How many stories have I posted here at Frauds and Crooksover the last year and a half about crooks, criminals and murderers that have completely disappeared from the news because the alleged criminal doesn’t fit the medias’ spin on who could possibly be a criminal and who can’t.
When Japanese-born (new American!) art professor Rie Hachiyanagi nearly beat to death a fellow female professor at the exclusive Massachusetts college Mt Holyoke, the story made an initial splash in local and state media (never made it to the big time that I ever saw). I reported it here in January.
But, when reader Cathy recently checked to see what ever happened to the story, she found only a piece at Town and Countrypublished in early April and now poof! the story is gone!
I’ve been thinking that I do need to go back and check on crimes I’ve previously posted and see just how many of those that do not fit the Left’s favorite propaganda have just disappeared as if they never happened.
Wikipedia has this description of the “memory hole,” a place where inconvenient or embarrassing information goes to die.

A memory hole is any mechanism for the deliberate alteration or disappearance of inconvenient or embarrassing documents, photographs, transcripts or other records, such as from a website or other archive, particularly as part of an attempt to give the impression that something never happened.[1][2] The concept was first popularized by George Orwell’s 1949 dystopian novel Nineteen Eighty-Four, where the Party’s Ministry of Truth systematically re-created all potentially embarrassing historical documents, in effect, re-writing all of history to match the often-changing state propaganda. These changes were complete and undetectable.

Obsession and Assault: The Violent Crime That Rocked Mount Holyoke
In the early morning hours of Christmas Eve last year, the Massachusetts state police were dispatched to the home of a longtime professor at Mount Holyoke College. When the on-duty trooper arrived at the home in Leverett, not far from the college, he found a horrific scene: the professor alive but severely wounded, covered in her own blood. As details of the night began to leak out in the weeks that followed, students returned to campus, but without the feeling of lightness and possibility that normally accompanies a new semester at one of America’s prettiest and most prestigious schools.
So much for diversity is strength! Art Professor Rie Hachiyanagi arrested in violent attack at all the women’s college which brags that it is an “inclusive community of students, faculty, and staff in an environment of mutual respect in which all thrive and contribute to the flourishing of others.”
Instead, there was an almost palpable feeling that something was not right here, and perhaps hasn’t been for some time. Because there was a single fact about the incident that was now widely known: The person charged with committing the violence was another one of their beloved professors.
By March, Rie Hachiyanagi, 48, had been sitting in a cell at the Franklin County House of Correction for months, having been denied bail in late February.

Mount Holyoke quickly distanced itself from Hachiyanagi, emphasizing that the attack occurred during winter recess and off campus, and that the alleged perpetrator has been placed on administrative leave and is banned from campus. The college produced no representatives to speak about Hachiyanagi. There seemed to be a hope that if no one uttered her name she would vanish that much sooner—a ghastly figment of the past.

Judge Mark D. Mason decided to hold Hachiyanagi without bail, and she will await trial from the county jail. Her next court date, a pretrial conference, is scheduled for April 22.
Another story the national media is avoiding like the plague!
Why? My guess is that because it involves a ‘new American’ committing crimes against Americans (on a lesser scale of course than our Kenyan Killer) and that is not a good look for the Lefties running the media in Donald Trump’s America.

This is an update of that very weird news we reported hereand here about the December attack on a female Mt. Holyoke professor by a fellow female Mt. Holyoke professor who attempted to kill her colleague in a case of (supposedly) unrequited love.

Mount Holyoke professor accused of assault denied bail
GREENFIELD — Judge Mark D. Mason on Wednesday morning withheld the right to bail of a Mount Holyoke College professor accused of using a rock, fire poker and garden shears to attack a colleague in the alleged victim’s home late last year.
Rie Hachiyanagi, 48, of South Hadley, pleaded not guilty in Franklin County Superior Court last week to three counts of armed assault to murder a person age 60 or older, three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon on a person age 60 or older, and single counts of mayhem, home invasion and entering a dwelling at night for a felony.
According to a report from Massachusetts State Trooper Geraldine L. Bresnahan, the alleged victim told police Hachiyanagi arrived at her Leverett home unannounced late at night on Dec. 23 and said she “wanted to talk about her feelings.” After being invited inside, Hachiyanagi allegedly attacked the victim, striking her with multiple implements including “fists, rocks, garden clippers and a fire poker.” All objects were recovered by investigators.
The alleged victim, who was present with supporters in court Wednesday, told authorities she believed Hachiyanagi was going to kill her. According to the report, when the victim asked why Hachiyanagi was attacking her, the assailant allegedly said “that she loved her for many years and (she) should have known.” Bresnahan’s report also states the victim convinced Hachiyanagi to stop the attack and call 911 by “playing along” and lying about having reciprocating feelings.

Professor at police-bashing MA college accused of attacking colleague with fire poker, garden shears
SOUTH HADLEY, MA- The campus has made national headlines for students bashing law enforcement. Now the college is once again in the news. This time it’s after a professor there was arrested on charges she tried to murder a colleague.
There’s a funny expression, helped made popular via various t-shirts, that says:
“If you don’t remember, it didn’t happen”.
Seems like that is the excuse being offered when a college professor in Massachusetts was accused and arrested for allegedly attacking a female colleague of hers inside the victim’s home.

Although, “attacking” might be a bit of an understatement, seeing that the charges levied are attempted murder based upon the extent of the injuries and the weapons claimed to have been used are downright disturbing.
Fifteen miles north of the Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts, lies the small town of Leverett which hosts a population of under 2,000 people and rarely has a violent crime recorded on the books year over year.
You can imagine the shock sent through the very small town that hasn’t had even five reported assaults since 2014 to now have someone nearly murdered in their own home.
An art professor from Mount Holyoke College, Rie Hachiyanagi, has been charged with attempted murder and various other crimes after visiting a colleague in the small town of Leverett. According to the Northwestern District Attorney’s Office, she allegedly attacked one of the other staff members from the school with a fire poker and other objects inside their home.
Just this past Friday, Rie Hachiyanagi was arraigned at the Orange District Court and was ordered to be held without bail. As of now, Hachiyanagi has another hearing scheduled on February 4th where the circumstances could change with regard to setting a bail amount.
Now for the part that will make you want to roll on the floor and laugh your head off….
Now let’s flashback to last April, when Western Massachusetts Police Academy recruits were graduating. [And using the college auditorium.—ed]
According to a report from the Daily Wire, students from Mount Holyoke College had been distributing flyer handouts alerting other students to the upcoming graduation. They planned to protest the ceremony.
The graduation was set to take place in the college’s auditorium – and activists around campus were livid.
The school circulated an announcement to make students aware of the large police presence on campus.

The notice being circulated by student activists was claiming that the administration was welcoming a group synonymous with white supremacy.
The school is “welcoming a large number of armed individuals from a known paramilitary organization with a documented history of white supremacist and patriarchal violence,” the flyer said.
It then named minority groups that have a “reason to be alarmed.
They even said allowing the graduation would make campus unsafe for, “black women, women of color, Black queer and trans folks, queer and trans folks of color, non-Black/POC queer & trans folks, undocumented folks, and disabled folks.”
There is much more, so you must go read it yourself because reporter Gregory Hoyt did a lot of work. However, below is one last comment that had me roaring with laughter alone here in my attic room (I recently moved up from the basement):
Your teachers might be running around preaching about how Trump is evil and that police officers and conservatives are all racist, homophobic hate-mongers, but I can guarantee you that’s more ridiculous than the fact you’re paying $50,000 a year to get a ‘gender studies’ degree.
Professor Hachiyanagi will be back in court on February 4th, so come back for the next installment shortly thereafter.

Mount Holyoke professor accused of attacking colleague over unrequited love
LEVERETT, Mass. — A Mount Holyoke art professor is accused of going to a fellow professor’s home over Christmas break and attacking the woman with a rock, a fireplace poker and garden shears out of unrequited love, according to court documents.
Rie Hachiyanagi, 48, of South Hadley, is charged with armed assault to murder a person older than 60, three counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, one count of mayhem and one count of armed assault in a dwelling. According to Northwestern District Attorney David E. Sullivan’s office, Hachiyanagi was arraigned on the charges Friday.
The victim, whose name has been redacted from police reports to protect her identity, is expected to survive, but she suffered severe injuries, Sullivan said in a news release.
The woman is not a member of the art faculty and it was not clear how well she and Hachiyanagi know one another, though the victim told investigators she’d known Hachiyanagi since August 2005.
The victim told state troopers she and Hachiyanagi have never been romantically involvedand that Hachiyanagi was in a long-term relationship with a man, according to court documents.
Both professors were on winter break when the attack took place, according to a spokeswoman for Mount Holyoke, a women’s college about 12 miles north of Springfield in South Hadley. Christian Feuerstein told the Boston Globe that Hachiyanagi has been placed on administrative leave.
Mount Holyoke President Sonya Stephens spoke with students/faculty and didn’t name either professor. From the colleges website: “Mount Holyoke sustains an increasingly diverse, global, and inclusive community of students, faculty, and staff in an environment of mutual respect in which all thrive and contribute to the flourishing of others.”
“This individual … is not permitted on our campus pending further review of the incident,” Feuerstein said in a statement. “We will cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies in support of their ongoing investigations.”
Mount Holyoke President Sonya Stephens also addressed the incident with students and faculty, without divulging either professor’s name, Friday, the same day Hachiyanagi was arraigned.

The newspaper reported that Hachiyanagi, a native of Japan, has been a member of the school’s faculty since 2004. A professor in art, art history and Asian studies over the years, she is currently chair of the college’s Art Studio, or art department.
A criminal complaint filed by Massachusetts State Trooper Geraldine Bresnahan indicates that police were called to the victim’s home in Leverett, located about 16 miles north of campus, just after midnight Christmas Eve. Hachiyanagi was the person who called 911.
The responding officers arrived to find both Hachiyanagi and the victim lying on the floor of the home’s foyer. Though Hachiyanagi was uninjured, the other woman was “barely breathing, semi-conscious and with a head injury,” Bresnahan’s statement reads.
Hachiyanagi told the officers she had arrived for previously agreed upon plans with the victim to find her beaten and lying in a pool of blood. The officers searched the house, multiple outbuildings and the property for an assailant, with no results, the complaint says.
At that point, the victim, who was able to speak, told the troopers she had lost her glasses in the attack and did not know the gender or anything else about the person who had attacked her.
Her statements would change drastically when she was at the hospital — and away from Hachiyanagi, according to court documents.

What I want to know is this: Do foreign exchange students come here and decide to stay for decades?
Hachiyanagi is a renowned artist known for incorporating handmade paper in her work, according to Mount Holyoke. A 2017 blurb on the college’s website and a 2012 article in the Globe both reported she first came to the United States in 1988 as a high school exchange student.
She decided to become an artist after having to use sketching to communicate in the Kansas community in which she was placed. According to the 2012 Globe story, she was also asked to paint a homecoming mural at the high school.
After deciding on her 18th birthday to study art, she never returned to live in Japan, the Globe reported.
