ACLU Files Lawsuit Seeking the Release of Prisoners Held in Dallas Jail

The prisoners are endangered by the Chinese virus they say.

John Binder writing at Breitbart explains how ridiculous the lawsuit is because it could result in the release of one of the allegedly most prolific murderers of senior citizens in the US—Billy, the Kenyan Killer, Chemirmir.

I told you about another such lawsuit filed against the same jail by prisoners held at that jail, here last month.

See my extensive file on Chemirmir here.

From Breitbart (thanks to several readers for bringing the story to my attention):

Lawsuit Could Free Illegal Alien Accused of Murdering 22 Elderly Americans

An American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) lawsuit is seeking the release of inmates in the Dallas County, Texas Jail considered “vulnerable” to contracting the Chinese coronavirus — a suit that could result in the release of a high-profile accused illegal alien serial killer from Kenya.

[….]

Chemirmir with some of his alleged victims.

In criminal court, prosecutors say Chemirmir is responsible for at least 14 murders of elderly Americans in the Dallas area. In civil lawsuits, Chemirmir has been accused of an additional eight murders of elderly Americans. Prosecutors say Chemirmir would smother his victims to death and steal property off them.

[….]

Breitbart News exclusively reported that Chemirmir first arrived in the U.S. on a B-2 tourist visa in July 2003. Though Chemirmir was supposed to only temporarily be in the U.S., he overstayed his visa and became an illegal alien who was eligible for deportation.

Rather than being deported, Chemirmir was able to use a loophole in the nation’s legal immigration system, allowing him to obtain a green card after marrying an American citizen. In November 2007, Chemirmir was approved for a green card.

[….]

The ACLU, partially funded by billionaire George Soros, has filed a class-action lawsuit against Dallas County officials demanding the release of all inmates in the Dallas County Jail who are “over 50 and those who are most vulnerable to contracting the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19.”

The lawsuit is requesting that as many Dallas County Jail inmates are released as possible until the facility is in full compliance with six-feet social distancing guidelines.

More here.  Follow Binder’s reporting.  He does great work on immigration issues.

And, help keep the case of the Kenyan Killer alive because the national mainstream media isn’t touching it!   Presumably they can’t ignore his trial, but an April 2021 trial date is a long way off.

Texas: Lawsuit Seeks to Release Prisoners Due to COVID Concerns, including Kenyan Killer?

Dallas County Jail is a hotspot for COVID-19 and as a result many prisoners have been released.

According to Fox4News yesterday:

Officials release 1,000 inmates to ease crowding, slow spread of COVID-19 at Dallas County jail

DALLAS – Jails across the country are seeing more and more inmates and workers infected. In Dallas County, there is an effort to control the spread by releasing some inmates.

The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed 42 positive cases of COVID-19 in inmates. That’s 30 more than were reported this past week. Another 16 detention officers and deputies have contracted the virus, although two of those officers have returned to work.

About a thousand inmates have been released from the Dallas County jail to help reduce the risk of transmission of COVID-19 inside the facility. Inmate advocacy groups applaud the move, but still have concerns.

They say only non-violent offenders have been released. See the whole story here.

However, a lawsuit filed by prisoners held at the jail filed last week seeks to have all prisoners over the age of 50 released.

Plaintiffs in the federal lawsuit. https://www.nbcdfw.com/news/coronavirus/dallas-county-inmates-file-lawsuit-amid-covid-19-outbreak/2349058/

From WFAA News:

Dallas County inmates file federal lawsuit asking for release amid soaring coronavirus cases

A group of inmates at the Dallas County jail filed a federal lawsuit Thursday to demand immediate release for inmates who are over 50 and considered “medically high-risk” for the coronavirus.

The suit also calls for the jail to implement social-distancing guidelines and provide COVID-19 tests at no cost.

[….]

The federal lawsuit claims the jail has “failed to protect the present population of detainees, employees and the larger community against the racing spread of COVID-19.”

Okay, okay, so what does this have to do with the notorious Kenyan Killer Billy Chemirmir?

The State of Texas, in a brief seeking to intervene in the federal case, cites Chemirmir, the alleged murderer of over a dozen senior citizens housed there awaiting trial, as exhibit A of why the case filed by inmates seeking to release all prisoners over the age of 50 due to COVID-19 fears is ridiculous.

See here (emphasis mine):

Plaintiffs would have the Court order injunctive or “habeas” relief releasing a class of individuals defined as “[e]veryone in the Dallas County Jail.”1 Their requested relief covers killers, rapists, arsonists, and armed robbers. Plaintiffs want this Court to empty the jail and in the process ignore (1) state court judgments imposing custodial sentences; (2) detainer and transfer requests from other sovereign governments; and (3) state court bail orders. And they ask for this extraordinary relief without certifying a class or trying to satisfy any of the Prison Litigation Reform Act’s requirements.

See my extensive file on Chemirmir here: https://fraudscrookscriminals.com/?s=Billy+Chemirmir

The effect of Plaintiffs’ ask is extraordinary. It would include Billy Chemirmir, possibly “one of the state’s most prolific serial killers.”2 Chemirmir is accused of murdering 12 women—all between ages 75 and 94—by smothering them to death and making off with their jewelry. A state court judge set secured bail at $13.6 million.3 The federal government, moreover, has filed an immigration detainer *** with the Dallas County Jail, which means Chemirmir will be deported in the very unlikely event he ever steps foot outside of jail again.4 And now Plaintiffs ask this Court to consider setting him free because he, and others like him, might possibly be exposed to COVID19. It is obvious that releasing Chemirmir, and other violent felons, threatens the public’s safety, something echoed by law enforcement and victim’s rights advocates.5 That alone demonstrates the State’s interest in this case.6

The release of more than 5,000 prisoners during a state-wide pandemic not only places law-abiding citizens at risk of re-offenses, but also imperils the State’s efforts to effectively protect the public health in response to the spread of COVID-19 because the added strain that it would place on law enforcement.

The State of Texas, the Governor of Texas, and the Attorney General of Texas(“State Intervenors”) seek to intervene to defend the continued custody of Plaintiffs’ would-be class. Because this case implicates State law at every turn, the State Intervenors have an interest in the outcome. They also have an interest in protecting the public’s health and safety in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic. These interests are unrepresented in this case.

I fervently hope the victims’ families will one day see this man in court.  Death by COVID would be too easy for him.

*** Interesting to see that they acknowledge his illegal status in the US!

UK Daily Mail Reports on Texas Kenyan Killer Case; Most US Media Continue Blackout

Last Wednesday I reported the latest news in the dreadful serial killer case in Texas where Kenyan Billy Chemirmir is now charged in 14 murders of vulnerable senior women and where another 8 indictments could soon follow (possibly more as the investigation (we hope) is continuing).

In May 2019, Kenyan Satellite News reported on the reaction to Chemirmir’s arrest in his home village in Kenya. https://fraudscrookscriminals.com/2019/05/22/texas-alleged-serial-killer-targeted-women-living-alone-family-in-kenya-hears-the-news/

I have noticed that whenever the US mainstream media is chicken to report news that they know is explosive involving a ‘new American’ who wasn’t here for a better life, but is here to commit heinous crimes, the UK Daily Mail steps into the breach.

You can read the Daily Mail story yourself.  I’m not sure where they get the 1000 number.

And, I don’t know why they reference Nigeria in the summary, but do mention his Kenyan roots in the story itself.

Accused serial killer healthcare worker tied to a THOUSAND unexplained deaths of elderly patients is indicted on additional murder charges

The story prompted me to have a look this morning to see which major news outlets in the US have even mentioned the story that first broke in May 2019.

Here is my sample (the story has been widely covered in Texas):

Washington Post:  Most recent mention—July 2019

Associated Press: Most recent mention—July 2019

Fox News (although covered by Fox in TX): Most recent mention June 2019

New York Times: zero

Time magazine: zero

CNN: zero

MSNBC: zero

Texas: Two More Indictments in Kenyan Killer Case

So far 22 senior citizens are believed to have been murdered by serial killer Billy Chemirmir, but he has only been indicted in 14 cases so far.

Here is the latest news yesterday on the horrific murder spree that the national mainstream media is ignoring I believe because it involves an African man who should not have been in the US allegedly murdering white senior citizens. (One woman, his last victim before being apprehended, was of Asian ancestry.)

From NBC Dallas/Ft. Worth:

Suspected Serial Killer Billy Chemirmir Faces Two More Charges, Capital Murder Cases Climb to 14

Billy Chemirmir, a man accused of smothering more than a dozen women living in North Texas retirement homes and robbing them of their jewelry, has been indicted on two additional charges of capital murder.

Leah Corken (2nd on top row) and Juanita Purdy (4th on top row) were murdered within two weeks of each other in 2016 at The Tradition-Prestonwood, a senior living facility in Far North Dallas demonstrating the brazenness of the alleged killer.

Chemirmir, 47, is now facing capital murder charges for the deaths of 83-year-old Leah Corken and 82-year-old Juanita Purdy, two women who lived at The Tradition-Prestonwood in Dallas and died suddenly in the summer of 2016.

Like in previous cases, both women were believed to have been suffocated with a pillow or choked to death prior to being robbed, though the exact nature of their death is unknown. Investigators said Chemirmir posed as a maintenance worker to gain access to the women’s apartments and later sold or pawned their jewelry.

In the case of Purdy, her daughter told NBC 5 in a July 2019 interview that about $28,000 worth of jewelry was missing after her death. Corken’s family told NBC 5 she was found without her wedding ring on, something her daughter said was highly unusual.

The Dallas Morning News which has been leading the coverage of the case quotes an attorney for the distraught families.

Trey Crawford, who represents the Corken and Purdy families, among others, said: The indictments are a sharp reminder of the horrific truth our clients live with every day — that their loved ones endured unimaginable suffering and terror at the hands of a killer. It’s every family’s worst nightmare.”

Yes, imagine that Chemirmir’s evil face was the last one you saw before leaving this life.

It is outrageous that the mainstream media outside of Texas ignores this story!  So, please bypass them and get this news out to your social media networks.

All of my posts on the dreadful case are filed in a tag for Billy Chemirmir.

Debate Raging in Texas Kenyan Killer Case: Was Billy Chemirmir Deportable Before He Allegedly Murdered 22 Elderly Americans?

Demonstrating to me why the horrific case of Billy Chemirmir, who is not a US citizen, and who may end up being the most prolific serial killer in Texas history, is not getting the national media attention it deserves is because, I think, he represents a massive failure in our immigration system and because major screw-ups likely occurred first at the local law enforcement level.

And, now fear among sanctuary-minded officials at all levels who know that Chemirmir is the poster boy for everything that is wrong with our politically correct media that does not want the public and definitely not the President to learn about the case is driving the story underground.

Chemirmir allegedly murdered 22 senior citizens. One woman was Vietnamese and one was a man. The others were white women, most were smothered with pillows except the older gentleman who was found in a pool of blood. The national media continues to hide from the story. Why?

The latest is this mea culpa from the Dallas Morning News, the only news outlet doing any serious work on the case, walking back earlier suggestions that Chemirmir could have been deported.

And, although reporter Charles Scudder has done a great job, this piece is so convoluted it is impossible to know if Chemirmir could have been removed before the killing spree or not.

However, one line at the end of the piece tells me that someone is hiding something!

Further details about his status are confidential.

Here is a bit of the latest.  By the way, I just searched and find that since the newest victims were identified  earlier this month no major national news outlet has picked up the story.

Read the whole thing, but here (below) are some snips that are sure to confuse you with the immigration ‘expert’s’ doublespeak!

I think you will conclude he should not have been allowed to stay in the country prior to his killing spree and more should come out eventually.  The last line that I snipped will likely increase your suspicion that there is more to come.

In the meantime, your job is to help spread this news far and wide!

Try to reach the President with it!

Fact check: Serial murder suspect Billy Chemirmir is not an unauthorized immigrant, ICE says

Billy Chemirmir is accused of killing 22 elderly people in North Texas. His case has been cited by Twitter pundits and media outlets as an example of why the United States needs tougher immigration laws.

The serial murder suspect is a Kenyan immigrant. Some have suggested he overstayed a visa and is in the U.S. illegally.

But Chemirmir is not an unauthorized immigrant. According to a statement from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, he has permanent resident status.

Here’s some of what we know about Chemirmir’s past and his immigration status.

ICE released a statement confirming Chemirmir’s residency status after he was charged with multiple counts of capital murder.

“On March 23, 2019, deportation officers with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) filed an immigration detainer with the Dallas County (Texas) Jail on Billy Kipkorir Chemirmir, 45, a citizen of Kenya and a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., after he was charged with capital murder,” the statement reads.

Further details about his status are confidential.

More here.

Looking for something to do! Make it your mission to get the attention of the national media on this dreadful story.

These women—the daughters—should be featured on cable news!

Many of my previous posts on the case are listed here.

By the way, in case you are wondering, Chemirmir does not go to trial until sometime in 2021!
