In another in my series of posts I’m calling ‘Down the Memory Hole’—forgotten because the media doesn’t really want to report anything that doesn’t fit their ‘world view,’ I wondered whatever happened to Congressional candidateAmani al-Khatahtbeh.
Back in April she complained that someone called her home with a message:
On the evening of April 21, Al-Khatahtbeh reportedly received a phone call from an unknown number threatening to kill her and her family. She received the threat shortly after a virtual town hall she hosted on Instagram.
The caller said in part: “Your parents live at [address]. I will f**king kill them and. . .I will torture them and feed them bacon and f**king pork…As soon as you get off the phone, I’ll f**king go to his house…“Ni**er, you’re Muslim, you f**king ugly Arab Muslim. You terrorist.”
Not only did CAIR jump on the bandwagon with its Islamophobe dog whistle but she garnered the support of dozens of prominent women who came to her defense.
Yesterday I went to see if I could find out whether the perpetrator of the death threats had been identified and guess what I found—NOTHING!
Not a mention that I could find about whether there was even any investigation of the allegations. But you see it almost doesn’t matter if the call even happened because it was planted in the minds of those following the story that there was such a despicable person (and he surely must be a redneck Trumpster!).
Maybe I didn’t look hard enough, maybe you can find the truth about whether hers is another hate crime hoax, but in the meantime down the memory hole it goes…..
By the way, if you don’t followNumbersUSA,you should because they do cover the often tedious goings-on on Capitol Hill. I’m posting this bit of news here because I want to refer to it in a post at RRW shortly.
Here is what Numbers reported in an e-mail last night. See why she pulled the funding measure.
Pelosi Blinks
Good news! House Democrats have pulled funding for the Department of Homeland Security from a spending bill. This is good news because Democrats on the House Appropriations Committee planned to use Homeland Security funding to impose extremist immigration provisions.
Reportedly, Democrats from vulnerable districts didn’t want to have to defend the extremist, immigration-related provisions contained in the bill.
I list those provisions below, so you can see just how extreme they are. These vulnerable Democrats from more moderate districts balked because they knew we would be hammering them if they went ahead!
[….]
…we saw that even she just might temper the radicalism of some of her more extreme colleagues.
Here are some of the worst provisions of the bill that was pulled from consideration:
1) Would have limited ICE detention beds to 10,000, compared to a recent high of 55,000.
2) Would have prohibited detention of families, all but guaranteeing their release and encouraging future surges of family units at the border.
3) Would have prohibited the removal of aliens who have been given Temporary Protected Status but have since lost it.
4) Would have exposed more blue-collar jobs to foreign worker competition and called for an increase in temporary work visas, despite the tens of millions of Americans looking for work.
5) Would have drastically cut funding for immigration enforcement, and prohibited reallocation of funding.
In essence, the bill would have made it take far longer to remove illegal aliens, but at the same time, it would gravely restrict holding them. In short, the bill would have required something close to open borders.
[….]
Politico, the Capitol Hill newspaper, quoted a congressional staffer explaining why the bill was pulled:
“Front-line members raised serious concerns that the Homeland bill was a tough vote in swing districts because of its progressive provisions. At the end of the day, front-liners are our majority makers and there is no reason to force them to take a tough vote.”
Interesting admission about “front-line members.”
Are you in a district with a vulnerable Democrat? If so, find out where he/she stands on NumbersUSA’s immigration scorecardand exploit the bad scores you find there.
I know it is an understatement, but this election matters like no other.
And, let me ask at the outset, why are so many of you pushing for schools to re-open? If you are truly a conservative, get your kids the hell out of there and use this opportunity (the COVID panic) to launch your own homeschool!
Before I give you a few snips about what the Dems’ presidential candidate Joe Biden said, perhaps the last few lines of the story are most telling.
Here is what Emgage Action conference attendee Linda Sarsour said of Biden according to The Christian Post:
“I choose Biden. But I choose him as my opponent in the White House,” Sarsour added. “I want him to defeat Trump so we can mobilize our movements to hold him accountable and push him to do and be better. We can’t do that with Trump.”
Joe Biden wants Islam taught more in schools, decries ‘rise in Islamophobia’
Democrat presidential hopeful Joe Biden said Monday that he wants schools in the U.S. to teach more about Islam and claimed that there is an “unconscionable rise in Islamophobia” under the Trump administration.
“I wish we taught more in our schools about the Islamic faith,” Biden, a Catholic, said during his video remarks played at the “Million Muslim Votes” summit organized by the Muslim American political action committee Emgage Action.
“I wish we talked about all the great confessional faiths. [Islam is] one of the great confessional faiths. What people don’t realize is … we all come from the same root here, in terms of our fundamental basic beliefs. I just want to thank you for giving me the opportunity for being engaged, for committing to action this November.”
Emgage Action boasts of being the “political home for Muslim Americans” and endorsed Biden in April after initial endorsing Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in the Democratic presidential primary.
“Donald Trump has fanned the flames of hate in this country, across the board, through his words, his policies, his appointments, his deeds and he continues to fan those flames,” the 77-year-old Biden, who served as vice president under former President Barack Obama, said. “Under this administration, we have seen an unconscionable rise in Islamophobia, including kids being bullied at school and hate crimes in our communities.”
[….]
Despite calling out administration officials he accused of being Islamophobic, Biden mentioned nothing in his speech about confronting the presence of radical Islamic extremist groups that are responsible for the killing of thousands around the world.
Biden praised Emgage Action for its effort in getting 1 million Muslim voters to show up to vote in November.
[….]
He went on to say that “this is the most important election in modern American history.”
[….]
Biden vowed to “end the Muslim ban on day one.” Biden also vowed to work with Congress to pass hate crime legislation and legislation to end racial and religious profiling by federal law enforcement agencies.
[….]
Biden’s comments on wanting to see more Islam taught in public schools come as many public school districts around the country already include units on Islam in high school and, in some cases, middle school social studies class.
[….]
“Biden has a lot of work to do to win the hearts of young Muslim Americans who were core to Bernie’s campaign,” Sarsour wrote in a Twitter thread. “They are anti-war, pro-Palestinian, pro-Abolition of ICE & support defunding of police. They care aboutRohingya, Uighur Muslims, Kashmir, Sudan, Somalia, Yemen & Syria.”
“I choose Biden. But I choose him as my opponent in the White House,” Sarsour added. “I want him to defeat Trump so we can mobilize our movements to hold him accountable and push him to do and be better. We can’t do that with Trump.”
There is much more, including the fact that Rep. Ilhan Omar was there (not a surprise).
If you have been a follower of my other blog, Refugee Resettlement Watch, for the last dozen years you know that BIG MEAT is a big topic there as the global meat giants including Cargill, JBS Swift, Smithfield Foods, and Tyson Foods among others have a voracious appetite for cheap immigrant labor.
You also know that US Refugee Resettlement agencies are all too eager to help them continue to receive a steady flow of refugees (before Trump that is!).
So this story does not surprise me, but figured I would post it here at ‘Frauds and Crooks’ in case some of you don’t already know about BIG MEAT and refugees. And, because ‘Frauds and Crooks’is the appropriate place to post this news!
Of course Leftwing media reports like this one are meant to skewer the Republican governor and the President, but after years of watching the global meat and poultry industry destroy American towns, I personally am not going to gloss over the fact that Republicans like this are destroying our culture and economy by sucking up to global companies.
Just a reminder, it was then Senator Jeff Sessionswho publicly fingered meatpackers as major drivers of amnesty and more immigration to the heartland.
Outbreak at Iowa pork plant was larger than state reported
IOWA CITY, Iowa (AP) — The first confirmed coronavirus outbreak at an Iowa meatpacking plant was far more severe than previously known, with more than twice as many workers becoming infected than the state Department of Public Health told the public, newly released records show.
The department announced at a May 5 news conference that 221 employees at the Tyson Foods pork processing plant in Columbus Junction had tested positive for COVID-19.
But days earlier, Tyson officials told Iowa workplace safety regulators during an inspection that 522 plant employees had been infected to their knowledge, documents obtained through the open records law show.
A dozen of the plant’s roughly 1,300 workers were believed to have been hospitalized by then, and two died after contracting the virus, Tyson officials told the Iowa Occupational Safety and Health Administration.
The discrepancy adds to mounting questions that the state health department faces about its handling of public information during the pandemic. The department last week forced out its longtime spokeswoman, who said she was ousted for pushing hard to fulfill media requests and that the agency’s delays and scripted talking points were embarrassing.
The agency has also faced criticism for seeking to charge thousands of dollars for open records requests and for not routinely announcing outbreaks in workplaces, among other things. The department said it has “gone above and beyond to provide up-to-date and comprehensive information” to the public.
The early April outbreak in Columbus Junction was the first of several at meatpacking plants across the state as the virus spread through crowded workplaces.
Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds took a pro-industry approach to managing those outbreaks in Iowa, the top pork-producing state. She worked with executives to continue production even as thousands of workers became infected and some died, and she applauded President Donald Trump’s order to keep such plants open throughout the country.
See Reynolds says she wants more refugees in Iowa, here.
And see here that she received campaign donations from Tyson Foods lobbyist.
As I have said repeatedly, find a local source of meat and poultry and stop buying products from global corporations changing America for the almighty buck!
And, you have been sending your money their way thinking that they are fighting for you in the swamp, only to find out that they are basically wimps who have gotten just too damn comfortable in the swamp.
There is an excellent piece by Ned Ryun at American Greatnessin which he suggests it is time to build a new, leaner, meaner political Right. (Hat tip: Richard Falknor on twitter https://twitter.com/highblueridge)
For conservatives it seems every day brings with it another betrayal from the professional Right. The hollow people leading the Republican Party and Conservatism, Inc., have been exposed. Some of us have known for years they wouldn’t be up to the task when a true challenge came, but it is still staggering to watch the meltdown happen in real-time.
So maybe it’s finally time for those on the Right to stop doing the same things they’ve been doing for nearly half a century, and instead form a new movement—a New Right that is actually equipped to defeat the Left.
As the think tanks are shown to be ineffective in the face of the aggressive Left, more people are beginning to realize that perhaps the money given to places like Heritage, American Enterprise Institute, and Cato was squandered. And it was a lot of money. The three organizations combined raised roughly $2.45 billion between 2001-2018, and that does not include the hundreds of millions in investments and real estate.
Rational people should acknowledge this reality and stop pretending it’s not happening. People invested billions of dollars in these entities, only to realize they never intended to be anything but sinecures.
Even worse, so-called conservative think tanks have little if anything in common with America First and have been corrupted by corporatism and imagined access to power.
It’s time to abandon the concept of institution building, as though we will ever have the ability to match the Left institution for institution. It’s time for a scrappy New Right to be built with an insurgency approach: we must accept that we are not in power, that we do not control the institutions, and that it’s time to go on the offensive. Our thinking, our strategy, and our investments must reflect that belief.

Let’s Build Fleet of PT Boats
For too long we have accepted the rules of the game laid out by the statists and the Left. It’s past time to stop playing by Goliath’s rules; time to start playing by David’s.
Some people might think this is mean. To which I say: grow up. There is a war for the republic’s existence and some people are like, “Ew, this approach would make me feel so icky.” You know what will make you feel super icky? When your indoctrinated kids inform on you and get you sent to a re-education camp. So suck it up, buttercup.
