Brazilian Man Arrested for Bank Fraud, used Dunkin Donuts Gift Cards

I’m continually amazed at the complexity of the scams many foreigners are using to rip-off Americans and America.

Stories similar to this one pass me by every day and I can’t possibly post them all, but ones with a twist, like this one, are interesting and worth reporting.

Rarely are we rewarded with photos of the foreign fraudsters! Estefano Dall Anese Borlotti

In this case Estefano Dall Anese Borlotti, 35, is here illegally and according to one report on his arrest, he used a Brazilian passport to obtain a Florida drivers license—is that possible!

Can a person in the country apparently illegally (he is now being held on an immigration detainer) just willy-nilly get a drivers license?

Here is the bare outline of the scheme that enabled him to steal tens of thousands of dollars from New Hampshire banks.

Secret Service: Brazilian’s bank data scheme hits Seacoast ATMs

PORTSMOUTH — A Secret Service agent’s affidavit alleges a Brazilian man, with unnamed accomplices, were able to transfer stolen bank data onto Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards they used to withdraw more than $100,000 from bank ATMs in Manchester, Barrington, Dover, Durham and Portsmouth.

The affidavit was filed with the U.S. District Court of New Hampshire by Special Agent Timothy Benitez on Oct. 24, leading to a warrant for the arrest of Estefano Dall Anese Borlotti, 35.

Miami, Florida, police records show Borlotti was arrested Thursday for unrelated charges alleging he “reincoded” stolen bank data onto credit cards and is being held there on $22,500 bail, as well as an immigration detainer.

[….]

The federal charges in New Hampshire allege Borlotti reincoded bank account information onto Dunkin’ Donuts cards to withdraw cash at Federal Savings Bank locations in Barrington, Dover, Durham, Portsmouth and Rochester at different times in April and May.

[….]

The affidavit notes the Dunkin’ Donuts cards contained “a wide variety of both United States and foreign” bank account information and were used to withdraw cash across the Seacoast, as well as in Brazil.

[….]

Miami, Florida, police records report Borlotti is being held there on charges alleging trafficking counterfeit credit cards, organized fraud and two counts of credit card forgery/intent to defraud. He’s also being held on a federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer, according to court records.

Read the whole story for more details on the scam.

And, see here where we learn about the drivers license:

Officials said Borlotti has a Brazilian passport, which he used to obtain a Florida driver’s license.

Such clever foreign fraudsters among us!

Florida: Illegal Alien Steals Car, Leaves Handicapped Dog to Die

You may have seen the sad news, but I wanted to be sure I had it archived here at ‘Frauds and Crooks.’

From the Sun-Sentinel:

He stole a car and left a disabled dog to die in the back seat, authorities say

A 19-year-old man has been arrested in the death of a disabled dog after police say he stole a Volvo and left the beloved canine trapped inside the car to die of heat stroke.

Jephthe Jeanfrancois [some news accounts split this name making it Jean Francois.—-ed] was arrested on 15 charges including multiple counts of burglary, grand theft and causing suffering and death to an animal, records show.

Jeanfrancois appeared in court Thursday representing himself and declining the services of a public defender. Assistant State Attorney Eric Linder said in court Thursday that when Jean Francois broke into the car, the handicapped dog was in the back seat.

“He stole the vehicle, he discarded the vehicle, leaving this dog stranded to its own devices locked in the car,” he said. “When the car was later found, the dog was found unfortunately deceased and what I can only imagine greatly suffered.”

[….]

Linder said when Jeanfrancois was caught, his GPS monitor — from previous charges from a separate case — placed him at the parking lot when the car was stolen.

Wanda Dushan Ferrari said her dog, Zorra, went missing Oct. 3 from a shopping plaza in Oakland Park off North Andrews Avenue. She said Zorra was a 13-year-old Husky-Shepherd mix weighing 45 pounds. Because of hip ailments, the dog was paralyzed in her rear legs, and used a pink dog wheelchair.

[….]

Ferrari said she had run inside a Dollar Tree to get cash because a nearby gas station’s card reader was broken. The windows were down and the engine was running, according to a Sheriff’s Office report. Her faithful companion since the dog was 2 months old was patiently waiting. When she returned after 10 minutes, the car — and her dog — were gone.

“Zorra was my world, my heart, my soul. I don’t know what I’m going to do without her.”

“I can’t take this,” she said crying.

More here.  See how the police caught him after a string of burglaries and additional car thefts.

The Illegal Alien Crime Reporter has identified the creep as an illegal alien from Haiti as do other news stories.

Open Borders, Inc. loves to tell heart wrenching stories about migrants at the border suffering at the hands of our President because they want to reach uninformed Americans through their emotions.  We really need to do a much better job of telling stories like this one and many many others I’ve posted here at ‘Frauds and Crooks.’

In fact, if I were the President, I would tell a couple of stories like this one at every rally he holds and showcase some of the dreadful people who are among us thanks to groups like Church World Service demanding access to America for every creep in the world.

Michelle Malkin on the SPLC/CAIR and Media Lemmings

You may have heard by now that the managers at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort have cancelled (on very short notice) an event scheduled there by Brigitte Gabriel’s Act for America at which Michelle Malkin was to be the featured speaker.

Here Malkin pens a piece published at Rasmussen Reports explaining how the SPLC and CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) say “jump” and the media does exactly what they are told and businesses like the Mar-a-Lago resort quake in their boots and capitulate!

Surrendering to SPLC’s Lazy Media Lemmings

ACT for America, a nationwide grassroots group that educates the public about radical Islam, was founded in 2007 by my vigilant activist friend and Lebanese Christian immigrant journalist Brigitte Gabriel. I was honored to accept Gabriel’s invitation to speak at her organization’s annual banquet at Mar-a-Lago Club in Palm Beach, Florida, on Nov. 7.

Gabriel has worked tirelessly to expose the Islamic imperialist agenda of the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamic state; barbaric practices of female genital mutilation and honor killings by adherents of sharia; and the whitewashing of violent jihad in American middle school textbooks. Past speakers and honorees at ACT for America’s events and legislative briefings include former Rep. Mike Pompeo of Kansas (now President Donald Trump’s secretary of state), Rep. Jim Bridenstine of Oklahoma (now Trump’s NASA administrator), Rep. Ron DeSantis of Florida (now Florida governor) and Sen. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.

I planned to talk to ACT for America‘s gala attendees about the ongoing national security threat that jihad-coddling Muslim grievance groups and other identity politics agitators in the “Open Borders, Inc.” infrastructure pose to our country’s very existence. But thanks to the Southern Poverty Law Center, Council on American Islamic Relations, Miami Herald, copycat journalists and the Trump Organization, the event was banned from Mar-a-Lago.

Yes, banned.

All it took was a noisy little echo chamber of lazy media lemmings in search of weekend clickbait. On Saturday morning, the Miami Herald published an inflammatory attack masquerading as “breaking news” with the headline:

“Anti-Muslim extremist group says it will host $1,500-a-plate gala at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago.”

Where did the Miami Herald get its characterization that ACT for America was an “extremist group”? From the discredited charlatans at the Southern Poverty Law Center. Miami Herald reporter Nicholas Nehamas admitted to me that he wrote the “story,” padded with an obligatory assist and dutiful quote from SPLC’s Muslim counterparts at CAIR, after receiving an SPLC HateWatch alert titled:

“Anti-Muslim Hate Group to Hold Gala at Mar A Lago.

Media monkey see. Media monkey do.

[….]

SPLC’s sweeping hate designations haven’t just targeted Gabriel and me (two conservative women of color, by the way), but also (for starters):

Go here to continue reading and see the extensive list of ‘haters’ the SPLC has designated and targeted (including me!) in their attempt to silence anyone who doesn’t agree with their Progressive world view.

What you can do is get Malkin’s piece spread far and wide.  I see that this morning it is at the Minot Daily News.

Just a reminder!  I am posting almost every day on the newly reconstructed Refugee Resettlement Watch.  They tried to shut me up, but have failed.

Jacksonville, FL: Citizen of Nepal Arrested for Soliciting Underage Girl for Sex

I suppose there is nothing unusual about this case.  It likely goes on across America on a daily basis, but I thought it might be instructive for a couple of reasons.

First, although the FBI makes it clear that the arrested man is not a US citizen, we are never told (as usual!) how he came to be living in America.

Did he come illegally or did he come as a refugee, a diversity visa lottery winner, or on some other visa for work or school?  If law enforcement never tells us that information how can we make a judgement about which legal programs are failing us?

The news is very brief (below), but more interesting and worth a few minutes of your time is the criminal complaint which shows how the feds got this alleged sexual predator, Sanjay Lama (aka Awesome_Jack) talking via phone and internet discussions that were being taped.

From the US Justice Department (at least the feds are telling us the man is not a US citizen right in the headline for a change).

LOL! the headline doesn’t begin with “Jacksonville man.”

Nepalese Citizen Arrested And Charged With Attempting To Entice And Meet A 12-Year-Old Child To Engage In Sexual Activity

Jacksonville, Florida – Sanjay Lama (29, Jacksonville) has been arrested and charged with using the internet to attempt to entice a 12-year-old child to engage in sexual activity. Lama is a citizen of Nepal who is legally residing in Jacksonville. If convicted, he faces a mandatory minimum penalty of 10 years, and up to life, in federal prison and a potential life term of supervised release. Lama has been detained pending a detention hearing scheduled for October 1, 2019.

According to court documents, on September 25, 2019, an undercover FBI agent, who was posing online as a 12-year-old child, was contacted by the user “Awesome_Jack,” who was later identified as Lama. On that day, during an online conversation between Lama and the undercover agent, Lama expressed his desire to meet the “child” to engage in sexual activity. Lama further provided the undercover agent with details about the sexual acts that he wished to perform on the “child.” Later that day, Lama rode his motorcycle to a prearranged location in Jacksonville to meet the “child” and was arrested by FBI agents.

[….]

It is another case brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse.

Cases like this should be widely distributed, but it won’t be because once again the PC media isn’t eager to report on immigrant criminal activity. It doesn’t fit the meme that they are all here working hard and seeking a better life.

A wide distribution of news like this might just save some young girls from exploitation as well!

Florida: Do You Know Who is Delivering Purchases to Your Home?

That is what the Palm Beach Post asked in a front page headline in the wake of the horrific murder of a vulnerable grandmother who was probably so excited to be receiving her brand new washer and dryer a few weeks ago—not knowing that her new appliances spelled death.

Evelyn Udell Smith
Evelyn Udell Smith, a grandmother who had been married for 55 years, is dead.

Who could imagine that a delivery man, working as a subcontractor for a company hired by Best Buy, would beat her with a mallet, douse her with chemicals and set her on fire!

Did you see this story?  I hadn’t until a reader sent me a clipping from the local newspaper, the Palm Beach Post.

Here Fox News explains briefly.

But in a follow-up to the original murder story, the Palm Beach Post asked,

Who’s coming into your home? Boca homicide makes you wonder

Evelyn Udell Smith died Tuesday following an attack Monday at her Boca Raton home.

Details about Jorge Luis Dupre Lachazo, the man facing a murder charge in her death, began to emerge Wednesday.

Cuban killer
Cuban Killer Jorge Luis Dupre Lachazo confessed to the murder, motive unknown!

The man accused in the beating death of a woman whose appliances he had just delivered for Best Buy didn’t work for the electronics giant. He worked for a company hired by a company hired by Best Buy.

Which raises the question: Who’s coming into your home?

Boca Raton police have charged Jorge Luis Dupre Lachazo with murder in Monday’s attack on Evelyn Smith Udell, who died the following day.

She was a mother of two and a grandmother of six. Married for 55 years. A retired college library worker. And days short of her 76th birthday.

“It’s just a horrific thing,” her daughter-in-law, Sloane Udell, said Wednesday.

Police said they haven’t determined what set off Dupre Lachazo, 21, who confessed to attacking Smith at her home in Colonnades at Glen Oaks, a neighborhood at Jog and Yamato roads just south of Spanish River High School. Arriving authorities found her in her laundry room, her clothes on fire.

“I need somebody. I need the police here,” David Gonzalez, the delivery driver whom Dupre Lachazo was helping, told police amid sobs on a 911 recording city police provided Wednesday.

The dispatcher asked if he needed just paramedics, or police. Gonzales answered, “Both.”

[….]

The problem, Davis [Donna Davis, a professor of supply-chain management] said, is that the customer waiting for delivery isn’t thinking the man or woman at her door works for some unnamed subcontractor. Or even for an outfit as big as J.B. Hunt. She’s thinking Best Buy. And that provides a false sense of security.

[….]

According to the 911 recording, after Gonzalez asked for police to come to the house, the dispatcher patched in an interpreter, who relayed the man’s frantic description of what had occurred. [BTW, if this pair hardly spoke English how the hell were they going to explain how to operate the new appliances?—ed]

About five minutes into the call, a man presumed to be Dupre Lachazo is heard in the background. This likely is when he ran past Gonzalez, got into the company truck and drove off. He was captured a few minutes later…

More of the dreadful story is here.

Pay attention to the lesson!  As more foreign cheap labor is hired by greedy companies, you won’t know who is coming into your home!

And, frankly, stories like this should be widely disseminated by the national media as a public service to us, but they won’t be because the message isn’t one the Progressives who are the media want you to hear!

We hear every day about the “vulnerable” women and children at the southern border, but what about our vulnerable senior citizens—Americans!—who are victims of evil creeps like Lachazo!
