In Maryland Sanctuary County Unaccompanied Minors Arrested on Murder Charges

So much for the sob stories about the ‘unaccompanied minors’ (sometimes referred to as unaccompanied alien children) who enter the US without Mommy or Daddy and end up in the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement.  Here at least four of this MS-13 gang once held that status.

If you are an MS-13 gang member, Montgomery County, Maryland is your home away from home!

From the Washington Post:

Sixth suspect arrested in Montgomery homicide involving MS-13, police say

Police arrested and charged a sixth suspect in a May 26 homicide that Montgomery County police said involved members of the MS-13 gang.

Think about it! Four of these little darlings were once ‘unaccompanied minors’ in the care of the Office of Refugee Resettlement. From left: Carlos Andres Orellana, Daniel E. Huezo Landaverde, Oscar Effrain Zavala-Urrea, Romeo Almengor Oxlaj-Lopez and Victor Alfonso Cruz-Orellana.

Jose Luis Lainez-Martinez, 26, is being held without bond on a first-degree murder charge. No attorney was listed for him in court records.

According to court documents, the homicide occurred when Francisco Medrano-Campos, a painter, left his Wheaton apartment and was ambushed by MS-13 gang members who had watched his movements and knew what time he left for work. He was shot multiple times at 7:06 a.m. and died on the scene, police said.

Weeks before the incident, Medrano-Campos had gotten into an argument with one of the suspects who had broken into his apartment and stolen $3,000 in cash and two video-game systems, court documents allege. Medrano-Campos reportedly fought back, demanding the suspect return what he stole and beating him with a lead pipe, the documents state.

“By all accounts, he was a hard-working guy who was headed to work that morning,” said Capt. Edward Pallas, director of the major crimes division at the Montgomery County Police Department, of Medrano-Campos.

Monday’s arrest of Lainez-Martinez is the latest related to the killing. On June 10, police arrested and charged five suspects — ages 19 to 21 — with one count each of first-degree murder. All were accused of playing different roles in the slaying, from lookouts to shooters, according to court documents. The suspects, Carlos Andres Orellana, 21, Daniel E. Huezo Landaverde, 19, Oscar Effrain Zavala-Urrea, 19, Romeo Almengor Oxlaj-Lopez, 20, and Victor Alfonso Cruz-Orellana, 21, are all being held without bond.

Four of the suspects — Orellana, Zavala-Urrea, Oxlaj-Lopez and Cruz-Orellana — entered the country illegally from Central America as unaccompanied minors and were transferred to the custody of the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement, an Immigration and Customs Enforcement spokeswoman previously told The Washington Post. ICE asked Montgomery jail officials to notify the agency if any of the four will be released from custody, a process known as a detainer that can lead to deportation.

Deportation!  It is more likely they will get years behind bars and you will be paying for their care with your tax dollars!

I once lived in this county that is a sanctuary for scum like this.  So glad I got out when I did!

Could Illegal Aliens be Responsible for Jump in Chinese Virus Cases in Border States?

Todd Bensman, writing at the Center for Immigration Studies, thinks that is possible.

Mounting Evidence Points to Covid Refugees from Mexico as a Major Factor in Border-State Spikes

Evidence continues to mount that spikes in Covid cases in U.S. border states are due to successive waves of infected people fleeing Mexico’s dysfunctional and overwhelmed hospitals to get American medical care at least as much, if not more than, to the re-opening of those states’ economies.

This matters because officials in border states are beginning to base policy decisions for partial lock-downs on grounds that lifting them is what caused the spikes.

Although the states and hospitals do not release nationality or immigration status information, several Border Patrol agents told the Center for Immigration Studies that, per policy, they have been transporting to U.S. care facilities increasing numbers of illegal Central American border-crossers they apprehend who report Covid-like symptoms, as well as Cubans, Venezuelans, Ecuadorans, and other nationalities.

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection’s media relations office was not able confirm the extent to which that was happening, but did release the following statement regarding Border Patrol hospital runs such as those the agents described.

“CBP has longstanding procedures in place to ensure that the individuals we encounter are able to receive treatment from local health authorities or other medical professionals. All persons in CBP custody who meet the Center for Disease Control’s Covid-19 travel history and enhanced screening guidelines are being referred to the CDC or local health officials for additional screening. CBP takes all necessary precautions to ensure that no communicable diseases are spread across populations in custody.”

Earlier, the Washington Postthe New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal all reported a crush of infected people from Mexico coming over the Arizona and California borders, although the publications say all appear to be American expatriates, dual citizenship holders, and Mexican legal permanent residents.

States appear to be transporting many to interior facilities to keep bed space free on the border as the influx continues, adding to the impression that these imported patients were infected inside the United States due to lifting lock-downs rather than in Mexico, where few social distancing measures were implemented.

The Times and now Reuters have reported that California, for instance, has been airlifting Covid patients from “saturated” border clinics to hospitals in the state’s interior.

‘Dreamers’ Win as Supreme Court Upholds Power of the “Administrative State”, aka the Swamp

Confused about what happened in the Supreme Court this past week on the DACA ‘kids’?

Ken Masugi writing at American Greatness tells us how bad the decision is for us that a President is bound to an illegal decision made by a previous President simply because the new President calling foul didn’t dot all the ‘I’s and cross all the ‘T’s.  (Hat tip: Paul)

(Of course questions remain about whether the Trump Administration was screwed by sloppy legal work on his side, or intentionally sabotaged by government lawyers who crafted its case.)

A New Dred Scott Decision Immortalizing Bureaucracy

Just as the infamous Dred Scott case in 1857 would have extended slavery throughout America, so Thursday’s decision in Department of Homeland Security v. Regents of the University of California threatens to make the machinations of bureaucratic government supreme and unrepealable.

A great disappointment again: Chief Justice of the United States, John Roberts was nominated by President George W. Bush.

Chief Justice John Roberts’ 5-4 court opinion strengthens the grip of the administrative state—the interlocking network of bureaucracy and political correctness—over the democratically elected branches that are supposed to make us a nation of self-governing citizens.

The Supreme Court, in a seeming conspiracy with lower federal courts, has tilted the table against the elected president and his appointees in favor of bureaucratic governance.

As dissenting Justice Alito pointed out, “the Federal Judiciary, without holding that [the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program] cannot be rescinded, has prevented that from occurring during an entire Presidential term. Our constitutional system is not supposed to work that way.” The judiciary, far from clarifying and drawing bright lines, has effectively become part of the bureaucracy.

Admitting that the equal protection or due process rights of the children of illegal residents—a.k.a. “the dreamers”—were never in jeopardy, Roberts nevertheless concluded that the Trump Administration’s repeals of unlawful Obama Administration actions are illegal because the appropriate provisions of the Administrative Procedures Act were not followed.

We need to all pray that Justice Clarence Thomas remains on the court for many years to come.

In his dissent, Justice Clarence Thomas (joined by Justices Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch) noted that as a result of this ruling, the Department of Homeland Security “is not only permitted, but required, to continue administering unlawful programs that it inherited from a previous administration.”

Despite the illegality of DACA and other policies, which were never laws to begin with, there remains the question of how we are to be free of arbitrary and capricious bureaucratic edicts and decrees.

[….]

To repeat: the error is the most basic separation of powers error possible: The court confused itself with the Congress and began making policy demands of the executive…

[….]

Aided by a life-tenured Court, the administrative state may have found its Dred Scott case in DHS v. Regents and thereby the means for making itself the true ruler of America.

Whether this will portend a new civil war over whether Americans are subjects or citizens is an open question. For one thing, it isn’t a war unless citizens recognize they are being fired upon.

More here.

And, if there was only one reason (there are many!) to get out there now and work to assure that President Trump is reelected remember this—the President appoints federal judges and Supreme Court justices!

Judicial Watch: So-called ‘Dreamers’ Arrested in Arizona Riots

Never let a good crisis go to waste!  Leftwing agitators are milking the death of George Floyd for all it is worth.

Just this morning someone sent me news about the Sunrise Movement, ostensibly a green new deal group, that is also out stirring up unrest that you can only assume was planned well in advance of the Minneapolis meltdown.

One wonders if Floyd hadn’t died what fuse were they planning to light to ignite the 2020 (election year) revolution.

Dreamers Arrested in Protests Helped Those who “Were There to Commit Crime and Damage”

Maxima goes to Washington. Photo from her closed Twitter page.

Illegal immigrants protected by an Obama-era amnesty for adults who came to the U.S. as children are among the rioters arrested and charged with crimes in Arizona. One of them, 30-year-old Mexican illegal alien Maxima Guerrero, is a community organizer with a Phoenix-based grassroots migrant justice organization called Puente Movement.

She has been shielded from deportation under Obama’s controversial program known as Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) since 2013. The former president issued the DACA executive order after Congress repeatedly rejected legislation offering illegal immigrants similar protections. The failed measure was called Development Relief and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM Act) and DACA recipients are often called “Dreamers.”

More than 100,000 DACA applicants have criminal histories, according to figures released late last year by the U.S. government. Many have been arrested for serious crimes such as murder, rape and driving under the influence. The government can deport those charged with crimes, immediately stripping them of the Obama protections but that rarely occurs.

The recent Phoenix arrestees were apprehended in the course of criminal behavior, according to a local news report and information obtained by Judicial Watch from police sources on the ground. Guerrero and two other Dreamers were out rioting and looting in a “Justice for George Floyd” protest in downtown Phoenix, city police sources tellJudicial Watch.

Chief Jeri Williams

Phoenix Police Chief Jeri Williams said this in the media about the vehicles occupied by the arrested Dreamers: “Those cars were used to fortify and give rocks and water bottles, food to those individuals who were there to commit crime and damage, to do dangerous things to our community.”

The information is especially relevant considering the source is an open borders advocate. A few years ago Williams, who joined protestors in downtown Phoenix, tried to make her law enforcement agency an illegal immigrant sanctuary at the request of a leftist group.

Judicial Watch obtained records of a secret meeting in 2017 in which the police chief of Arizona’s largest city took orders from Will Goana, policy director for the state chapter of the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

Michigan: Unaccompanied Alien Children Run Away from Foster Care

This story is published presumably to get the word out for people to report the missing Guatemalan children, but I wondered how many more of the ‘asylum seekers’ split and disappear into ethnic ‘communities’ in America.

From Michigan Live:

Unaccompanied minors seeking asylum run away from Holland foster home

HOLLAND, MI – Police are looking for a brother and sister who entered the U.S as unaccompanied minors and have run away from their foster home in Holland.

The 16-year-old (if he is 16!) if found should be denied asylum on the grounds that he is too dumb to be allowed to stay. He is endangering his sister (if she is his sister) and is wasting police manpower as the search is conducted.

Juan Emerson Garcia-Yax, 16, and his sister, Emelyn Garcia-Yax, 8 ran away from their foster home on East 25th Street late Sunday, May 31, or early the next morning.

They are originally from Guatemala. They entered the U.S. in March as unaccompanied minors seeking asylum. The Office of Refugee Resettlement placed them in foster care during the legal process.

“Juan left a note for the foster parents expressing his gratitude for everything they had done for them but indicated that they needed to leave to take care of ‘personal matters,’ Holland police Capt. Robert Buursma said in a statement.

Police said no vehicles are missing from the home. Police contacted bus companies and Amtrak but could not find the children. They have a relative in the state of New York but he has not heard from the children, police said.

Police have not determined where the children could be going or what transportation they may have.

My guess is that he isn’t dumb at all, but was supposed to deliver the girl to someone (a human trafficker?) and he messed up.  If anyone sees an update, let me know!
