This should have happened long, long ago! Here is the Breaking News today! (Hat tip: Joanne)
The Center for Immigration Studies has filed a civil lawsuit under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO)against Richard Cohen, President of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) of Montgomery, Ala. The case is filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and seeks damages and an injunction prohibiting Cohen and his colleague, Heidi Beirich, who heads the group’s “hate group” project, from repeating the false claim that the Center is a hate group. Ms. Beirich says they are working with these businesses to silence those they disagree with!
The case is brought pursuant to the federal RICO statute because Cohen and Beirich have been carrying out their scheme to destroy CIS through the SPLC “enterprise” for two years and will not stop without judicial intervention. “CIS does not hate immigrants or anyone else” said CIS Executive Director Mark Krikorian. “Our purpose is to make the case for a pro-immigrant policy of lower immigration – fewer immigrants but a warmer welcome for those admitted. SPLC attacks us simply because it disagrees with these policy views. SPLC and its leaders have every right to oppose our work on immigration, but they do not have the right to label us a hate group and suggest we are racists. The Center for Immigration Studies is fighting back against the SPLC smear campaign and its attempt to stifle debate through intimidation and name-calling.”
Read it all here.
Readers may remember that last year the SPLC had to pay out nearly $4 million to settle a lawsuit when it listed Maajid Nawaz, a Muslim reformer, on its list of “Anti-Muslim Extremists” (a list that included me!).
I wrote about it at RRW in June of last year.
The SPLC is infamous for its hate lists that include just regular Americans who are outspoken about their views on issues involving immigration.
The obvious goal of the organization is to influence the media (most media is suckered by them!) to write and report critically of the groups and people SPLC wants silenced.
The SPLCrakes in big bucks annually with their hate lists and scare tactics.
2016 Youtube video speaks volumes!
Now watch Richard Cohen and Heidi in action in advance of the November 2016 election of Donald Trump.
Want to do something?
Spread the news about the lawsuit!
And, get that video out on Social media! It has only been viewed 120 times as of today. Make sure it gets out widely to your networks!
Ha! What do you know!
I just mentioned the New American Economy shysters (Michael Bloomberg and his globalist gang!) the other day and how they promote the phony-baloney idea that a growing immigrant population brings economic boom times to struggling (are they really struggling?) American cities. Does no one in the media ever question these slick propaganda reports? https://www.cityoftulsa.org/media/6141/newamericaneconomytulsareport11-29-17.pdf
And, along comes this news: Tulsa’s NBC 2 News falls for the supposed “study” that says immigrants add billions annually to the Tulsa economy. But, oopsy, apparently no one ever asks about what the COSTS are to the local economy. This study is a joke.
Where are the costs to the local school system, the criminal justice system, the local health system, the welfare costs?
Are the “new Americans” putting pressure on the supply of housing needed for ‘old Americans?’
And, where are the figures for the remittance dollars being sent out to the third world and forever gone from the Oklahoma economy?
Immigrants are 7 percent of Tulsa population, contribute nearly $4 billion
TULSA, Okla. — If it weren’t for immigrants, Tulsa’s population would be about 1/4 fewer than 10 years ago.
According to Christina Da Silva, Deputy Chief of Staff for the City of Tulsa, immigrants accounted for about 24 percent of the city’s growth. Yippee! We are celebrating diversity too says Christina Da Silva. https://www.publicradiotulsa.org/post/da-silva-named-deputy-chief-staff
It’s a group that continues to grow both in population and in diversity.
“The majority of them are coming from South and Central America, but we also have a fast growing Asian population. Many of them are coming from Bhurma (sic) as refugees,” Da Silva said.
About 6.7 percent of the population in the Tulsa metro area are immigrants, according to the “New Americans in Tulsa” report . In 2015, they contributed $3.8 billion to the Tulsa metro area’s gross domestic product. Da Silva says immigrants are crucial to the local economy, as many take on jobs that are in high demand like construction. [Really, there are no Americans wanting construction jobs in Tulsa?—ed]
[….] “As the city grows and becomes a more world-class city, what’s exciting is being able to celebrate the diversity,” Da Silva said.
The next time you see a gushing news story where you live about how “new Americans” are causing your city’s economy to blossom, check the study and see if the “Welcoming” gang has factored in the amount of money LEAVING your community! A small fee on Remittances will do it Donald!
Remittances are the dollars, US dollars, leaving the US economy and are the primary reason countries like Mexico, El Salvador, India, countries in Africa (e.g. Somalia!) and so forth want their migrants to get to the US where they can find employment and welfare (and fraud/crime) in order to send money back ‘home.’
I’ll bet you will never find any figure in any glowing economic study written by the likes of Welcoming America and the New American Economyglobalists that shows how much money is leaving your city or state for a foreign country.
The Federation for American Immigration Reformand other immigration restriction groups see those huge outflows as a source of funding for border security and the wall.
From FAIR’sBob Dane,
Legal and illegal migrants sent $53.4 billion in remittances back to Mexico and Central America in 2018. That’s $53.4 billion – with a “B” – and more than double the projected cost of building a border barrier.
Remittances to Mexico alone reached $33.7 billion in 2018, up 21 percent from roughly $27.8 billion in 2016, the World Bank reported.
Remittances to Central America are spiking with a growing inflow of asylum seekers benefiting from U.S. catch-and-release laws. Wire transfers to Central America hit $19.7 billion last year, up from $15.8 billion in 2016. The southbound windfall includes payments to human-trafficking cartels.
With an estimated 83 percent of Mexicans who enter the U.S. illegally sending money home, a surcharge on remittances is one sure way for President Trump to make good on his promise to make Mexico pay for the wall.
For a few cents on the dollar it wouldn’t take long for Mexico to pay for the wall! Dane continues,
At the current (and rising) rate of remittances, a nominal 2 percent surcharge on Mexico-bound funds would raise $674 million for a border wall in the first year. Slap a fee on all foreign remittances — $150 billion last year — and the 2,000-mile barrier is fully paid off within eight years.
See the World Bankstudy. There is big money for global banks in this migration business, while those billions leaving the US are no longer available for circulation in your local economy!
Looking for something to do?
The next time you see any mention in local news about how your city is booming because of “new Americans,” call the reporter, ask him/her for the study the news is based upon and look to see if any mention is made of money leaving your city or state for a third world country. If it’s not there, write a letter to the editor to tell the public that the study is bogus.
And, hey, I will bet there is no mention of costs for the criminal justice system in the glowing economic report either. There might not even be the costs for your local school system!
When I wrote my post welcoming readers to my new blog, I told you I was writing to attempt to balance the news because you will be bombarded by stories over the next two years about how immigrants (New Americans is the preferred word) financially and culturally benefit your community.
Sure they may bring some benefits but also some problems and it is the problems that Open Borders pushers like the New American Economy (NAE) and Welcoming AmericaNEVER mention. The chief propagandists behind the New American Economy. Does anyone think they have the best interests of average Americans at heart? Or is it all about cheap labor?
Someone has to do it—tell the rest of the story—and I’m hoping Frauds and Crookswill be a one-stop shop for cataloging stories about frauds and crimes that cost you and me both financially and from a security standpoint so that you can best decide where you stand on the issue of our time—migration.
We are in a tough battle because the Open Borders Left has joined with global giants to push more and more immigration down our throats. Welcoming America Founder Lubell has a new position. He is working in Germany, Australia, New Zealand and the UK to help make them be more welcoming. https://www.welcomingamerica.org/content/david-lubell
I saw a story this morning from Bowling Green, KY, a huge refugee resettlement site that I wrote about often at Refugee Resettlement Watch.
It’s about how the Chamber of Commerce and local government are working with NAE and their Gateways for Growth initiative to improve employment prospects for the “New Americans” living there.
You can read the story yourself, here.
Bowling Green is one of thirteen localities which have been awarded grants for 2019 to boost the immigrant population—to get them working and voting.
From NAE’s website:
Thirteen Communities Across the United States Make a Commitment to Welcome New Americans
Launched in December 2015, the Gateways for Growth Challenge is a competitive opportunity for local communities to receive direct technical assistance from New American Economy and Welcoming America to develop multi-sector plans for welcoming and integrating immigrants.
Here are the locations awarded grants for 2019:
Bowling Green, Kentucky
Cedar Rapids, Iowa
Charlotte, North Carolina
Flint, Michigan
Grand Rapids, Michigan
Lexington, Kentucky
Lowell, Massachusetts
Memphis, Tennessee
Northern Kentucky
Roanoke, Virginia
San Antonio, Texas
Toledo-Lucas County, Ohio
Wayne County, Michigan
Learn more here.
You know the grants themselves are really not that great, but they buy media because every location on this list will likely generate warm and fuzzy local media coverage just like the story at the Bowling Green Daily News.
Has Bowling Green already forgotten that it is the location where two Iraqi refugee terrorists were arrested only a few years ago? Has that news been swept under the rug? Sure looks like it. Are you seeing news in a local paper or on local TV about one of the other twelve locations, if so, send me a link!
Update: Thanks to Robin here is the puff-piece from Lexington, KY local news.
Sometimes our criminals at Fraud, Crooks and Criminals will be Americans like the man who allegedly killed little Jazmine Barnes in a drive-by shooting ten days ago. This is the man the New York Times and CNN were already lynching!
The black child was killed by a black thug, but the New York Times, CNNand all the rest had already lynched a “white man with blue eyes” whose likeness had been sent out around the world after other children in the car where Jazmine died told authorities this is what the shooter looked like.
I’ve told some of you previously that I watch CNNthe first thing in the morning so that I can get a feel for where they are steering the Leftwing segment of America on any given day.
Oh boy, here they go I thought when that drawing went out and the race hucksters headed to Houston. CNN actually led one segment of their morning news with the shooting “hate crime” story, even before they launched in to their daily hate fest against the President. Eric Black Jr arrested in killing of black child
That was until two days ago when, oopsy! turns out the man arrested in the case looks like this.
A second black man has been arrested.
And, guess what! No updates during my early a.m. review of CNN today.
But it wasn’t just CNN, the New York Times had gone on a ‘it has to be a hate crime’ frenzy.
Here is just one segment of a New York Timesstory (before the arrest of the black thug):
The Harris County Sheriff’s Office believes the gunman fired at random into the car in which Jazmine was riding with her mother and three sisters, a 6-year-old and two teenagers. A bullet struck Jazmine in the head, her mother said.
The police said Wednesday that they still had not identified the gunman. But the case has drawn the attention of national civil rights activists and fueled speculation that the shooting was racially motivated. The gunman is white, the police said, and Jazmine was black.[Note how the reporter phrases that, I doubt the police said the gunman is white!—ed]
[….]
In another effort to garner the public’s help, Mr. Merritt [family attorney] and Shaun King, a prominent racial justice activist and a columnist at The Intercept, have offered a $100,000 reward for information leading to the gunman’s arrest.
Maybe the New York Timeshas apologized, but I don’t see it.
Even in a story where the NYThas to admit the truth, they keep ginning up the “hate crime” meme by quoting Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, here:
“Do not be afraid to call this what it seems to be — a hate crime,” Representative Sheila Jackson Lee, a Houston Democrat, told hundreds of people at a rally last week near the site of the killing.
Now, thisis the story they are pushing widely. It is about how the poor family got confused.
Jazmine Barnes Case Shows How Trauma Can Affect Memory
Meanwhile, speaking of poor families, the family of the white man who may have witnessed the shooting is getting bullied and threatened. This is from local ABC news:
Family of man wrongfully accused by activist Shaun King in Jazmine Barnes’ shooting speaks out
Will the NYT and CNNfollow-up and report that news? I’m not holding my breath!
Maybe the “white man with blue eyes” should sue the whole bunch of them!
I haven’t done this story (“Justice for Jazmine”) justice. Some feature writer should go through the media coverage of the case and expose in exquisite detail how the frauds in the Leftwing media spin the news.
You know they couldn’t wait to blame this on Donald Trump’s America!
New category at Frauds and Crooks: Media fraud!
Would someone keep an eye on this case and see if major media outlets ever mention it again after this week?
