Yesterday Michelle Malkin penned an excellent piece published here at TownHallabout an opportunity that President Donald Trump has given all of you—your city/county elected government must approve in writing if yours will be a community that will take on the financial burden of hosting more poverty from the third world.
(Your governor must also approve resettlement in writing. See a side bar at RRW with a list of seven governors who have already indicated that their state is open for MORE refugees.)
For nearly 40 years all decisions about resettlement sites were made at the US State Department and driven by nine unelected refugee resettlement contractors*** with no consideration given to the citizens of the communities chosen.
Needless to say, those nine want to continue to be paid by federal taxpayers and continue to decide if your town is theirs to change forever.
This is a bit of what Michelle Malkin reported yesterday:
Citizen Revolt: Resist Refugee Resettlement Dumps
Should U.S. citizens have input into whether their neighborhoods are fundamentally and permanently transformed into United Nations refugee camps full of welfare dependents and tax burdens?
Government-funded charities that profit mightily from the federal refugee resettlement program say: “Hell, no!”
But President Donald Trump and growing numbers of informed Americans across the heartland are raising their voices to say: “Heavens, yes!”
This week, an extraordinary revolt took place in Bismarck, North Dakota, where an overflow crowd of residents braved subzero temperatures to register their opposition to allowing the Lutheran Social Services to dump any new refugees in their backyard.
Thanks to an executive order signed by Trump in September, local communities now have explicit opt-in rights to stem the lucrative tide of refugees coming largely from Third World countries and jihadist breeding grounds.
Open borders legal groups are, of course, challenging the order in court. These zealots object to states and localities exercising self-determination when it comes to rejecting refugees because it would undermine “national immigration policy,” yet they promote illegal immigrant sanctuary policies in states and localities that create uncontrollable criminal anarchy.
On Monday, a large crowd showed up at a North Dakota County Commissoners meeting to oppose more resettlement in the Bismarck area. https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/2019/12/03/north-dakota-cass-county-caves-to-lutheran-refugee-contractor-votes-for-more-refugees/
While GOP Gov. Doug Burgum signaled his support for increased importation of refugees, Brian Bitner, chairman of the Burleigh County Commission, echoed the concerns of his constituents. “North Dakota is already the highest per capita state for refugee resettlement in terms of number of citizens, so in the absence of any sort of number, there’s no way we could know the cost to the state or the county, and I simply can’t support that,” Bitner told local media at the Bismarck protest.
The President has given you all a say for the first time in nearly 40 years about whether your town/city/county will host hundreds/thousands of third world refugees entering America.
Will you take a few minutes to make your voices heard?
Please see my post today at Refugee Resettlement Watch to find out what to do.
Shame on You if You Don’t Take 15 Minutes to Do This!
My apologies to readers. I’ve been so busy at RRW this last week or so, I haven’t been able to keep up with all of your e-mails and story ideas for ‘Frauds and Crooks,‘ but I must direct my time at the moment to helping to advance the President’s agenda on refugees.
If you are concerned about the US Refugee Admissions Program, please see RRWevery day!
*** These are the nine federal contractors that are largely funded by you, the taxpayer, to place refugees in your towns/cities.
I’m being swamped with news I must post at Refugee Resettlement Watch as a critical deadline approaches for the President’s September Executive Orderin which the President is seeking to give you, citizens and taxpayers, some say about refugees being placed in your towns and cities.
The President wants you to have a say in the number and placement of refugees in your states and cities. Will you help him by getting involved? He cannot do this alone!
For decades the decision to change your town’s demographic make up and to foist local and state taxpayers with the bill for arriving refugees’ care has been made from the US State Department with the ‘help’ of nine federally funded resettlement contractors.
Trump wants to change that and of course they are mobilizing to defeat him both in the courts and through grassroots organizing.
So, my time is naturally being spent at RRWthese days.
I urge you to visit this morning’s posts here and here.
That second post is especially important because I have published the Refugee Council USA’s “toolkit” the contractors are using to mobilize their people during the first weeks of December. You can use it too!
When I began writing ‘Frauds and Crook’s’ back in January my aim was to balance the news.
The mainstream media publishes ten mushy emotion-packed stories about immigrants to every one where the immigrant/refugee is a fraud, crook or criminal. I wanted to point out that for every immigrant that goes to Harvard, a dozen more are criminals.
So the stories I’ve posted are often shocking (or fun to read), but the bottomline at this point in time, is that Trump cannot do this alone and you need to do more than whatever you have been doing to tell your local elected officials (and governors) what you think about MORE refugees being placed in your communities.
Turn off the impeachment news and….
Go here and follow the Left’s blueprint for action! You only have until the week before Christmas to get it done!
The President’s Executive Order might not be perfect, but the Open Borders agitators are using it to demonstrate their power, so you need to be punching back by demanding that you have a say about whether you want your community changed forever!
“We welcome the hate crime charges in this case and urge law enforcement authorities in Vermont and nationwide to take similar actions in response to any bias-motivated or anti-immigrant attacks.”
(CAIR National Communications Coordinator Ayan Ajeen)
You are probably like me!
First question is: What the heck did 24-year-old Vermonter, Chase Atkins, say in a phone message to warrant hate crime charges, and to draw the attention of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR)?
But we aren’t being told exactly what he said! (We have a picture though!).
Addison County man accused of harassing Migrant Justice members
An Addison County man has been accused of harassing members of Migrant Justice, a Vermont-based organization that advocates for farmworkers and immigrant rights. [Be sure to see Migrant Justice’s website—ed]
Atkins could get two years in jail for the phone call!
Chase Atkins, 24, of Addison was issued a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court in Middlebury in November, Vermont State Police said. He is expected to be charged with disturbing the peace by using a telephone or electronic communications with a hate crime enhancement.
The accusations stem from incidents that occurred in late August. Police say Atkins was visiting a farm on Vermont 22A in Addison at the time, and during his visit, he let the air out of the tires of a Migrant Justice member’s car. The tires were later re-inflated, and no damage was caused.
Police say that several days later, Atkins left a voicemail for Migrant Justice in which he told them not to return to the farms. State police said the message “would have left a reasonable person to feel threatened and intimidated.”
On Sept. 12, Atkins spoke with members of the Vermont State Police about the incident. The Addison County State’s Attorney’s Office then decided to pursue charges.
The Vermont State Police have notified the Vermont Attorney General’s Office under the Bias Incident Reporting System, police said.
Earlier this month, the Associated Press reported that three other people had also been accused of vandalism and harassment targeted at Migrant Justice members in Addison County during the same late August time period.
So the feud began over access to a local fishing area!
Migrant Justice posted on Facebook in August that for a few nights, a group surrounded farmworkers’ houses, yelled insults, broke windows and air conditioning units and returned later to fire guns into the air.
Police have said that those offenses appeared to be part of a feud between local farm families that started as a dispute over access to a fishing area.
Here, jumping on the bandwagon, is an overjoyed CAIR! As I understand it, the migrant workers at these Vermont dairy farms are Hispanic, so CAIR national’s interest tells us a lot.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, which describes itself as the largest Muslim civil rights and advocacy organization in America, released a statement Friday welcoming a hate crime charge for the alleged harassment of staff members at Migrant Justice, an immigrant rights group that advocates for farmworkers.
Vermont State Police, in a news release, said Chase Atkins, 24, of Addison, will appear in Middlebury criminal court Nov. 18 to be charged with disturbing the peace by phone. The charge has been enhanced because police believe it was a hate crime.
Last month, CAIR called for a hate crime probe of harassment targeting migrant workers.
CAIR National Communications Coordinator Ayan Ajeen said the group supported the efforts of law-enforcement officers responding to a message Atkins allegedly left on voice mail at Migrant Justice that police said “would have left a reasonable person to feel threatened and intimidated.”
“We welcome the hate crime charges in this case and urge law enforcement authorities in Vermont and nationwide to take similar actions in response to any bias-motivated or anti-immigrant attacks,” Ajeen wrote in his statement.
Ajeen added CAIR has “reported an unprecedented spike in bigotry targeting American Muslims, immigrants and members of other minority groups since the election of Donald Trump as president.”
Of course, we don’t know exactly what Atkins said, but the message is loud and clear—they are watching your every move!
There are smarter ways to make your voices heard like getting politically organized, best to stick with those!
Sorry for the late notice! But, if you live in or around Maryland, Virginia or Washington, DC this should be fun!
Incredible! Michelle Malkin, Tom Fitton, Joe deGenova and more!
The Left is planning to disrupt the peaceful free speech event!
