What is most interesting to me about this lengthy report entitled ‘The US saw significant crime rise across major cities in 2020. And it’s not letting up,’ is that it was written by reporters at CNNand you will not be surprised to see some of the reasons why murders, rapes, assaults and robberies are on the rise.
Of course, claims are made that the Chinese virus played a role for various reasons, but so did those riots we witnessed throughout the summer of 2020.
And, of great concern both from the riots and from the failure of the legal system to mete out sufficient punishment is the fact that police officers are feeling demeaned by the defund the police movement.
Yes! CNN is saying this, something you surely wouldn’t have seen in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election because those are the things Donald Trump was saying.
But, before I get to the analysis of a study released by the Major Cities Chiefs Association that documents the alarming rise in crime, please see this dreadful story from South Carolina.
A Christian doctor, his wife and two grandchildren, along with an air conditioner repairman who happened to be working at the house were gunned down by a black, former football player, apparently angry because his drugs had been cut off.
Adams killed himself after killing the doctor, his wife and two grandchildren, so this will be the end of this sad story except for those in the shattered Lesslie family.
And, for the family of a repairman who surely now has a grieving family too.
Although no one was killed this time, see a disgusting violent display posted at Gateway Punditwhere some black women assaulted a hapless white US postal service worker because she didn’t have their stimulus checks.
Before I get to the CNNreport and the crime study, in 2020 numbers skyrocketed as first time gun buyers hit an all time high. Women especially didn’t have to see a study to know that they need to protect themselves now more than ever.
I wondered if the Lesslie family had a gun, but even if they did I’m guessing they had no time to get it.

It’s nearly impossible to attribute any year-to-year change in violent crime statistics to any single factor, and homicides and shootings are an intensely local phenomenon that can spike for dozens of reasons.
But the increase in homicide rates across the country is both historic and far-reaching, as were the pandemic and social movements that touched every part of society last year.

Experts point to a “perfect storm” of factors — economic collapse, social anxiety because of a pandemic, de-policing in major cities after protests that called for abolition of police departments, shifts in police resources from neighborhoods to downtown areas because of those protests, and the release of criminal defendants pretrial or before sentences were completed to reduce risk of Covid-19 spread in jails — all may have contributed to the spike in homicides.
Some cities will “outpace last year’s numbers” in Joe Biden’s America!
Through the first three months of 2021, a number of major cities have indicated they are still experiencing high rates of violent crime, according to Laura Cooper, executive director of the Major Cities Chiefs Association. “Some cities are set to outpace last year’s numbers,” she said.
Protests were violent! No kidding CNN!
St. Louis riots. Completely missing from CNN’s report are the words Black Lives Matter. I believe those three words have become a license to kill.
Protest messages varied from defunding departments to outright abolition of police forces and were sometimes violent and occasionally led to looting and other property destruction. Many protesters largely dismissed the legitimacy of American police.
Police departments were often forced to shift officers from neighborhoods where violent crime occurs to downtown areas to staff protests. Police in St. Louis staffed 160 protests downtown last summer, according to that city’s police commissioner, Col. John Hayden Jr.
Who would have guessed: “If you stop policing, violence goes up.”

Another aspect of de-policing relates to low morale among officers as a result of the Defund the Police movement. Police Commissioner Harrison noted that diminished performance by officers leads to increases in violent crime as a result of officers feeling “under attack.”
“Whenever you have an anti-police sentiment,” says Harrison, “you can very well have police officers who are not as motivated to go out and really be proactive because it’s perceived that people don’t value police.”
The heightened scrutiny of police departments has created an environment where officers are less likely to stop people out of fear of getting in trouble and being videotaped while making an arrest, said Moskos.
“It’s not that they’ve stopped working, but if they see someone suspicious in an alley, they just ignore it when a year ago they might have stopped him and figured it out,” he said. “Because what happens if he resists arrest?”
Free to kill because there will be no consequences!
The factors that determine whether an individual decides to commit a crime have everything to do with the likelihood of getting caught, and if they are caught, whether there will be consequences, said Baltimore’s Commissioner Harrison.
Harrison says the sweeping shut down of the criminal justice system for almost a year sent the message that people won’t be held accountable for their crimes.

Horror as missing grandma, 80, found ‘murdered’ behind abandoned shop
She lived on a farm that had been in the family for generations and had five grandchildren she adored.
A missing 80-year-old grandmother described as a ‘real Christian lady’ was found dead behind an abandoned grocery store near a church.
Mary Ann Elvington was reported missing on Sunday near a highway in Nichols, South Carolina. In the course of the search, Mary Ann’s 2012 Buick LaCrosse was found empty in Marion County.

Then on Monday evening, authorities found remains believed to be Mary Ann’s behind a store in the Zion community, near Zion Southern Methodist Church.
Mary Ann’s son Harold Elvington said she had five grandchildren and attended Mount Olive Baptist Church. ‘Mama was just a real Christian lady,’ Harold told WMBF. ‘She lived at the foot of the cross and where we’re at peace is where they found her. They found her at the foot of the cross.’
Today when I searched for more, I see that an arrest has been made and charges filed.
You already know where this is going.
Where is the national media on another horrific crime? Nowhere of course because the colors of the victim and the criminal don’t work for their Black Lives Matter narrative. Who cares about a few vulnerable old white grandmothers!
Bond denied for Marion man charged in murder of 80-year old former school teacher
MARION, S.C. – Marion County Magistrate Judge Danny O. Barker II. denied bond for a Marion man arrested for the murder of a missing 80-year old woman Thursday.
Dominique Davonah Brand
Dominique Davonah Brand, 29, of Marion, is charged with murder, kidnapping, possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime. He appeared in front of the magistrate and members of the victim’s family.
“This is one of the most heinous crimes that I have experienced,” Barker said. “I find that you are a danger to this community.”
Brand was arrested Wednesday on charges of kidnapping and murder of 80-year-old Mary Ann Elvington. Her body was located in the Zion community Monday after a search that started after she was reported missing out of Horry County Sunday. Her white 2012 Buick LaCrosse was found unoccupied at a location on Bobby L. Davis Boulevard in Marion.
The judge ordered Brand to remain in custody based on evidence, warrants, and extensive criminal history until he appears before a circuit court judge.
Deny him bond!
Marion County Sheriff Brian Wallace said it was law enforcement’s position that bond be denied on all charges.
“It was a violent act and one of the worst I ever seen,” Wallace said.
Wallace said the investigation is still ongoing but was thankful for the help from multiple jurisdictions and neighboring agencies.
“We’ve been working on this since Sunday and during that time we’ve had boots on the ground,” he said. “We still got a lot more work to do. I would say in my career this is one of the most horrible crimes that I have seen based on the circumstances and based on the evidence.”
Ladies! Situational awareness and wherever you can do it—carry a weapon.

Imagine the horror! A refugee family was celebrating a child’s third birthday in Idaho’s refugee capitol city of Boise and a knife-wielding madman arrives and kills the birthday girl and injures other adults and children.

Initially everyone assumed that Timmy Kinner was too mentally impaired to stand trial. But you will see here in the latest news on the case that a trial was scheduled after it was determined he knew what he was doing.

Idaho mass stabbing suspect Timmy Kinner pleads guilty to murder of girl, 3
Timmy Kinner, a suspect accused of killing a 3-year-old little girl at her birthday party, and wounding eight others during a stabbing rampage in Boise, Idaho, nearly three years ago, has pleaded guilty to several crimes, including first-degree murder.
Kinner pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of first-degree murder, eight counts of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault, and one count of use of a deadly weapon, according to the Ada County Prosecutor’s Office. The pleas were entered as part of a stipulated plea agreement, court records showed.
Kinner was arrested in 2018, accused of attacking nine people during the birthday party of Ruya Kadir at a Boise apartment complex. Ruya died from her injuries and eight other people, including five children, were wounded during the attack.
Refugees want the death penalty….
On Tuesday, Anmar Lafta, who is related to some of the stabbing victims, said he wants Kinner sentenced to death, according to the Idaho Statesman. However, it was unclear if his plea agreement will keep that option open. [Surely there will be no death sentence! Taxpayers will be praying for the creep for decades!—ed]
“What he did to children, to the family, he broke family hearts and he killed children. Those people should go to death without even thinking about it,” Lafta said. “… They’re not adults, they hadn’t seen life yet. They ran away from war to come here, and look what happened to them.”
Kinner was ruled incompetent to stand trial for several months after his arrest. Attorneys for Kinner argued that he suffered from “mental conditions” which impaired his decision-making skills and the ability for them to defend him, Boise’s KTVB-TV reported. Despite those arguments, he was declared mentally fit to stand trial in October 2019.

Here is an update to my post about the horrific carjacking and murder case involving a Pakistani Uber driver killed when two black teens attempted to steal his car.
In a statement posted on Twitter, the organization said Anwar’s “death is a devastating loss to his family and community and our hearts go out to all who are mourning his loss.”
“This unspeakable act is another tragic example of the hatred and violence that Muslim Americans regularly endure,” the committee said. “We demand authorities investigate this incident as a hate crime and prosecute the alleged assailants to the fullest extent of the law.”
“As our nation reckons with rising incidents of hate and violence directed toward minority communities, APPAC stands in solidarity with all who fall victim to the senseless consequences of Islamophobia, racism, xenophobia, religious prejudice and oppression,” the statement continued.
Of course we can’t know what these evil girls were thinking when they left home with a taser to try and steal a car, but I will bet a million bucks that they wouldn’t have done this to a black Uber driver.
I’m not defending them, but surely they didn’t know the man was a Muslim.
However, they likely knew he was an immigrant of some sort, and not black.
It is all one more example of the uneven application of standards of right and wrong (no matter who the victims and who the perpetrators are) in the Left’s ever-expanding game of racial politics.
And, as they keep it up, and twist themselves into knots trying to figure out what reaction to take depending on skin color politics, it makes for a wonderful opportunity to laugh at their hypocrisy.
I figure this is news you have already seen, but just now as I searched around I see that it took days for the disgusting story to spread. Why?
My guess is that it doesn’t fit the mainstream media’s narrative when members of one minority group, in this case Blacks (girls), kill a member of another ‘oppressed’ group, a Muslim man.

Anwar died last Tuesday when he was ejected from his Honda Accord after two teenage girls allegedly tasered him and tried to steal his car.
That was bad enough but compounding the horrible event, Bowser attempted to protect the image of Washington DC’s black community by initially lecturing drivers to be more careful about keeping their cars out of the hands of thieves.

The tweet drew outrage from critics who called it tone deaf in light of the death of 66-year-old Mohammad Anwar. Anwar died last Tuesday when he was ejected from his Honda Accord after two teenage girls allegedly tasered him and tried to steal his car.

The backlash over Bowser’s tweet followed graphic new video shared on social media has shown the events leading up to Anwar’s tragic death as well as the moment the suspects attempt to run away as he lay motionless on the sidewalk.
A father-of-three from Springfield, Virginia, Anwar was making deliveries for UberEats when the two teens, aged 13 and 15, approached his car and tasered him in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

My first thought was: so what is CAIR saying since they have been sucking up to BLM since at least last June? Have they blasted the mayor? Called for Bowser’s resignation? Called for more police protection?
Have they called it a hate crime, or an anti-immigrant xenophobic crime?
You can bet if the teens were white you would be hearing that cry already.
