Increasing Numbers of Migrants from Africa/Asia Trying to Reach US

MEXICO REPORTS 250% SPIKE IN AFRICANS TRYING TO ENTER U.S. THROUGH BORDER

Mexico has seen an astounding 250% increase in Africans trying to enter the United States through the southern border, according to the latest figures released by the Mexican government’s immigration agency, known as Unidad de Política Migratoria. The stats include the first eight months of 2019 and reveal that, during the same period last year, 1,507 Africans were apprehended in the country compared to 5,286 this year. During the same period 4,783 migrants from India and Bangladesh were also detained in Mexico, according to the data made public this month.

The information is alarming considering Africa and Bangladesh are hotbeds of terrorism and the fact that all the migrants are heading north into the United States. “These migrants, although less in numbers compared to migrants from Central America, increased significantly in the country,” a Mexican newspaper article states, confirming that “their principle objective is not to stay in Mexican territory but rather cross the border towards the United States.” The story also reveals that a growing number of Cubans, Haitians and south Americans, mainly from Brazil and Colombia, have also been apprehended by Mexican authorities trying to make their way to the U.S. border.

The spike in Africans is worrisome considering the State Department has determined that Africa is a major hub of Islamic terrorism, including al-Shabaab in the eastern part of the country and Boko Haram and ISIS in the west. Bangladesh is also a national security concern because the south Asian Islamic country is well known as a recruiting ground for terrorist groups such as ISIS and Al-Qaeda Indian Subcontinent (AQIS). Earlier this year a congressional probe revealed that migrants from terrorist nations, especially Bangladesh, are trying to enter the United States through Mexico at record rates.

Texas alone saw a whopping 300% increase in Bangladeshi nationals attempting to sneak into the country, according to the federal investigation outlined in a lengthy report.

I’m glad to see JW getting more involved in immigration issues. They may eventually get more information out of our government on these issues through their expertise with the Freedom of Information Act.

Who is encouraging this movement of Africans to Mexico and on to the US Border?

In 2011 I speculated it was NGOs and suggested a Congressional investigation was desperately needed.  Of course, for some reason, no one is interested in answering that question.

Maine: Four ‘new Americans’ Arrested in Case Involving Injured Naked Man

Apparently drugs are involved (see yesterday’s post) and a whole lot more.  Looks like a planned mafia-style hit!

Naked man flees captors in Casco who forced him into car trunk, shot him

The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded early Monday to reports of shots fired and a naked man running down a road in Casco.

Deputies ultimately arrested four men and charged them with trafficking in scheduled drugs. Additional charges are likely as the investigation continues.

The four men arrested are: Ajoung M. Malual, 22, of Westbrook; Mahdi B. Ali, 23, of Boston; Noh Y. Okubazghi, 20, of Boston; and Samson S. Samson, 22, of Minneapolis.

Deputies responded to the 300 block of Tenney Hill Road at 1:30 a.m. Monday after receiving reports of gunshots fired, and then of a man running down the road naked, according to a news release.

They located the naked man, who had been shot and injured. He told police he had been taken at gunpoint from his home in Naples, put into the trunk of a car, and driven to a rural area in Casco and told to strip naked.

He told the deputies that he feared for his life and began running through the woods while shots were fired at him.

The man who was shot is 39 years old but was not identified by law enforcement. He was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston and treated for gunshot wounds. He was in stable condition with non-life threatening injuries, but Capt. Donald Goulet of the sheriff’s office declined to talk about the injuries.

Deputies later stopped a vehicle in Windham that matched the victim’s description of the car. The four men inside were detained and later arrested on drug trafficking charges after deputies searched them and the car. Goulet would not say what was found during the search.

The four men arrested are: Ajoung M. Malual, 22, of Westbrook; Mahdi B. Ali, 23, of Boston; Noh Y. Okubazghi, 20, of Boston; and Samson S. Samson, 22, of Minneapolis.

As usual, no mention is made of the immigration status of the four Africans.

***Update*** Breitbart is reporting that the alleged killer came to the US as a child in a refugee family from Ethiopia. He became a US citizen a few years ago.

I’m headed out, but just want to quickly post this dreadful story (hat tip: Jim).

But here is more information at Heavy.com about the evil creep.  On social media he described himself as Ethiopian.  Note (when you read the Heavy story) that he was an Obama and Hillary supporter.

Eliyas Aregahegne: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Eliyas Aregahegne, the suspect accused in the random stabbing of a Washington D.C. dog walker who was interning in the city, described himself as a once promising college student and scholarship winner.

That all changed, police say, on August 27, 2019; they accuse him of repeatedly stabbing a stranger to death on the street in a vicious random attack. The victim was named as Margery Magill, 27, of Northwest, D.C. Police wrote that, on August 28, 2109, Eliyas Aregahegne, 24, of Northwest, D.C., was “arrested and charged with first degree murder while armed.”

“It’s absolutely tragic. I still can’t wrap my head around it,” Magill’s sister, Raeann Magill, told News4. “You know, out walking a dog and to be attacked like that. How can anyone even fathom that? I mean, it’s truly tragic and I even think to myself, why her?” Police say they don’t know.

Eliyas Aregahegne wrote on Facebook that he was single, lived in Washington D.C.,and was a “POSSE Scholar UW-Madison.” He also wrote that he was from Washington D.C. On Instagram, Aregahegne wrote, “18 y/o, Aries🐏. Ethiopian.UW-Madison Class of 2017.” Heavy contacted the UW-Madison PR office and learned that Aregahegne was briefly a student at Madison but not in 2017 as he wrote.

Diversity Visa Lottery takes Prize for Suckering US Citizens/American Workers

Do all of you know what the Diversity Visa Lottery is? Maybe you know it by its other name—the Green Card Lottery.

The Immigration Act of 1990, signed into law by George H.W. Bush, set up what I will call a monstrosity.
Supposedly we don’t have enough diversity in America and needed to open our welcoming arms to a larger variety of the world’s ethnic populations (and more workers to compete for American jobs)!
Here is what Wikipedia says about it,

The lottery is administered by the Department of State and conducted under the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA). It makes available 50,000 immigrant visas annually and aims to diversify the immigrant population in the United States, by selecting applicants from countries with low numbers of immigrants in the previous five years. As of 2017, around 20 million people apply for the lottery each year.

All efforts to kill the program have failed.
And, what drew my attention to it today (I did write about it from time to time at RRW) is this whiny report about how the recent “winners” couldn’t get on the State Department website earlier this week to find out if they had won a ticket to Anytown, USA.

Imprisoned West Virginia Pharmacist (from Uganda) Ordered to Pay Fine

So, big deal, why bother with a fine when he is in prison and everything he owns has already been repossessed.

I was interested in this story when I saw it this week in my local newspaper because the creep who was involved in fueling America’s drug epidemic didn’t look like a local.
He isn’t, but it took a little searching to find out more about DR. DAVID MUSISI WASANYI (he is referred to as David M. Wasanyi in the many news accounts of this ‘new Americans’ crimes).
Although I didn’t have enough interest to go much further after I discovered in court papers that he is from Uganda, I will venture a guess that his pharmacist degree isn’t even legit.
I didn’t see any media mention that the convicted creep is an immigrant, a new American, who is now costing US taxpayers a bundle for his incarceration.  And, I didn’t see a word about deportation either.
