Editor: A reader suggested I post again what I said in July. It appears that during this last week of December what I said in July still resonates maybe even more so as the brazen election steal by a man with dementia, continued Chinese virus scare tactics and even that massive giveaway to the world puts us in even more jeopardy for the s*** to hit the fan.

Never, ever, succumb to normalcy bias!

 

I don’t think preparing for the possibility that we could be visited by chaos and catastrophe this fall and winter is giving into the COVID panic.  Sensible people prepare for life changing events—they buy life insurance, change the batteries in smoke detectors and keep their automobile gas tanks full.

Do we call those people preppers?  We could because they are!

The warning signs have been right in front of our faces since about March!

 

The media has over the years depicted preppers as those who take to the back woods, lugging water from a nearby stream, and killing game to eat which they cook over spits in the ‘yard.’  But there is a wide range of possibilities for how much you want to prepare, and some of it is completely sane and sensible.

I had no interest this morning in writing one more crooks and criminals post that will only serve to feed your news reading addiction, because today I’m working on my to-do list for being prepared.

And, hey, look at it this way.  If conservative-minded people prep for the worst and the libs think the government is going to take care of them, guess who might survive riots, civil unrest and a pandemic.  You guessed it!

I just started reading a great book (well, I’ve only read a few chapters, so shouldn’t prematurely call it great) entitled “Start Prepping” by Tim Young. I subsequently learned a great deal from Young’s book and others.

The author discusses something that keeps most people from moving when faced with immediate or longterm danger.  He calls it ‘normalcy bias.’  He lists several examples of where people died because their brains just couldn’t go there—that they were in danger of being killed—and so they did nothing.

Case in point….

I recently read a novel about the Titanic and subsequently read a non-fiction book on the horrific sinking of the unsinkable ship.

The ship (on its maiden voyage!) sank in about two hours and 40 minutes from the time it struck an iceberg in the north Atlantic until it went down.

Initially the captain and officers didn’t think it was possible that they would lose the whole ship and many passengers did not move to lifeboats (there weren’t enough anyway) continuing to play cards and otherwise entertain themselves as normalcy bias overcame them.  At least 1,500 people went down with the ship.

Bad things do happen in history, after all, Rome fell, Nazi Germany nearly conquered all of Europe, the Twin Towers fell, is it so far-fetched that we are due for some rough times.

Heck we have had a little taste of it already.

Six months ago would you have dreamed that millions would lose their jobs and fat women would be punching each other in the aisles of supermarkets over toilet paper?

So what is the downside of learning how to protect your family?  A few people might think you are nutty—so what!

I suggest you stop reading this post, and look for a few good books and then head out to the grocery stores near you that are (still) open and begin getting in the things you would hate to live without even for a brief time—coffee maybe?

But, don’t forget water!  Author Tim Young says it is the most vital commodity for surviving even a few days.  Those of you living on ‘city water’ could find your water supply suddenly shut off for myriad reasons.

And, so what if you spend some time preparing, get in some food, water and other supplies and thank God nothing out of the normal happens later this year, then you can enjoy a few less shopping trips over the winter, eat some of what you have stored, and spend the extra free time on your political news reading addiction instead!

Finally, are you an ant or a grasshopper?  Aesop figured this out, oh, about six centuries before Christ.   Of course, one big difference now is that the ‘grasshoppers’ of today are mean SOBs often with weapons.  And that is another thing you need to be prepping for!

Yesterday, literally hundreds of thousands of patriots of all colors, creeds and ages descended on the Nation’s capital to send a message of support to the President and to protest the legitimacy of the 2020 presidential election and the media’s coronation of King Joe and Queen Kamala.

I am so glad I was there or I wouldn’t have believed it. Reading news accounts in the mainstream media last night and this morning confirmed again what a lying bunch of partisans control the media.

Look at this headline from an AP news story:

Thousands rally behind Trump, believing he won race he lost

AP declares the race over even as counting and lawsuits continue. And “thousands.”  I’m telling you there were hundreds of thousands, but they could have been forgiven if they had at least said ‘tens of thousands.’

Estimating would be almost impossible because the first wave filled the entire length of Pennsylvania Avenue from Freedom Plaza to the Supreme Court about a mile across all lanes and on the sidewalks.  Then an hour or so later an entire additional wave filled the same space as the new group of marchers made it to the Supreme Court steps.

And, virtually all of the mainstream media reported that there was violence “on the margins.”  I was there for hours and saw NO violence, only passionate and courteous people who believe the election was stolen. Yes! Stolen!

Here I am surrounded by Virginia patriots and hundreds of thousands of America Firsters from across our great country!

I was there for the big Tea Party rallies of a decade ago, but this beat anything from that era. Yesterday, like ten years ago, the mainstream media, the fake news, downplayed the enormity of the patriot crowds that gathered then and now.

Yesterday was different for another significant reason summed up in one word—diversity.

Tea Party rallies were largely middle to upper class mostly white Americans, while the diversity represented in the crowd yesterday was remarkable.  The supporters of this President, who came to Washington on short notice, are from all walks of life economically and were representative of the ethnic diversity of America. There were people of color sporting their Trump shirts and hats, large numbers of Hispanics and Asians waving Trump and American flags everywhere.

A Chinese woman came up to my friends and I outside the Supreme Court and implored us to fight the “demon” Chinese Communist Party which she feared would have more power in America if Biden is installed as President.

Again, as I saw no violence for the many hours I was there, it surely happened when night fell and the Antifa/BLM thugs came out like rats and roaches as darkness came to DC.

I have searched through dozens of media accounts and photos but none, including mine, could do justice to the number of America Firsters! who came to Washington, throwing caution to the wind when it came to the Chinese virus, and clearly having decided that being there was more important than possibly dying.

Oh, and when you see accounts that no one was wearing masks, that is wrong.  Many people did wear masks.

Here are a series of still photos from NPR that I thought were mostly good, but you can tell the Lefties at NPR have added a bunch of photos that are meant for the elites to get a chuckle among themselves about the “deplorables” and “chumps” that make up Trump’s huge base.

And, this man’s sign sums up why so many were willing to risk China virus death to be there! “Give me liberty or give me a 0.016% chance of death!”

And, sadly I never did see the Proud Boys that the mainstream media is so afraid of.  Here praying before the rally. Is there a Proud Girls group I could join?

 

Everyone was hoping to get a glimpse of the President, but alas he drove by early, mouthing “thank you,” before noon and before the most massive crowds had gathered.  Frankly, his motorcade would not have been able to get through the crowds as they swelled to fill that entire space by noon.

And, to wrap up, another reader from Maryland sent me this comment about the Proud Boys in response to me saying I hadn’t seen them:

I saw the Proud Boys twice. The first time was when they came marching down 13th Street into Freedom Plaza. They were all in black and in formation about five people wide — a lot of them. At first glance I thought they were Antifa because of the all-black clothing, but I soon saw that they weren’t. The second time was at the Supreme Court when again they came marching in in formation. They included several black guys. The first time they didn’t look at the bystanders but the second time they exchanged friendly looks with us. It felt kind of comforting having them there.

The other day I directed you to Leo Hohmann’s ‘Dark Winter’ post in which he mentions Shutdown DC, a radical group prepared to hit the streets in Washington, DC (and beyond) on Election Day.

Michelle Malkin featured the progressive extremists in a column on Tuesday.

The part I found most interesting was that Shutdown DC has infiltrated many federal government agencies and is organizing hidden activists who work for you and me (the taxpayer!) to do whatever they can to undermine the Trump administration from within.

Who says there isn’t a deep state?

If it’s anything like the skateboard squads and soup can squads who’ve used everyday items as weapons to beat Trump supporters, look for more blood to spill in the name of “peaceful protest.” Mass disruptions are planned at train stations and airports, on highways and in residential neighborhoods for at least the first full week after Election Day.

“We’ll keep it going until Trump concedes,” ShutDown D.C. threatens in its outline of a “No More Business As Usual” blockade across the country. “We could be in the streets throughout the fall and into the winter — maybe as lots of rolling waves of action or possibly as a few major tsunamis! In other parts of the country, as vote counts conclude, our focus will turn from protecting the vote counts to themselves being ungovernable.”

Here’s what has me especially concerned: The “deep state” Trump-haters are openly gearing up to do everything they can from inside the federal government to assist the resistance.

By the way, I know a lot of you patriots love the National Parks, but as a longtime defender of property rights for landowners around National Parks you need to know that, due to its voracious appetite for more land, the Park Service is not a good neighbor when the Dems are in control of the government.

‘Choose Democracy’ Claims it is Organizing to Stop Trump’s Coup

Yes, this group of community organizers is planning to go to the streets at election time because they believe Trump will not leave office if he loses.  They think that Donald Trump is planning a coup.  Nevermind that Obama and his entire inner circle has been trying to illegally overthrow Trump for over four years.

They make it sound like they are going to bodily remove the President on November 4th, but no matter what happens, he is President until inauguration day in January (LOL! do they know that!).

This is a prime example of how the media (granted BuzzFeed “leans left”) carries the water for the Progressive Left and obviously is enjoying hyping the size of the Trump opposition.

The ‘star’ of this story is a humble former “public school teacher” who has been moved by the words of that meany in the White House to get politically active this year and has selected a group called Choose Democracy where she is putting in time as a volunteer (two hours a day!).

This Is How Thousands Of Americans Are Preparing To Take On Trump If He Refuses To Leave Office

One day late last month, longtime activist George Lakey was yet again training people on how to peacefully resist a coup. But this time, he was not in Moscow or Bangkok or one of the many other far-off places where he has traveled over his 70-year career as a sociologist and writer promoting democracy and nonviolent forms of protest. He was in the United States, at his home in suburban Philadelphia.

On the other end of Lakey’s Zoom webinar were around 1,000 American voters — 500 more, he noted, than had shown up the week before — from around the country who were glued to their screens, taking careful notes.

As President Donald Trump has spent the last few months planting seeds of doubt about the integrity of the US’s electoral process and urging his supporters to “go into the polls and watch very carefully,” dozens of advocacy groups, mostly progressive, have been hard at work trying to organize and train everyday Americans for what to do if their democracy appears to fall apart before their eyes.

“When Trump a few weeks ago began saying he wouldn’t commit to a peaceful transfer of power, that’s when I decided I needed to do it,” said Lisa Graustein, a 45-year-old former public school teacher in Boston, of her decision to give up two hours of her day to partake in a training on the finer points of mass demonstrations, peaceful sit-ins, and putting public pressure on elected officials.

Graustein, who now runs a food distribution center [see packing Goya beans photo–must have been before Goya CEO came out for Trump!—ed], said she had been “semi active” in local political and activist causes in the past.

Still, that was a far cry from pondering the questions Lakey asked in the training, such as: Are you a person who will stand up to authority and be a voice for others? Or hearing Lakey assure the group that dictatorships fall when the masses rise up and that nonviolent resistance — like in Argentina in 1987 and the Soviet Union in 1991 — could be used to defeat a possible power grab by Trump.

But Graustein said she and all her friends and work colleagues are anxious about the election. “People not active in previous elections are active now,” she said. And so when someone in her Quaker community told her about the training, she signed up.

The idea behind the effort was to “actually help prevent” the possibility of a coup, explained Eileen Flanagan, who moderated the training with Lakey.

The training was organized by Choose Democracy, a Washington, DC–based group that describes itself as a “crew of organizers, activists, trainers, academics, and concerned citizens preparing for the scenario of a coup in 2020.”

So BuzzFeed reporter, Ukrainian-based Christopher Miller, wants you to believe that Lisa the food bank worker, just a typical American middle-aged woman, is motivated for the first time to go to the streets to throw ‘orange man’ from the White House.

But, hold on a second!

“Someone in her Quaker community” told her about Choose Democracy?  She didn’t know Daddy was its primary funder?

I checked Open Secrets on Choose Democracy and it seems that in mid September, someone with the same last name, Graustein, was the primary donor to the PAC Choose Democracy.

Related to Lisa Graustein? Sure looks like it.

It seems that the fund has taken a “new direction” over the years helped along by William’s daughter Lisa.  See here.

Lakey is an oft-arrested Quaker

It seems pretty clear that Ms. Graustein is not a newbie to political agitation.

After all, she is a Quaker.

Most Americans don’t know that the ‘Friends’ (aka Quakers) are an extreme leftwing political group.

I wrote about them at RRW and elsewhere over the years because they have worked closely with pro-Palestinian and Islamic supremacist groups.

You will see at the Wall Street Journal that they are aggressively anti-Israel.

Be sure to read more of the BuzzFeed story that never mention’s Lisa Graustein’s connection to the source of money that is going to organizing spearheaded by an infamous community organizer, George Lakey.

One last thing….

I see at Open Secrets that Choose Democracy had not spent any of the Graustein’s money, or anyone else’s, through the end of September, so this PAC isn’t contributing to the Biden campaign, or any other campaign it seems.

Note again that 6 donors gave the vast majority of the funds Choose Democracy has available.

Makes me wonder if they are saving their bucks for street action—hiring agitators, covering their expenses, and buying ‘supplies’ as they plan to storm Washington, DC. and the Trump White House.

A mysterious group has made available the names and addresses of hundreds of thousands of Trump donors.  There can only be one reason for this—it is a target list! And, they want you to be afraid!

Far left operatives created the Donald Trump Watch website recently to reveal local Trump donors in your community.

Users are able to punch in the address of any location in the country and a map will show you the name and address of any Trump donor in the area.

The website is using FEC data to target Trump voters and donors.

According to the website they provide the names and addresses of “Americans who Give Money to Support a Racist.”

The only reason for calling Trump a racist and doxing his supporters on-line is to let BLM and ANTIFA know where we live.

I looked for my name and it wasn’t there, but realized that it must be because I gave through the RNC. I did find friends!  It is real!

And, if they are successful in frightening patriots this time, it will have a chilling effect on anyone considering donating to a future America First presidential candidate.
