Jeff Bezos Ex-Wife Gives Millions Away to Leftwing Agitation Groups

The list is long, but the one that caught my interest was HIAS (formerly the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) and one of nine federal refugee contractors I have been writing about for going on 14 years.

Of those nine (below), HIAS hustlers have been the most political, by far, of the contractors and its head honcho, Mark Hetfield, was out front for four years working to defeat Donald Trump with rallies in the streets and cases in the courts all the while sucking up millions of your tax dollars.

Bezos’ Ex-Wife MacKenzie Scott Donates $2.7B to Fund HIAS, Open Borders Lobby, Pro-Censorship Groups, Racial Justice NGOs

MacKenzie Scott, who received $38 billion from her divorce with Jeff Bezos, is giving leftist NGOs, the open borders lobby and “racial justice” agitators their greatest windfall in history.

Scott on Tuesday released a list of 286 groups she’s giving another $2.7 billion in divorce money to on her blog.

The first which stands out is HIAS, formerly known as the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, which works to resettle refugees through America.

They didn’t say how much her donation was but the head of the group [Hetfield] said it “would enable the group to become an emergency responder to refugee crises around the world in addition to a resettlement agency,” eJewishPhilanthropy reported.

HIAS’s latest financial report for 2019 says they had $80 million in total assets and $55 million in net assets.

I’m assuming they probably got a lot more than the $7 million she gave to Repair The World as they’re now planning to go global.

Another notable group on the list is Muslim Advocates, which is basically just a Muslim copy of the Anti-Defamation League that lobbies for internet censorship, mass immigration and hate speech laws.

The top of their website says how they’re suing Facebook for not censoring enough.

Because you may not be a reader at RRW, here is one of the things I have done over the years and that is to check out IRS Form 990s for the resettlement contractors/political agitators.

Visiting two pages will give you a feel for an organization.  First I want to know how much federal money they receive for their ‘religious’ charitable work.

Here (below) is page 9 of HIAS most recently available Form 990 (2019).

When I first started examining tax documents for non-profits, this information was on page one, but at some point it was moved to page 9 presumably to deter nosey taxpayers from finding it.

Government grants is your involuntary gift from the US Treasury. Some or all of the million in fees is taxpayer money as well.

And here, check out the six-figure salaries the top execs are making.

I call it doing well by doing good.  Think about how some staffer for HIAS is making more than a US Senator, Congressman or Supreme Court Justice!

By the way, if you think it is not kosher of me to post salaries I would agree if the business entity was truly a private one, but these government contractors are spending our money so I figure it is fair game.

Below are the nine federal refugee contractors that monopolize all resettlement of third world refugees to your towns and cities. They will soon be awash in your money as Harris/Biden say they will admit 125,000 refugees from Africa, Asia and the Middle East to the US beginning on October first.

The contractors are paid on a per refugee head basis and to a large degree determine which towns and cities will be new resettlement targets.

The other day I directed you to Leo Hohmann’s ‘Dark Winter’ post in which he mentions Shutdown DC, a radical group prepared to hit the streets in Washington, DC (and beyond) on Election Day.

Michelle Malkin featured the progressive extremists in a column on Tuesday.

The part I found most interesting was that Shutdown DC has infiltrated many federal government agencies and is organizing hidden activists who work for you and me (the taxpayer!) to do whatever they can to undermine the Trump administration from within.

Who says there isn’t a deep state?

Ready or not, here they come. The ground troops of the anti-Donald Trump resistance aren’t just biding their time until Election Day for Hidin’ Joe Biden. Hell no. They’re making their direct action checklists and checking them twice. They’re training for instigating.

No matter the outcome at the ballot box, the left-wing mob is prepared to disrupt and destroy nationwide in the name of preserving “democracy.”

Another key social justice player, ShutDown D.C., is teaming with Sunrise Movement guerilla warriors to mobilize students, community organizers and even federal employees to take to the streets on Nov. 3.

ShutDown D.C. anticipates that 10,000 protesters from a motley assortment of affinity groups will converge at Black Lives Matter Plaza to engage in “civil resistance” if President Trump tries to “steal the election.” A “Flying Bike Squad” is “coming together as a rapid response team,” according to organizers. If it’s anything like the skateboard squads and soup can squads who’ve used everyday items as weapons to beat Trump supporters, look for more blood to spill in the name of “peaceful protest.” Mass disruptions are planned at train stations and airports, on highways and in residential neighborhoods for at least the first full week after Election Day.

“We’ll keep it going until Trump concedes,” ShutDown D.C. threatens in its outline of a “No More Business As Usual” blockade across the country. “We could be in the streets throughout the fall and into the winter — maybe as lots of rolling waves of action or possibly as a few major tsunamis! In other parts of the country, as vote counts conclude, our focus will turn from protecting the vote counts to themselves being ungovernable.”

Here’s what has me especially concerned: The “deep state” Trump-haters are openly gearing up to do everything they can from inside the federal government to assist the resistance.

If you are wondering why the agencies represented here deal mostly with the environment, it is because Shutdown DC is filled with climate activists who have promoted civil unrest in the past.

By the way, I know a lot of you patriots love the National Parks, but as a longtime defender of property rights for landowners around National Parks you need to know that, due to its voracious appetite for more land, the Park Service is not a good neighbor when the Dems are in control of the government.

Michigan Mayor Indicted! Committed Bribery and Wire Fraud, Say the Feds

The Mayor, along with his pals, allegedly used his elected office and campaign funds to enrich himself.

From the US Justice Department just before Christmas:

MAYOR OF TAYLOR AND TWO OTHERS INDICTED FOR BRIBERY AND FRAUD

A thirty-three count Indictment unsealed today charges City of Taylor Mayor Richard “Rick” Sollars, businessman Shady Awad, and Taylor Community Development Manager Jeffrey Baum with conspiracy to commit bribery in a scheme spanning from 2015 to 2019, United States Attorney Matthew Schneider announced. The Indictment also charges Sollars and Awad with seven counts of bribery each, and charges Sollars and Baum with 18 counts of Wire Fraud.

According to the Indictment, Sollars helped Awad’s real estate development company Realty Transition LLC obtain scores of tax-foreclosed properties owned by the City of Taylor. In return, Awad lavished Sollars with thousands of dollars in cash and over $30,000 in renovations to Sollars’s home, over $11,000 in renovations to Sollars’s lake house, and over $12,000 in new household appliances.

The appliances included a refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwasher, a $1,600 cigar humidor, a vacuum cleaner, and a clothes washer and dryer. The free renovations provided to Sollars by Awad include hardwood floors on every level of Sollars’s Taylor residence, hardwood floors at the lake house, a garage door, a new front door, cabinets, and a refurbished lake house deck.

The Indictment also alleges that Jeffrey Baum received bribes from Awad and another developer, in exchange for Baum’s help in obtaining tax-foreclosed properties from the City.

Text messages between Sollars, Awad, and Baum cited throughout the Indictment document the bribe scheme. In one text, Awad states as follows: “My relationship with Rick is worth $1 million so whatever it takes I’ll pay for it” in telling a contractor to do free work on Sollars’s lake house.

The Indictment also charges Sollars and Baum with 18 counts of Wire Fraud, alleging that Sollars and Baum defrauded donors to Sollars’s campaign fund in three ways. First, Sollars would take checks from his campaign account and write them payable to a particular market, purporting to pay for catering for one of Sollars’s events. Instead, the market owner would cash the campaign checks and give the cash back to Sollars, with no catering provided. Second, Sollars and Baum would direct Sollars’s supporters to write checks directly to the market for events that never occurred. Sollars would get cash and scratch-off lottery tickets from the market owner. Third, Sollars and Baum would solicit and accept thousands of dollars in cash contributions to Sollars’s campaign. Instead of depositing the funds into his campaign account, Sollars would simply keep the cash and use it for personal expenses.

The Indictment also seeks forfeiture of $205,993 in cash seized from Sollars’s home on February 10, 2019.

“Any time an allegation of corruption is brought to our attention, the FBI’s Detroit Area Public Corruption Task Force will investigate it thoroughly. HIAS does not want local citizens to have any say in which third world refugees are placed in which towns.

HIAS has been protesting Trump from the moment he was elected. Here CEO Mark Hetfield led a February 2017 anti-Trump rally that featured then Rep. They like the system as it has been for decades with nine federal contractors working with the US State Department determining how much poverty (and diversity) your town can manage.
