Georgia: Islamic Terrorist Wannabe Pleads Guilty

You have probably seen the news, but just in case….

Georgia man pleads guilty to attempting to attack the White House with explosives

ATLANTA – Hasher Jallal Taheb, who planned an attack on the White House using weapons and explosives, has pleaded guilty to a charge of attempting to destroy, by fire or an explosive, a building owned by or leased to the United States.

“Taheb hatched a dangerous plan that would have resulted in unimaginable injury,” said U.S. Attorney Byung J. “BJay” Pak. “We are grateful to community members who noticed his dangerous evolution and alerted law enforcement. Along with our federal, state and local partners, we will remain vigilant in order to disrupt these types of attacks before they happen.”

“Taheb planned to conduct a terrorist attack on the White House as part of what he claimed was his obligation to engage in jihad,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John C. Demers.

“And that was just one of the iconic American landmarks he wanted to target. Thanks to a tip from a member of the community and the work of the agents, analysts, and prosecutors responsible for this case, the threat posed by the defendant was neutralized and the defendant has admitted his guilt and will now be held accountable for his crime.”

“This plea is the result of a more than year-long intensive investigation by FBI Atlanta’s Joint Terrorism Task Force, which was because of a tip from the community,” said Chris Hacker, Special Agent in Charge of FBI Atlanta. “Our citizens are our most important weapons in fighting terrorism, our eyes and ears in our communities, and why we say to please contact law enforcement if you see or hear something suspicious.”

St. Cloud, MN: Ho Hum Another Somali in Trouble with the Law

Here we have another young African man we most likely raised on the taxpayers’ dime (virtually all Somalis in the US came in through the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program or are the children of those who did).

I just checked the State Department’s Refugee Processing Center*** and learned that nearly 7,000 Somalis were placed directly in Minnesota in the last ten years.  1,373 were placed in St. Cloud.  But, this number does not show how many Somalis have arrived in St. Cloud as secondary migrants.

Secondary migrants is State Department lingo for those who were placed elsewhere in America and then picked up and moved to Minnesota to be with their own kind of people.  Working to make Minnesota the first Somali state in America?

Anyway, here is the latest example of the ‘diversity is strength’ myth the Left is always peddling.

Believe it or not, there are other things happening besides the virus crisis including ‘new American’ criminal creeps going about their business as usual.

St. Cloud Man Charged after Alleged Home Invasion Burglary, Assault

 

A St. Cloud resident has been charged after authorities say he and a group of others chased another man into a residence and attacked him.

Abdinajib Muhumed Mohamed—ahhhh the joys of multiculturalism in the American heartland!

Abdinajib Muhumed Mohamed, 20, has been charged in Stearns County with one count of felony first-degree burglary in the case filed in that county on Friday.

The criminal complaint states that Mohamed and a group chased a man into a residence and attacked him, according to a report on the incident. When police arrived, they found a man bleeding from his head and lip.

The victim told police that Mohamed and the others confronted him outside, and one person in the group shouted, “get him” and Mohamed pointed a gun at him.

Mohamed was convicted in July on fifth-degree assault related to a 2018 Benton County robbery case. Two felony charges of aiding first-degree aggravated robbery and aiding third-degree assault were dismissed in the case. Mohamed was placed on probation and given credit for 54 days already served in jail and was released.

Court records show that two warrants for Mohamed’s arrest have been issued since the July conviction. One for an alleged probation violation and one for failure to appear at a hearing related to the probation violation. Mohamed was released on zero bail following separate arrests on both warrants, most recently on January 10.

New Mexico: Teen Wrestling Champ Tackles Wannabe Kidnapper

This is a story to bring a smile to your face.

Obviously ignoring admonitions about safe distancing, a teenage wrestling champion body-slammed and pinned a man attempting to kidnap children in what had to be a bizarre scene at a Las Cruces gas station.   Thanks to ‘meanymom’ for spotting the story from last week.

Deputies: Teen wrestling champ stops kidnapping of children

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — A 16-year-old wrestling champion helped stop a kidnapping and assault near Las Cruces, New Mexico, by pinning a man to the ground until deputies arrived, authorities said.

Canaan Bower won the District 3-5A championship in the 285-pound (129-kilogram) heavyweight division on Feb. 16

Mayfield High School student Canaan Bower was being lauded as a hero after controlling suspect Daniel Arroyo Beltran, 22, of Phoenix.

Dona Ana County deputies arrested Beltran Wednesday after witnesses told authorities he tried to kidnap three children at a gas station.

The mother told authorities that she got off at a bus stop with her children, ages 9, 2 and 1, and was waiting for an Uber driver to arrive when a man grabbed her 2-year-old child and demanded the woman turn over her children.

Witnesses told authorities the man punched the woman and others who tried to intervene before the woman was able to rush inside the store with her children. Witnesses said the attacker followed, continuing his demands.

“Punches were being thrown and (he could hear) screams of terror, so he jumped in his truck and went across the street,” Canaan Bower’s dad Troy Bower told the Las Cruces Sun-News. “By the time he got there, they had gone inside and so he got out of his truck and went inside.”

Daniel Arroyo Beltran doesn’t look like he weighs more than a hundred pounds wet!

Troy Bower added that his son told him he body-slammed the man and got him in a chokehold until deputies arrived.

Canaan Bower won the District 3-5A championship in the 285-pound (129-kilogram) heavyweight division on Feb. 16, and later competed at the state tournament.

There’s no indication in police reports that the man knew the mother or her children.

Beltran was charged with battery, assault, child abuse and kidnapping and remained jailed Friday.

 

Minnesota: Woman Charged with Visa Fraud; Injured Illegals to Help them Get Special Visas

Just when you think you have heard it all, here comes yet another scam on America.

Did you even know there were U-Visas that allow illegal aliens to stay in the US if they have been the victim of a crime.  This creepy woman actually cut her willing accomplices with a box cutter to help create the lie that they were victims!

Thanks to reader Cristina for sending me the story from last month.  (I am getting behind due to the distractions of life these days.)  Which reminds me to say I hope all of you are doing well and staying healthy.

“According to the allegations in the indictment, between August 20, 2019, and September 30, 2019, LINARES conspired with other individuals to defraud the United States by making false statements to fraudulently obtain U Nonimmigrant Visas (“U-Visas”), for four individuals.

Victims of certain criminal activities that occur in the United States may be eligible to apply for and obtain a U Visa. A victim who obtains a U Visa may subsequently apply to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to adjust their status to become a lawful permanent resident of the United States.

According to the allegations in the indictment, LINARES devised and participated in a detailed scheme, whereby the four individuals each falsely reported to the Eden Prairie Police Department that they were victims of robberies committed in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.

LINARES directed the individuals to file a police report stating that they were a victim of a fabricated assault, and to corroborate each other’s account of the assault. LINARES used a box cutter or other sharp object to cut the four individuals before they filed their false report with the Eden Prairie Police Department. In exchange, LINARES collected a $2,000 fee from each individual.”

Somali Gets New Trial Because Cop Said Somalis Tend to Lie

Court grants new trial after cop says Somalis tend to lie

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Minnesota man of Somali descent who was convicted of opening fire on other Somalis will get a new trial after a detective improperly testified that Somalis often lie to police, a Wisconsin appeals court ruled Tuesday.

Ahmed Farah Hirsi was charged with multiple counts of attempted homicide and recklessly endangering safety in the January 2014 car-to-car shooting at the Spirit Seller liquor store in Hudson, Wisconsin, just across the state line from the Twin Cities. A jury convicted Hirsi in 2015 and he was sentenced to 35 years in prison.

According to court documents, the driver of Hirsi’s car testified in a plea deal that Hirsi pulled the trigger. But the victims who testified at trial said they either didn’t see the shooter or that it wasn’t Hirsi. The driver of the victims’ car testified that he told police that the man who shot him was still out there.
Prosecutors called Tracy Henry, a detective from St. Paul, Minnesota, to the stand. Minnesota has the largest concentration of Somalis in America.

Henry testified that in her experience Somalis don’t trust police and prefer to handle disputes themselves. She added that Somali crime victims and witnesses tend to “fabricate” events to avoid retribution within their clans.

Hirsi argued on appeal that the judge never should have allowed the detective’s testimony because it impugns the credibility of another witness and it was improper because it was based on race or ethnicity.

The 3rd District Court of Appeals agreed and ordered a new trial. The court ruled unanimously that the testimony violated legal rules that prohibit one witness from commenting about the truthfulness of another witness’ testimony. The racial and ethnic aspect of Henry’s testimony raises “heightened prejudice concerns,” the court said. The relevance of group tendencies in predicting witness credibility is “extraordinarily weak,” the court said.

Endnote:  I’ve been busy over at RRW these last few days because first I learned that the refugee flow to America had not slowed due to the virus crisis.  Then, just two days ago, the UN stopped the flow of refugees because of fear that the refugees would be exposed to coronavirus.

This post could just as well have been posted at RRW because almost all Somalis in the US are here thanks to the UN/US Refugee Admissions Program that turned 40 on St. Patrick’s day.
