examined him on his assessment of her ability to live if he had gotten her medical attention.

Continue here for more details of what is clearly a fantasy story.  But, sadly, it might be enough to get a hung jury.
