Southern Poverty Law Center Targeting Me Again

Once again I have made the Southern Poverty Law Center’s Hate Group List.
For a couple of years I made a joke of it.  But, it isn’t funny when they put a target on a writer with whom they disagree with the obvious goal of silencing her—that would be me!
Magnifying glass, close-up, elevated view
My first inclination was to ignore them this year so that I don’t put my safety in jeopardy, but no, what the heck, here goes….
Frankly, I thought by now their ‘researchers’ would have read my work at Refugee Resettlement Watch and learned that RRW is NOT a group.  It is/was a publication to report my research and voice my opinions.
And, to further demonstrate their careless ‘investigation’, RRW is not even an active blog any longer.
Merriam-Websters Dictionary defines a group as follows:

two or more figures forming a complete unit in a composition

The word “two” is the operative word.  There is only one person in this ‘group’ and that is me! I write my blogs alone and am paid by no one!

Ann SPLC art
This SPLC artwork is part of the campaign to target me and my opinions!

My hate crime (defined by the SPLC) as a writer at RRW was to research and write (for over ten years) about the US Refugee Admissions Program with a goal of seeing the program reformed, but in doing so I obviously angered powerful friends of the SPLC and thus became a target.
So the SPLC’s sloppy work leads to sloppy journalism like this story at the Annapolis Patch from Saturday.
No qualifiers, no research on the part of reporters, they just took the word of the SPLC!

21 Hate Groups Are Active In Maryland

BALTIMORE, MD — Maryland is home to 21 radical groups that spew hate – an increase of three from two years ago. Among them are Neo-Nazis, black and white nationalists and groups whose members are anti-Muslim or which exist to deny the Holocaust.
The list has been drawn up by the Southern Poverty Law Center, which located the groups on an interactive map.

Before I give you the groups in Maryland, ask yourselves how many actually exist?  If they have me, a one person blog, on their target list, then could some of their other groups be simply one person!  Or, perhaps they don’t exist at all?
The SPLC counts on ‘reporters’ who swallow their lists, hook, line, and sinker!
The groups (supposedly) located in Maryland are:

American Free Press in Upper Marlboro, general hate
Barnes Review/Foundation for Economic Liberty, Inc., headquarters in Upper Marlboro, Holocaust denial
Confederate White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, statewide
Identity Evropa, white nationalists, statewide
Israelite School of Universal Practical Knowledge, black nationalist, Baltimore
Jamaat Al-Muslimeen, general hate, Baltimore
Loyal White Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, statewide
Patriot Front, white nationalists, statewide
Refugee Resettlement Watch, anti-Muslim, Fairplay
The Right Stuff, white nationalist, Baltimore
Watchmen of Israel, black nationalist, Baltimore
Atomwaffen Division, neo-Nazi, statewide
Be Active Front USA, racist skinhead, statewide
Great Millstone, black nationalist, Baltimore
Israelite Church of God in Jesus Christ, black nationalist, Baltimore
Israelite The Branches, black nationalist, Baltimore
Label 56, hate music, Baltimore
Noble Klans of America, Ku Klux Klan, statewide
Proud Boys, general hate, Baltimore
Revolutionary Black Panther Party, black nationalist, Baltimore
United Kingdom of Israel Congregation, black nationalist, Baltimore

More of the Patch story here.  Don’t miss the comments as almost all of them at this point are anti-SPLC!
Are you on their Hate Map See here.
I guess I am going to have to take some action regarding the SPLC.  I don’t know what that is yet because all I have is my voice.

question markWhat can you do?  Speak up if you are on their list.  Or, if you see fake news stories like this one at the Patch, send in comments as so many did in Maryland.

Could Google be Dragged into RICO Cases with SPLC?

Now that would be fun to watch!
PJ Media‘s Tyler O’Neil is reporting that some lawyers believe it would be possible due to Google’s two-pronged partnership with the Southern Poverty Law Center.
The SPLC, as you all must know by now, every year publishes a hate group list with the goal of silencing those with whom they disagree.

Magnifying glass, close-up, elevated view
SPLC making money with Hate List https://www.nationalreview.com/magazine/2018/09/10/southern-poverty-law-center-essentially-a-fraud/

I’m still on the hate map as a “group” when in fact it is just me here (and my cat)!
And, I was on the top 15 anti-Muslim extremists list that SPLC was forced to remove, see here.
Let me be clear—I have no group! I’m just one woman with an opinion.
Here is PJ Media on the juicy prospect (hat tip: Cathy):

In recent years, the far-Left Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) has faced a slew of lawsuits regarding its deceptive practice of branding mainstream conservative and Christian groups “hate groups” on par with the Ku Klux Klan. Google has decided to partner with the SPLC, even encouraging employees to work for the organization. Conservative lawyers told PJ Media this partnership may make the tech giant vulnerable to defamation and racketeering lawsuits.
This month, Fortune reported that Google’s philanthropic arm, Google.org, launched a program that will pay Google employees to do pro bono work for nonprofit groups for up to six months. The company aims to achieve 50,000 hours of pro bono work this year. Google.org names the SPLC as one of its partners for “inclusion.” Google.org started funding the far-Left group in 2016, and has given the organization $250,000, specifically to fund a “total redesign of the Teaching Tolerance website.”
“Teaching Tolerance,” an SPLC project aimed at teachers for elementary, middle, and high schools across America, has referenced the SPLC’s “hate map,” endorsing the “hate group” labels, before and after Google.org funding. Even if Teaching Tolerance were distanced from the “hate group” smears, Google.org explicitly names the SPLC as the recipient of funding and the partner — which likely means Google employees can do pro bono work for the SPLC.
“It does appear that there’s more than funding that is taking place between Google and the SPLC and other tech companies, to the point where there’s interaction, potentially plotting, and the involvement of their so-called ‘hate group’ label that is designed for one reason — to destroy the opposition based on ideology,” Mat Staver, founder and chairman of Liberty Counsel, told PJ Media. He said “it’s plausible” Google may face RICO and defamation charges in future lawsuits.

There is more here.
And, of course you know that the Center for Immigration Studies has recently filed a lawsuit against the filthy rich SPLC.
question mark
What can you do?  First you might want to see if you’ve ‘made it’ onto the latest Hate Map.

If you happen to have easy access to an attorney, you might want to file a suit.  But mostly if you see a news story referencing the SPLC’s chosen haters, then be sure to set the record straight with whatever publication is spreading the lies about you or about people you know.

This post is filed in my ‘Charity fraud’ category and my ‘Media fraud’ category.  Media fraud for any publication using the SPLC “research.”

Breaking: Center for Immigration Studies Files Lawsuit Against the Southern Poverty Law Center

Good for CIS!

This should have happened long, long ago!
Here is the Breaking News today! (Hat tip: Joanne)

The Center for Immigration Studies has filed a civil lawsuit under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) against Richard Cohen, President of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) of Montgomery, Ala. The case is filed in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia and seeks damages and an injunction prohibiting Cohen and his colleague, Heidi Beirich, who heads the group’s “hate group” project, from repeating the false claim that the Center is a hate group.

heidi splc
Ms. Beirich says they are working with these businesses to silence those they disagree with!

The case is brought pursuant to the federal RICO statute because Cohen and Beirich have been carrying out their scheme to destroy CIS through the SPLC “enterprise” for two years and will not stop without judicial intervention. “CIS does not hate immigrants or anyone else” said CIS Executive Director Mark Krikorian. “Our purpose is to make the case for a pro-immigrant policy of lower immigration – fewer immigrants but a warmer welcome for those admitted. SPLC attacks us simply because it disagrees with these policy views. SPLC and its leaders have every right to oppose our work on immigration, but they do not have the right to label us a hate group and suggest we are racists. The Center for Immigration Studies is fighting back against the SPLC smear campaign and its attempt to stifle debate through intimidation and name-calling.”

Read it all here.
Readers may remember that last year the SPLC had to pay out nearly $4 million to settle a lawsuit when it listed Maajid Nawaz, a Muslim reformer, on its list of “Anti-Muslim Extremists” (a list that included me!).
I wrote about it at RRW in June of last year.
The SPLC is infamous for its hate lists that include just regular Americans who are outspoken about their views on issues involving immigration.
The obvious goal of the organization is to influence the media (most media is suckered by them!) to write and report critically of the groups and people SPLC wants silenced.
The SPLC rakes in big bucks annually with their hate lists and scare tactics.

2016 Youtube video speaks volumes!

Now watch Richard Cohen and Heidi in action in advance of the November 2016 election of Donald Trump.

The facts on Immigrant Crime Published in NJ Newspaper

And, not only that!  The Trentonian, via an opinion piece by David Neese, reminds its readers in blue New Jersey about statements from politicians past that should have earned them (at least) a wrist slap from the Southern Poverty Law Center.

bernie and barack
So where was the Southern Poverty Law Center when we needed them?

You have heard the comments repeatedly lately, but I will bet a buck most Dems outside of the DC beltway have no idea both Barack Obama and Bernie Sanders were so vocal in their demands for border security!
Maybe I’m too hard on the mainstream media! Sometimes they come through with the truth!
The Trentonian:

Provocation: Documented facts about ‘undocumented’

Using at least two words that are now verboten in proper Washington circles, writer Neese begins with a little provocation about the hypocrisy that is driving us nuts these days! (Emphasis is mine)

Surely it was a white supremacist — or at a minimum a xenophobic bigot — who brazenly uttered these words: “We simply can’t allow people to pour into the United States undetected, unchecked, circumventing the people who are waiting patiently, diligently, lawfully to become immigrants in the country.”
But, lo and behold, these were not the words of some slope-browed yahoo driving around in a pickup with a confederate decal on the rear window right by the gun rack.
These were the words of none other than Barack Obama, spoken in 2005.
Okay, but surely the following words, spoken in 2007, were the sentiments of a Klan rabble-rouser:
“I don’t know why we need millions of people to be coming into the country who will work for lower wages than America works and drive down wages even lower than they are now.”
Nope, not Klan words. Those were the words of Bernie Sanders, socialist tribune for the toiling proletariat.

Then he gets to the numbers that no one should ignore:

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) puts out a report called “Criminal Alien Statistics.” The 2018 edition notes 208,800 criminal aliens in state and federal prisons, doing time for an assortment of felonies at a taxpayer cost of $1.4 billion annually.
That seems like a lot of offenders behind bars if immigrant crime is merely, as frequently asserted, a “dog-whistle” term the Know Nothings employ to incite resentment of brown people.
Looking at a sample of 197,000 criminal aliens, the GAO reports an average 10 criminal offenses per alien among this group. Ten!
For the period roughly 2011-2016, the GAO reports the following number of offenses by illegal aliens:

— Drugs: 761,200 state, 336,600 federal.

— Assaults: 397,000 state, 108,400 federal.

— Weapons: 124,709 state, 44,500 federal.

— Sex offenses: 120,300 state, 13,600 federal.

— Robberies: 54,700 state, 13,500 federal.

— Homicides: 50,300 state, 6,000 federal.

— Kidnappings: 18,600 state, 5,000 federal.

Go here to read it all.
Thank you Mr. Neese and The Trentonian.  (If you are wondering, I don’t know David Neese.)
