United Nations Running Out of Money!

Starving the beast may be the best way to control it!

The Trump Administration has been signalling it would like to reassess the US commitment to the UN which amounts to 22% of the UN’s $5.4 billion annual budget.

UN Secretary General Guterres doesn’t look happy as Trump speaks. BTW, what is he doing with his fingers?

Before I continue, don’t miss my post at RRW this morning about the latest revelation about refugee fraud within the UN—all the more reason to stop funding the United Nations!

Oh, and while you are visiting RRW, be sure to see my extensive archive on socialist UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres who was previously the UN High Commissioner for Refugees so I followed his ‘career’ for years.

From CBS:

United Nations could run out of money in a few weeks, Secretary General warns

United Nations — The United Nations is running a deficit of $230 million, Secretary General Antonio Guterres said on Monday, and may run out of money by the end of October. In a letter intended for the 37,000 employees at the UN secretariat and obtained by CBS News’ Pamela Falk, Guterres said unspecified “additional stop-gap measures” would have to be taken to ensure salaries and entitlements are paid.

“Member States have paid only 70 percent of the total amount needed for our regular budget operations in 2019. This translates into a cash shortage of $230 million at the end of September. We run the risk of depleting our backup liquidity reserves by the end of the month,” he wrote.

Gasp! Cutting travel and meetings might be necessary to save them money! And, they might have to take measures to save energy!  Isn’t the leading global warming proponent in the world already taking all necessary measures to save energy?

To cut costs, Guterres mentioned postponing conferences and meetings and reducing services, while also restricting official travel to only essential activities and taking measures to save energy.

Although 129 States out of 193 have now paid their regular annual dues, the most recent being Syria, UN Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric told correspondents at the regular briefing in New York, others needed to pay “urgently and in full”.

[….]

Guterres had asked member states earlier this year to up contributions to the world body to head off cash flow problems, but they refused, a UN official told French news agency AFP on condition of anonymity.

The US is paying almost one quarter of the UN’s entire budget!

Not including what it pays for peacekeeping operations, the UN’s operating budget for 2018-2019 is close to $5.4 billion, with the United States contributing the largest share at 22 percent.

We have admitted to the US over 250,000 Afghans and Iraqis in the last decade, must we take more?

Today at Refugee Resettlement Watch I reported on a columnist at the Philadelphia Inquirer blasting the President and saying he is morally bankrupt for not being willing to take as refugees thousands more from those two countries.

What do you think?  We freed the Iraqis from a tyrant in a war that cost us enormous blood and treasure, so why are we obligated then to take thousands, tens of thousands! of nationals from those countries to live in America.

When is enough enough?

The war in Iraq ended in 2011!  Does our obligation continue for decades?

Trudy apparently thinks it does!

How about you?

President Was Right: “Devil’s Highway” from Massachusetts to NH Brought Drugs to Granite State

This week the feds busted 38 individuals they say are responsible for addiction and death in New Hampshire.

Trump in New Hampshire

The operation dubbed “Devil’s Highway” once again brought attention to Trump’s words about how Lawrence, Mass. is a hub for the distribution of dangerous opioids and other drugs throughout New England.

And, it sure looks like ‘new Americans’ are responsible….

MSN News:

President Trump’s Lawrence comments back in spotlight after massive drug bust

“For anyone who said Lawrence is not a hub for distribution, how you looking now?” said N.H. state Rep. Fred Doucette, who was a state co-chair for Trump’s 2016 campaign.

“This definitely solidifies some statements that people took offense to,” Doucette added.

“Incidents like this are proof positive of the fact that Lawrence is a hub.”

The 10-week enforcement operation in the Merrimack Valley targeted drug distribution in Lawrence, and trafficking between Lawrence and destinations in New Hampshire.

These U.S. attorney prosecutions should resonate with New Hampshire voters, said Republican activist Fran Wendelboe.

For details on the bust see Monday’s US Justice Department press release:

Michelle Malkin: Sixty Reasons Why the US Refugee Program is a Danger to Us!

Malkin’s timing is excellent because as I write this the Trump Administration is wrestling with an important legal requirement.  In the coming weeks they must decide how many refugees (if any!) will be admitted to the US in FY2020 which begins in 21 days!

Open borders inc. cover

Every year since the Refugee Act of 1980 was signed into law by Jimmy Carter, the President determines how many UN-selected refugees will be welcomed to a town near you.  Needless to say the refugee industry is in high gear putting pressure on the White House to get the numbers as high as they can (they are demanding 90,000) because the refugee contractors financial survival depends on high numbers!

Therefore, the timing of the release of Michelle Malkin’s new book couldn’t be better.

Here, at Breitbart, she pulls no punches and tells us about it and directs your attention to 60 reasons (60 Islamists we welcomed to become ‘new Americans’ while they came to do us harm.)

By the way, Trump can legally set the refugee ceiling for FY2020 at Zero!

Exclusive — Michelle Malkin: 60 Terrifying Reasons Trump Is Right to Reduce Refugees

Michelle-Malkin2-e1447793943425Here are three facts that the most hysterical voices attacking the Trump administration’s proposal to radically reduce or freeze refugee admissions don’t want you to know:

1) They make billions of dollars off the federal refugee resettlement racket;

2) They are protected by the Open Borders Inc. media, which routinely whitewashes the gobsmacking financial self-interest of the “Let Them All In” leeches; and

3) They are never held accountable when untold numbers of the world’s most wretchedly violent and aggrieved refugees come here to sabotage the American Dream.

While left-wing religious groups, tax-exempt non-profits tied or allied to George Soros, and the amnesty-shilling Catholic Church scream “No hate, no fear, everyone is welcome here!” at the top of their lungs, American neighborhoods are being overrun by dangerous foreign criminals and jihad plotters.

Refugee resettlement contractor and British national David Miliband with his hero—George Soros!  See all of my posts at RRW about Milband and Soros.  https://refugeeresettlementwatch.org/?s=Miliband+and+Soros

David Miliband, president and CEO of International Rescue Committee, attacked the White House plan to slash refugee numbers from an Obama-era high of 100,000 to less than the current historic low of 30,000 as “inhumane.”

Is it because cutting the numbers would cut in to Miliband’s first-class travel and business lunch tabs? Malkin Truth-O-Meter: mostly likely true!

What Miliband neglects to mention in his diatribe against President Trump that his organization is one of 9 behemoth government contractors that works with the hostile United Nations and encrusted State Department social justice warriors to import thousands of new refugees every year with little input from the communities in which they are dumped. Miliband earns nearly a million-dollar salary*** and by one estimate, IRC has raked in nearly $900 million in refugee resettlement profits over the last decade. When you cut through the Statue of Liberty smokescreen of the open borders “charities,” the math is clear:

Reduced refugees means reduced cash flow.

Zero refugees means zero cash flow.

Why should taxpayers continue to see their hard-earned money siphoned away to feed the Trump Resistance Machine and Democrat Party’s Permanent Ruling Majority Project?

There are even more compelling reasons to throttle the refugee flow. According to the logic-twisting, ICE-doxxing cheerleaders at the New York Times, refugee reductions are the real threat to our nation because if we don’t keep importing hordes of Muslim translators from Iraq or Afghanistan, it would “undermine” our national security.

This is just plain ass-backwards.

Continue reading here to see the sixty reasons….

***And see my post here at RRW a few days ago about the push to admit more Iraqi and Afghan translators.   You will see the proof of Miliband’s obscene salary!

By the way, I am seeing a huge push by the contractors and their media lackeys to pressure the President at this very moment to agree to admit tens of thousands of UN-selected refugees to be your new neighbors.

New Post at RRW: Refugee Contractors Counting on US Military to Fight for Increased Refugee Admissions

I’ve posted an important piece at Refugee Resettlement Watch this morning.

miliband-in-manhattan
Miliband is doing well by doing good.  See how well!

The federally-funded refugee contractors are counting on the US military to carry their water in demanding that the President set the refugee admissions cap higher this coming year.  Big meeting on Tuesday.

See who all the players are!

Hint! Moneybags Miliband is involved…..

It is long but an important read!
